Low and behold, one of my rear tires was quite flat. We stopped at Kroll's diner and one of the waitress's suggest we go next door to Tuffy. Since it was a Saturday and there was just Tobey and Michael in the shop, Tobey came from behind the desk to take the car and put on the hoist to look for the leak. Unfortunately, it was not obvious and the tire needed to come off the vehicle. They eventually determined the leak was at the base on the valve stem and replaced. We were back on our way in a couple of hours. Tobey told me if I was not from out of town, given it was a Saturday and limited crew, he would have asked us to come back Monday. I can't express how grateful and appreciative I am of both of them, for not sending us away and addressing our untimely issue. These are good people!! I signed off on something that was supposed to cost like 300$, I leave for Minneapolis and check my invoice and it says 800$. i call them to see what it is and they just decided to do all of these unnecessary things to my car. they already knew what was wrong with it as I provided them the issue I wanted fixed so I told them not to do a diagnostic but they did it anyway, I asked for even just a refund on that and the guy gave me like 30$ off of it. and maybe your thinking maybe it was needed to fix the issue? my car is running the exact same as it was the day I brought it in with the same issue that I had the day I brought it in. I tried calling leaving voicemails asking for some kind of refund or anything even 50% and they just proceed to ignore me. Ended up there was absolutely nothing wrong with my transmission after all. Kirk just charged a minimal fee for their diagnosis. He could have very easily taken me for thousands of dollars doing all kinds of "repairs" on parts that had nothing wrong with them. I'm not going to go into all of the crooks at other shops in the auto repair field.
