The mechanic told the so called service manager that my rotors were 3.5 mm and could not be machined and still meet minimum thickness so they needed to be replaced for $80. My rotors are 8 mm thick!! Made an appointment to get some tires mounted and an alignment several days in advance. The day before, Damon calls from tires plus to say they may or may not be able to get around to putting my tires on, because their schedule is filling up quickly. I figured this was the whole point of making an appointment. The appointment i had made was to drop the car all day, since i work across thw street. I got the feeling he just didnt want to do it. Then he quoted me almost double the price quoted online. He said he wwould mount the tires for $50/wheel! Went in the other day for an oil change, tire rotation, and brake checks. They ended up telling me that my rear rotors and pads should be replaced immediately (even though I didn't hear/feel anything weird with them prior), but I decided to go ahead and get those replaced for safety purposes. They also told me my front left Cv axle was damaged and leaking grease, and replacement would cost $650+. I decided to just go ahead and pay for the rotors and pads, as well as the oil change with tire rotation, and declined the CV axle replacement. A few days later I take my car to a dealership and they take a look at my cv axles free of charge, and physically show me that there is no leak or damage to any of the joints. They also showed me how my front tires are more worn than my rear ones, indicating that the mechanics at tiresplus either didn't do a tire rotation at all, or they did do a rotation even though my tire thread difference should've shown them that a rotation wasn't necessary. Looking back, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that my rotors didn't even need to be replaced in the first place. But that's my bad and should ask to look at them before deciding on replacing them. I have a long history with Tiresplus, but stuff like this makes me not trust any of these companies. I Will be doing a lot more repairs either myself or at the dealership from now on. read more

I scheduled to have a wheel alignment done on my car Sunday 4:00pm, today, on Saturday evening through the online portal. All of my information was given on my cars make and model as well as adequate contact information to reach me. The day of my scheduled service I was contacted at 8:56 am, while at work, by Joe. He let me know that the store would not be open at 4 even though the stores hours say open until 5 and I was able to select that time slot on the portal. Regardless of that he agrees to reschedule my appointment for 3:00pm instead. Upon arrival Joe informs me that there was no one there who could complete the service for me because he had sent them home, due to the fact that "no one was coming in". Despite the fact we had spoken on the phone previously to confirm. Joe then refused to make the situation right as well as trying to deflect responsibility for his actions by making rude comments/remarks about my vehicle and stating multiple reasons as to why the service wouldn't be able to be done on my car regardless. This is the worst customer service I have ever received and I used to work in the field myself so I am very versed in these interactions. I would never recommend this location to anyone and would never bring any of my vehicles here again. This is the only time I have ever been inclined to leave a review in my entire life of any kind, that should let you know how upsetting this interaction was. read more

I had taken my car several times to Tire Kingdom in Largo and was surprised they tried to rip me off on my last visit. My car is a Nissan Juke 2017 with only 26,350 miles. A man called my name said he need to speak to me and that I need all new brakes, lines, calipers, pads and I don't remember the rest and it would cost $700 plus the oil change. Oddly enough the other male customer there was also told he needed brakes. I turned it down, luckily. Out of concern I did take it to Pep Boys today, couldn't have been treated better as it turns out I only need brake pads on the rear brakes. He said the lines, caliper, etc were good. And he had a $40 off brake coupon he used, so instead of being ripped off for $700 I paid $204 for life time warranty on the pads. Manager Marvin Valladares, was driving a customer's car when my wife honked (beep, beep) as she felt he was coming to close to her car. He took "offense" to this. I drove my car to be serviced and had arrived earlier. I was checked in and was leaving when Mr. Valadares came aggressively in the store and told us he would not service our vehicle! Why? Because my wife honked at him! SERIOUSLY? He would not give his name and when pressed he threw a business card at me! Then raised his voice to my wife! YES I LOST IT! I WILL BE LETTING EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THIS INCIDENT! I hope it costs them more than just my business. read more

Had brakes done, and they had lifetime warranty replacement.....when they failed after 12 months and 2 weeks, after only putting on 12,500 miles, they told me that the labor for replacing the pads would exceed the cost of the original brake job. They also tried upselling me new rotors, which were perfectly fine. Decided to just take the car to another repair shop, and pay for the job to be done correctly......new repair told me my rotors were fine. This place is a ripoff....you may not feel that way initially, but when you have to return for warranty, fuggettabouttit. read more

No complaints on the work but it took my husband FOUR hours to get a set of tires, alignment and oil change - never should have been more than two and even less that that. He said the guys stayed on the cell phones and could not get any work done for text messaging. Management needs to discuss using cell phones in an emergency only during work hours. Had my front brakes replaced recently and paid a lot of money for that service which sucks but expected. What was not expected was the grease all over my floor matt in the shape of a boot and smears of grease on my floorboard. I complained to the manager and she insisted they would detail my interior when her detailer was in and she would contact me monday. That was generous on her part. I dropped my truck off early on Saturday afternoon and Taylor explained, apologetically, that they were too busy and it would most probably have to remain overnight. I was accepting of that and left my truck with them. At approximately 11 AM on Sunday morning Taylor called me to tell me that the vehicle needed rotors and bearings. He said it would be ready early in the afternoon. At 1 o'clock Sunday I called and he said "it'll be ready in 15 minutes you can come up now." I arrived 30 minutes later, Taylor had gone home and his replacement tells me that not only is it not done, but the part that they received was incorrect, and they needed to order another one. At 4 o'clock I get a phone call that they don't have the vehicle ready and it would be third day that they would need my truck. I could not be without my work truck for three consecutive days. They tied up my truck for two days and did not fix anything. They never adequately communicated with me the delay or the parts problem. Not only did they inconvenience me but I had to ask someone for a ride up to their shop who dropped me off only to have to be called back a second time to come get me when the truck was not ready. It is a shame because I have given them a lot of business over the past few years, bringing all of my family vehicles to them. I will never use them again in the future. Please, be aware of the cons that go on here... Please get ALL work in writing prior to have ANY service done. I cannot explain why I keep giving this place my business, well I do, because my cheap a$$ want my free tire rotation.... But that "is how they getcha"! My tires we due for rotation as well as being time for an oil change. I went in this morning and specifically asked for "A STANDARD oil change and tire rotation". I specifically asked because the last time I went in they up charged me for the synthetic without asking. I wasn't going to pay $90 for an oil change again. When I picked up my truck I noticed that the clerk was holding g back my receipt behind the CPU and asked me to slide my card. I asked what the total was and he quoted, "$89" and some change. I said ,"For a STANDARD oil change?" To which he replied, "No, your vehicle calls for synthetic". I scoffed and told him (and he was the same guy that took my vehicle this morning) that I specifically asked for STANDARD and that this is why I had been taking my truck to WalMart for oil changes. He went on to tell me that they were much bigger than Walmart and how Walmart has been "getting in a lot of trouble for that". He went on to tell me that he would charge me for the standard but that when I come in next time they will refuse to do a STANDARD oil change service for me. I told him he won't have the chance. This is the same company who tried to tell me my 6-month old tires needed replacing until I told them "great, they should still be under your warranty". (tires were put on in my wife's name).. All of a sudden, they were no longer under warranty because I missed my rotation mileage by 150 miles!!!! F this place! read more

i have written several favorable reviews for this place over the last few years and have consistently taken my vehicles to them. Not sure what happened this past Tuesday. They did not seem to be particularly busy at 9am. The techs were strolling around the garage and there was only one other person in the waiting area. I told them I would wait as I only wanted a basic oil change. Previous times it was a 30 minute wait, max, and around $30. I had a $10 off coupon that day. So...an hour and a half later, the girl tells me the tech is recommending a brake job. I did not ASK for a bumper to bumper check of my vehicle but I held my tongue and said, "not today." She wanted to know WHY. That's when I nearly lost it. I was tired, irritable and did not think I needed to explain myself. The look on my face must have been an appropriate answer. I was handed the keys 15 minutes later with a bill for $50 (!) I was stunned. This is WITH a coupon, mind you. Bottom line- that was my last visit. read more

My service advisor was Troy when I visited the Oldsmar Tires Plus last week. I explained that I was interested in the FREE brake inspection. He obliged. I left the car and later received a call with the estimate. I thanked him and declined his offer to perform any services that day. He said he would have my car ready in a few minutes. I arrived later to find my car still on the lift, I thought odd since he knew I wasnt getting work. I walked in the office and as soon as he saw me he (in front of all other customers) said ' Ma'am, those breaks are metal on metal and need to be taken care of. ' Perplexed as I already was informed of this and gave him my decision, I reminded him that I was here for the free inspection and not prepared to have the service today. He yelled out into the shop ' Put her tires back on, she doesnt have any money!' To say I was shocked and disappointed is an understatement.
