I've bought tires at other Tire Warehouse locations in the past and been satisfied so I made an appointment to get new tires for my wife's car. The staff interaction was weird. They didn't say hello and barely spoke to me at all, but whatever, I don't go to Tire Warehouse to socialize or chat. Got the new tires but later that day the tire pressure light came on so I checked the tires. Pressure is supposed to be 33 psi. The four were 39, 35, 30, and 21. So none were right. I can only guess they inflated until the bead set and then never adjusted to correct pressure. Happy with the tires and price, but not the service. read more

Needed new tire in a hurry! I went to Vermont for a wedding and the next day I discovered I had a flat tire- After AAA swapped out the flat for the donut tire, I made an appointment with Tire Warehouse for the following day which was a Sunday. They gave me a price over the phone and reassured me that they had my kind of tire in stock. They did exactly as promised for the cost that was quoted to me. My brother recently brought his vehicle in to get tires mounted and balanced and had a horrible experience. The mechanic who pulled his vehicle into the shop had no care for the fact that it was a manual, if you don't know how to drive manual, say that or maybe don't work as a mechanic. A big note is that this vehicle came in completely fine, had just gotten brakes worked on a couple weeks before so we knew the hubcaps were fine and the lug nuts were fine. Once he had started with the mounting and balancing you could just tell he was rushing around and had no care in the world for what he was doing and doing it right. The first issue happened when he had already put all the tires on and came to us to tell us they didn't fit after saying they would check all the specs before they went on the vehicle. Didn't seem to have done that. The second issue happened when they completely messed up the hubcaps with complete and utter carelessness. He had completely stripped them out after obviously forcing them in. You're supposed to screw them in with your hands first and he claimed he did so and they were hard going in so proceeded to force them in at an angle. After this he gave us multiple different stories as to what happened and tried to excuse his obvious carelessness instead of owning up. So honestly, not even sure what exactly he did to mess up the hubcaps to the extent he did. Then tried to have my brother pay for new hub caps which did not happen. From the start he was rude and didn't even try to help us out or find a solution that made everyone happy. The manager was eventually put on the phone and he wouldn't for one second even listen to a word anyone had to say, interrupting during every sentence that was said. Completely unprofessional. We ended up going through corporate get the situation figured out and got new hubcaps without having to pay but it was completely unprofessional and unpleasant the way everything was handled, the way we were treated and the way they were careless with the vehicle. I highly recommend not coming to this establishment and going elsewhere. I wouldn't trust them for a second with my vehicle. read more

Had a slow leak in my tire. I stopped by without an appointment. I was seen quickly, service was friendly and professional. They fixed the puncture for no charge and checked all my pressures. Drove all the way up from Florida for vacation stopped by the shop thinking I had a bad tire and possibly had to replace it! Thinking I was gonna have to come out of pocket some $$$ my cheeks clenched... all in all the tire shop I hit on the way up north literally didn't tighten the valve enough and that's all it was the manager could of gotten me for a pretty penny but no charge at all!!! He tightened it for free and sent me on my way it's always good to find good honest people out there because 9/10 you catch the shady ones GLAD I RAN INTO A STAND UP GUY LIKE YOUR SELF! Had my Girlfriend stop in to get an alignment(they provide a FREE check), they charged her for a FULL alignment and told her they couldnt finish the alignment because the tierods had rust on them and they didn't want to be liable if it broke coming off, that's understandable. Except for the fact that when she got home I did my own research and as per NISSAN the only adjustment they can do is on the tie rods and rear axle(rear didn't need anything done). So they charged her for a service they never even did. Never going back again even if it's for a free service, do NOT recommend going here especially if you're a female by yourself. Also, I went in for the free check on my truck(I do my own work) and they grumbled that I wasn't paying for an alignment and almost refused to put it on the machine. Caught a bolt through my rear passenger tire on our way out of town Sunday night. Spoke to Tim on monday morning, had the vehicle towed to him on Benmont Ave.and he took care of everything. Originally pitched me on new tires, then called me back to tell me that the tire could be repaired - no need to spend almost $800 for the new ones. So so SO appreciated the truth and honesty from Tim. These types of gestures is what brings me back and makes me a customer. The guys at Tire Warehouse are great! We have been dealing with a slow leak in the drivers rear tire for a couple weeks. The Ford dealer in town could not find the source of the leak but the guys at Tire Warehouse found the culprit screw in just a couple minutes! I've had excellent service the past few years, made an appointment and was in and out within a reasonable time. Not today. Had a 9:30 appt, it's noon, still sitting here, car hasn't been taken in, I've asked how long and was told that lots of people came in today. Wtf? I had an appointment!! Was told that the manager at this location refuses to accept appointments. However you can still book them online so again I ask.....wtf? The polite employees were overworked and I'm sure underpaid. I understand it is snowing in Vermont. But this is what you do.. Tires.. I've had excellent service the past , was told they no loner take appointments. Be here at 7:30 am and we will take care of it. Pulled in at 7:22, staff was there at 7:26.. My snow tires are already on rims, so this should be a pretty simple changeover. Also, informed them I had a screw in one of my tires and I marked the tire that held the screw.. Not here in Bennington. They came out at 8:30 (AN hour later) to inform me I had a screw it in... I am well aware since a put a witness mark on the tire around the screw.. I watched the nice man (don't know name) type it on the paperwork.. So obviously they are not looking at the paperwork. Waited.....Waited.. Once again I was the second person there.. Finally, 10:30 I get out of there.. For a simple tire changeover and a screw repair.. Finally off too work.. Get home and unload my other tires.. Look in the container with the lug nuts, they are the wrong ones.. NOT SAFE, the lug nuts barely threaded because they are the WRONG ones.. Now I have too take the WRONG LUG NUTS off and put the RIGHT ones on.. Why did I just waste 2 hours of my day and money. Should have done it myself.. Oh Right, I basically had too. Get's better.... SO since I had to go through this process of fixing there mistake, I might as well check the tire presser.. Should have been 30 in Front and 32 in the rear.. Nope.... Made an appt online and when I arrived after 40 min drive, was told they changed my appt to the next day. Said he e mailed me. I asked if he could have called but said he was too busy to call. Stopped in for tire rotation & possible leak in one tire I told them @ onset I had 1.5 hours to get this job done -I was ASSURED I would be out by then .. this never happened - they opened a up a bay after an hour 1hr 15 minutes of waiting asked for my lug nut lock - they said it wasn't working (only had the truck for 6 years & works every time).. needless to say I left.. went across town & done in 25 MINUTES with the same lug nut wheel lock they couldn't use.. for me the most disturbing thing was the lack of professionalism while I was waiting - random dogs just running around - staff having their meals in the waiting area (the manager) or behind the counter eating while interacting w/ customers - dogs eating dropped food off the floor. I told the manager I won't ever come back.. Note: the place is FILTHY.. I get it... it's not a doctors office but c'mon... floor, seats/ chairs, walls .. FILTHY.. someone their has to put down their footlong sub & grab a broom. It looked like the guys outside doing the actual work are fine but the rest needs help.. I've lived in VT for 15 years and have almost always used this shop. Granted, I've had long waits and inconsistent service, but lately my experiences have been so bad that I feel impelled to write a review. Two springs ago, I purchased four tires for the summer (I have studded snow tires for winter). The following winter when I had them put on the summer tires, I was told that one of the tires was a different size than the other three. They replaced it but did not offer any discount on my services. This year's experience takes the cake...I went in having made an online appt, but bc I did not receive an online confirmation, I had to reschedule for the following day. The technician was very short handed re staff, so I was pleasant enough and gave him my 20% off coupon. He then said (in front of my 6 y/o son and the other customers) that "If you are very, very nice to me, I will give you 100% discount." I assume that means what I think it means... read more

Called to have new tires installed on my daughters car, was told to "bring it in tomorrow, anytime." Showed up, was told, no appointment, come back on Monday. Did so, tires installed, but no alignment because of an overhead door problem. Had the alignment done elsewhere. Called a second time to have snow tires installed, told to "bring it in today anytime." Showed up, no appointment, can't do it today. Left in disgust. Will not go back EVER. read more

I've been a customer at the Bennington Tire Warehouse for at least 20 years, for service and sales, but the "new management" has sunk to an appalling level of unprofessionalism. I arrived at 8:30 and was told the wait to change over my tires, which were already on rims, would be 3.5 hours and I could drive off and they would call my cell when ready. After 3 hours, I went back and waited inside. The long suffering wait had to be in the same room with the smelly tires. It felt hard to breathe. The customer service counter was filthy and strewn with food bags, personal items and trash. One customer service representative answered the phone with his mouth full of food. The phone, which ran loudly in the waiting area, often went unanswered. Eventually I asked how much longer it would be and a few minutes later was told I could drive into a bay. Oddly, the list of who would be serviced next was in the tech shop, not at the customer service desk. It appeared I had been forgotten. I left at 1:15, a wait of 4.75 hours. My tires were carelessly tossed in the back of the car, partially obscuring the view through the rear window. Altogether, it was an unpleasant experience I will not repeat. read more

I was quoted over the phone for 2 tires including everything 203.19 for my wife's car. I forgot to mention she was going down to buy them. They tried to charge 288.00 for the same tires. She could not reach me, but they did lower the total price to 223.57. If you are a woman, stay clear of this rip off joint. read more

I tried making an appointment by phone, but they wouldn't answer their calls. I then went online, where they have a web page for making online appointments, so I scheduled an appointment and immediately got an email back with the details of the appointment. On the day in question, I tried to call to confirm that they were on schedule, but again they weren't answering their phone. I left work early, picked my son up from school early in order to make it to our appointment, drove 45 minutes to get there, only to be told that they weren't honoring appointments made online, even when I showed them the email I had received. I was told that there would be a 2 hour wait, but they couldn't take me because it would be closing time before they got to me. The man behind the desk was extremely rude, and when I told him I would go elsewhere, told me that everyone else in town was booking appointments weeks ahead. Just called a competitor and got an appointment in the next few days. I will NEVER use Tire Warehouse again! read more
