Terrible Experience ? Avoid at All Costs! I had an absolutely awful experience with Tire Warehouse. While my car was in their care, another vehicle hit it, and they failed to inform me. I only found out after noticing the damage and questioning them, at which point they finally admitted responsibility. What followed was weeks of battling with their corporate office and insurance company, only for them to decide they wouldn?t cover the damage after all. The lack of honesty, accountability, and customer service is shocking. If you value your vehicle and your peace of mind, take your business elsewhere! read more

I was refused service for tires mounted and balanced and an alignment because I didn't purchase The tires from them. I was told they won't because it's there reliability policy. I had purchased a brand they didn't offer through Amazon. I have purchased multiple sets from them in The past years and will never use their services again. I have had this service completed from one of their competitors without anything mentioned about reliability policies. They have a New lifelong customer. I picked up a large nail in the sidewalk of one of my tires courtesy of the Maine Department of Transportation while heading to R.I. from Nova Scotia. It's a situation ripe with potential for getting taken advantage of by locals but to my good fortune I fund these guys. They did not have the right tire but got one the next day, I was there when it arrived and they stopped what they were doing and immediately got on my job and I was out of there and on my way. I had an outstanding experience at Tire Warehouse. The rental car I was driving on vacation had a tire that kept having a leak. We were a long way from home and I wasn't sure where to go. Feeling very stressed because we still had a long way to go back home. They were really busy and didn't know if they could fit us in but Ben made time very quickly. He found the nail in my tire, repaired it, told us to have a safe trip and sent us on our way. He charged nothing for his time either. Thank you so much Ben! Absolutely the worst service at a tire place I have ever experienced. Jason at the front desk was arrogant and extremely difficult to deal with. I requested two tires and tried to upsell me a third. He inspected my tires and said one of them had 3/32 wear so he refused to replace the two I actually needed even though one of them is bald with steel showing through. My boyfriend explained that was fine that he'd buy just two tires and change them himself. He refused to do even that. Jason said people weren't allowed to change their own tires even though in the bay next to us a driver was changing his own tires. No employee was wearing a mask. No hand sanitizer offered. No social distancing. In fact he got right up in my boyfriends face and began arguing with him. Worst experience ever. read more

Just had the best experience at Tire Warehouse! Our car tire was low on air because it had a nail in it. We realized when we were on the top of Cadillac mountain and frantically searched for a tire repair shop. With service being spotty we took a chance and just drove there. We were met by two smiling faces and were taken right in. Our tire was patched in no time!! The service couldn't have been better!!! read more

I have had poor service in the past but gave them another shot. My snow tires last winter had studs that were screwed in sideways and just poor job for the money. They didn't offer to correct it but they said they were short handed (which may be true) and I decided to cut them some slack. I went back to get my summer tires put back on and was given a high pressure sales pitch to buy new tires. I refused several times (as the tires were fine - not new but certainly had another season or two left in them) and the manager kept coming back with a new reason why I shouldn't put my summer tires back on and I should buy new tires from them. Finally they told me that I brought them the wrong size summer tires (different rim size - 17s instead of 16s - and probably got them mixed up with my other vehicle's tires at home) and so they couldn't put the summer tires on becuase they were the wrong size. I checked to make sure I got the 16s before I left home but thought maybe I made a mistake. Taking their word for it and not wanting to spend another several hours going home and figuring it out etc I caved and bought the new tires. They said they were $900 for the tires which included a bunch of stuff I was never consulted on and never would have agreed to including road hazard coverage. I didn't know I was charged for this until after I paid and got my receipt. They also said a couple of my old summer tires could be saved for spares if I wanted to so I said yes put them in the trunk. I got home and saw that the tires they put in my trunk were the correct sized 16 inch tires for my car and not the 17s they said I mistakenly brought in. I went and checked my other set of summer tires (17s) for my other vehicle and found all four 17 inch tires were there and I didn't get any mixed up. Bottom line - I feel like they lied to me and I was swindled into spending $900 on new tires. I feel that the manager and possibly others were dishonest and I called and canceled my appointment to swap over my other car's tires. I called and asked for my money back but they refused saying maybe they could give me a discount on my next set of tires. Sorry, that is the last set I will buy from them. Manager's name was Nick. Terrible experience dealing with this very terrible company. They roped me in by having cheaper tire prices than their competitors... with the exception of maybe one guy there, most are younger dudes who are incompetent. I went in for all 4 new tires. Told them to replace are broken suspension parts in the front. They couldn't get my tie rod off (key component for alignments) and sent me home with new tires on that hadn't been aligned.. so in short a job that wasn't finished yet, all because other people were schedule. Came back a week later and they were over an hour late getting my car in the shop. With an appointment scheduled mind you.. they tell me for over an hour they still can't get my tie rod off, then all the sudden it loosens for them to make the adjustment. Fast forward two months and my front tires were completely worn on both sides right down to the thread.. went back, complained and they were decent enough to charge another 750$ for two new tires and an alignment!!!! Nice guys.. fast forward again another 2-3 months and I'm in the same boat with tires that are completely toast and ruined. After I told them from the get go to replace all broken front suspensions parts to achieve a proper alignment so I don't destroy my tires... I've spent over 2 grand there within a year and still have tires ready to blow. Matt, the manager was decent at first until I started to question their faulty job and then his customer service was absolutely terrible, telling me there's nothing they can do.. DO NOT shop here people. This is the first review I've ever made for anything in my libecause I feel that cheated out of my money and services. I'm a 25 y.o man struggling and 2 grand to waste away is unacceptable. Don't let the same thing happen to you!! Maybe it's only the Ellsworth location, but I will never be giving them another cent of my money. read more

I would never do business with this company again. My experience was in Ellsworth Maine but after talking to their corporate headquarters, I found that this is how they do business everywhere they are. Here's what happened. We took them the part number for RV windshield wipers. The ones they gave us wouldn't fit. We took them back. We were told that they do not give receipts for your refund. They will mail it to your address within 6 weeks. I have NEVER heard of a reputable business that can charge your credit card in 5 minutes but cannot give you a receipt to prove they have credited you for a return. We had to call their corporate headquarters where we were told that all Tire Warehouse outlets operate this way. Sadly for us the second pair of wipers they assured us were right, were also wrong and we had to go through this all over again. We then went to Napa down the street and in 5 minutes had the right blades. No hassle. I'd beware of buying tires there. Shoddy business if you ask me. read more
