Chris was fantastic. The day before we were heading home from vacation in Siesta Key our rental car got a nail stuck in the tire. It was past hours and enterprise referred me to Chris. We showed up the next morning at 7am with the car packed to drive home and he repaired the tire within the hour so we could start the long 15 hour ride home. He was so incredibly nice. Don't go to this shop! I had a clear conversation ahead of bringing my vehicle (towed in mind you) with Chris the manager on the issues I had with my car. He stated their game plan of assessing the vehicle and then we would discuss next steps. I had the car towed in by 10:30a on Tuesday - was told "give us a couple hours and we will call you with what we find". No word AL DAY, so I call right before they close at 7pm - was told they hadn't even gotten my car into a bay to start looking at it! But that it would be "first thing" Wednesday. On Wednesday at 10am (they opened at 7am) I call and speak to Chris - mind you he didn't bother calling me - only to learn "we can't bring your car in and get it on our lifts".....whaaaaat? The reasons given were all thing I stated in my initial call Monday with Chris. He tried to outline a "next step" at which point I asked him to provide pricing details of what that would look like and Chris replies "oh, well I haven't had time to price that up yet" - excuse me! I am the one chasing him for answers. So needless to say, I am escalating these concerns but am not one bit hopeful this shop can deliver!! read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! RUN FAR FAR AWAY!!WE COULD HAVE DIED BECAUSE OF THEIR HORRENDOUS SERVICE!! I took the car to the Mercedes dealership in Sarasota to get repaired and the car will be done by Wednesday at a cost of $8800. Bottom line: I had 3 new tires installed on a 2015 S550 Mercedes yesterday and the technician left all of the lug nuts off of one of the tires and the tire fell off as I was driving my wife and friends to dinner. We were incredibly fortunate that no one was injured or killed. Now the rest of the story: I brought the car in two days ago to get one tire replaced or repaired as it was leaking air. I also had an oil change. The manager said the car would be fixed within 1 1/2 hours so I decided to take a walk. When I returned to the store an hour and forty five minutes later the manager said that I needed four replacement tires and he had to order them because he didn't have the Goodyear Run-Flats in stock. I asked him why couldn't he have called me to tell me that he didn't have the tires in stock sooner and his reply was that he was trying to locate the tires. I was OK with that but still not happy that he didn't give me the courtesy of a call as soon as they had done the oil change and he knew that they didn't have my tire size in stock. The manager said that I needed four replacement tires. I didn't. One of the tires was in fact purchased last year, had a ton of tread on it (I didn't remember this at the time and remembered it only when my wife told me that I purchased one new recently form Mercedes). Two of the other tires had in fact, plenty of tread on them and the one damaged tire that was leaking had a hunk of rubber out of it and was probably the only tire that needed to be replaced. I said OK and ordered 4 new tires. When I got home, I called the Mercedes dealership ito find out exactly when I had purchased the one new tire. I found out that I purchased the tire a year and a half earlier. We live in Atlanta and have a condo in Sarasota and we are rarely here because my mom is ill in Atlanta so I doubt if the car had been driven 3,000 miles since I had purchased the new tire. The tire was also in perfect shape. I didn't need four new tires so I called the manager and told him one tire had hardly been driven and canceled one of them and he apologized. So, the manager ordered 3 Goodyear Run-Flat tires and when I got there he said it would be 1 to 1 1/2 hours to install. I had originally told the manager that I would be in at 3 PM and I arrived at 12:30 and asked if he was able to install them earlier. He said yes and about two hours and 45 minutes later I walked into the garage where they were servicing my car and asked the technician how much longer it would be. He said he was working on the second tire, so it actually took about another 45 minutes. This was the technician that left the Lugnuts off of my tire. I don't know if it was an accident or intentional. When the technician finished and brought me the car out to me I thanked him and he looked away. He would not look me in the eye and I thought that strange at the time. He also left the protective plastic wrap that they put on the seat when you arrive to keep it from getting dirty. I asked him if he was going to remove it and he came back, grabbed it and pulled it off, once again, not looking me in the eye. So strange. I know that tires plus is owned by Bridgestone and it's a huge company but this branch is just an AWFUL place to buy tires!!! Service was just ok... had our car for 3/4 days and never called with the quote.. we finally called and they had not started on the car yet so it had to sit over the weekend and we didn't have a car. Hopefully today (Monday) we will get the car back. We are a regular customer here and it's disappointed in the lack of customer service. in no hurry to return read more

Posting a review because I saw these guys have 2 stars on yelp at the time of this review. This rating isn't really a fair one. These guys know their stuff. I came in there yesterday for a last minute alignment and they were able to squeeze be in even though they were slammed. Hector did my alignment and I don't have an easy one to align. My car has been lowered and has aftermarket suspension parts. He was able to knock out the alignment in under an hour and get it exactly how I wanted it. These guys know how mechanic business works and do a great job. Be nice to the people who do service for you and you'll get great service! Thanks to Jeff, Hector and the team there! Edit: Something else to mention for people with low cars. This is one of the only alignment shops in Sarasota/Bradenton that had the clamps that hook to the wheel instead of the tire. So if your car is low, this is the place to go. read more

DO NOT GO especially if you are a single woman. I went there after a friend recommended it. They tried to overcharge me for brakes, wheel cylinders, drums, and rotors. The Internet is something I avoid. Today I am making an exception for the Tires Plus store on 1103 N. Washington Blvd (Highway 301) in Sarasota Florida. Please bear with me. There is a lesson here. After getting back to my car after visiting a friend at a rehabilitation facility, I noticed my left-rear tire was flat. Giving thanks for the small portable air pump I keep in all of my vehicles, I inflated the tire and checked it a few minutes later. Losing a pound of pressure each minute gave me little time to find a tire shop. I passed a couple of tire places with which I was not comfortable and, just in time, pulled into the Firestone-affiliated Tires Plus business. Jeff at the office counter and Terry from the auto bays were quick to offer assistance. They heard and felt the air escaping from my flattening Michelin, and said the tire appeared to be sliced which, as opposed to a round puncture, is not reparable. The limited-service spare tire in my SUV would be hard-pressed to take me to the nearest Florida outlet of the Discount Tire stores I patronize up North, where they are abundant. Pairing a new tire with an older one on the same axle is unwise, and I prefer the same brand of tire on all four wheels and all the same age. Therefore I decided on Tires Plus Bridgestone SUV tires--like Michelins, excellent tires. The cost, with full road-hazard coverage and lifetime free re-balancing and rotation, was just over $1,000.00 after a generous discount from Jeff. I signed on the line. Terry pulled my car into the bay. A few minutes later he found me to say that his analysis had been incorrect. The Michelin was repairable after all. Terry repaired my tire, re-balanced it, and remounted it. He test-drove my vehicle until the dashboard's low-tire-warning light went out. I paid the very reasonable bill, giving Jeff and Terry my profuse and sincere thanks. And I resolved to make an exception to my Internet avoidance. When I receive inferior service and, worse, find a business unworthy of my trust. I complain and pursue the matter on principle. That means when I receive superior service and proof of the integrity of a business and its people, I have an obligation to give thanks, to offer compliments, and to share the good news with others. This Tires Plus establishment and its people did unto me as they would have me do unto them. After more than two-thousand years, Christ's Golden Rule still applies. It remains a good lesson to me--and to all, I believe.... read more

I usually go here for minor work--oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacement, etc. Pricing has always been fair and wait times average, maybe a little slow, but nothing to get upset about. I always use their coupons to take advantage of deals when I go (you can find them on the TiresPlus website). I've never had major work done here, though, so I can't really assess them for that. The last time I went, Sam gave me a very accurate time estimate and was extremely courteous, and mechanic Hector went above and beyond to help reattach a part of my body kit. I got an oil change and a headlight replaced, and time I waited and cost for services were pretty much what I expected. I'd recommend the store for minor stuff if you aren't in a big hurry. read more

Brought my truck in at 10 am for tires after arranging with the store. Was told it would be ready by 12:30. I was dropped back there to wait for it at about 11 and the truck was sitting on the lift with the wheels off. No one was working on it. I waited for some time and still no progress. Other customers came in and were taken care of. Still no one finishing the work on my truck. At 2:00, 4 hours after dropping it off, I got my truck and went home. Needless to say that this customer, that has 5 trucks and has purchased tires from them before, will no longer be a customer. read more

Absolutely livid. Went for two tires for my car, kept pushing the card after over 8 times I said no. Dropped the car off at 11am was told I was the only person who had an appointment and would be an hour. I get a call an hour later trying to tell me I needed over 800$ in repairs, and pushing the card again. Nope just the two front tires. Get a call around 2:30 (unfortunately missed the call) voicemail sounded flustered "call us back immediately" I call back and I'm informed someone has hit my car that was now parked in the parking lot and done and waiting for me(even tho I never got a call saying it was done) and the police have been called and report is being made. Other Customer who had hit my car stayed for report and was there when I got there. Got everything handled with the police, come to pay for the tires... and they now have misplaced my keys. And are now searching for them for over 30 mins. I paid during them looking for the keys and then they come back up and say I haven't paid yet... when I start to get angry they now are going to refund me a whole 4.82$ for the inconvenience of them misplacing my keys. HAD THEY HAVE CALLED ME WHEN THE CAR WAS DONE I wouldn't have been hit. My 17 year old car that has less than 100,000 miles on it with no accidents and in great condition. I then call the lady that hit my car to follow up for insurance and she tells me "I'd really like to do it out of pocket since the guy who runs the tire shop Ron said it would be way cheaper" why is your mechanic/manager giving legal advice to the woman who just hit my car?! I've been to this place a couple times for an oil change and for the SECOND time now they have left the gasket loose which has resulted in oil all over my drive way. Now I have two oil stains in my drive way right next to each other and no oil in my car. Took the car back to get it fixed before the engine blew and they didn't offer an apology, didn't offer an explanation and when they tried to open the hood of the car, these morons opened the trunk and couldn't even be bothered to close the trunk back...talk about incompetence! And this is the second time they've done this. Will never be going here again. read more
