I went in today to have my AC looked at and a break check done. They have a June special of $9.99 AC check and free break inspections. When I dropped off my vehicle I told Travis at the front desk that the AC wasn't working and I needed to have the breaks looked at as well. I asked if he would call me before doing any work because I know the AC isn't working but I don't know why. He said yes they'd give me a call. It was almost an hour later and I still hadn't received a call, so I called them back to see what they found was wrong. I was told they had recharged the AC, we're doing a break inspection, and my bill would be $336.00! I was very upset because that is not what we discussed when I dropped my vehicle off and the work was not authorized beforehand. My total bill was $367.16! I was told by Travis that's the only way they can check what's wrong with an AC is to recharge it. I asked what the AC service check for $9.99 includes then?! Travis said, that service includes turning your AC on and feeling if it blows cold air or not." I will never go back to this place and am appalled that they advertise a special AC check for only $9.99 that really ends up being a charge of $367.16 for an AC recharge! read more

I have been going here for many years. That said, I am always cautious when dealing with them. If they recommend a repair, I usually go to one of my other trusted shops and ask their opinion. For example, many years ago I took my vehicle in for an oil change. They called me and said I needed an engine air filter. The day before I had changed it myself in my driveway. But they have many locations and I have benefited when I needed repairs when out of town. Also, I have their credit card and have used several promotions that offers. read more

The guy who answers the phone is very very rude and unprofessional. He has a high pitch voice and it seems as if they had not even started working on my car the next day I called. I had to call them and remind them what was wrong with my car again for them to tell me that it would be ready in an hour. he would talk over me and hanged up the phone whiles I was talking. would not recommend. read more

I've been coming here for oil changes ever since I moved to the area for college. I now live in South Fargo instead of Moorhead but I continue to come to the Moorhead location for service. The workers are very genuine and not interested in "tricking" you into spending more, always very up front about the services they will be performing and make sure you understand exactly what it is you're paying for before they do the work. No deception. And the oil changes are very quick! I'm always able to drive in without an appointment and they are always willing to get me in and out right away. read more

this store is the shittiest Tires Plus I have ever been to. They said on the phone if you come in in fifteen minutes we will have you in and out in half hour. We waited 45 minutes to get an oil change and we said something about it. They brought the car in and was done in ten minutes. If oil changes only take ten minutes, why the wait??? I brought my Jeep in for an oil change and they started snooping around my vehicle for problems. They came out and told me I had a lot of problems that needed to be resolved ASAP. Seems that every hose in my 2008 Commander was leaking. The quote was for over $2,000. Oh and how nice they could get it in immediately.I brought the vehicle to my mechanic and he told me straight out they were scamming me. There was one hose that needed attention but wasn't needed immediately. That hose was quoted at $250 from Tires PLus.. My mechanic replaced it for $140. Oh and did I say I'm a female. This establishment doesn't even deserve the one Star I gave it. Shame, SHame SHAME on you Tires Plus!!! read more

We recently stayed in Moorhead, MN right next to the Tires Plus store on Frontage Road. It was a cold night and we were unable to get our truck started because it wasn't cranking fast enough. Don F. helped us out greatly by letting us borrow a battery booster to help us on our way. He was way more helpful and understanding than the tow truck driver from Ed's Towing which basically said "good luck". Thanks for helping us get home Don!!! read more

I sent my 18 year old college daughter to Tires Plus Moorhead because she had a tire we had been watching for at least a month that kept losing air slowly. I told her the repair would be $25, and do not let them talk you into anything else but that. When she called later, they said she had a nail in the tire and replaced it with a NEW tire charging her $85. They also wanted to do some "suspension work" which would run about $800 they said. Thankfully, she declined on that. The tire they "replaced" was a new tire, maybe 6months old, on warranty. I am so mad I sent her to this SNAKE PIT. WHAT A BUNCH OF CROOKS, and I am far from done with this yet. NEVER in my life of owning many cars and similar tire situations have I ever had to buy a new tire because of "a nail" in it. I JUST CANT BELIEVE WHAT SNAKES THEY ARE. Think twice before going there...after the fact I have read plenty of bad reviews. read more
