They just place the tire in water to ensure there are no leaks and put air in the tire. I went to jiffy lube the next day after purchasing the tire, to check the tread and it was a 2/32 meaning they sold me a bad tire. They are of Mexican decent and only 2 employees could speak English. The older lady who owns the establishment and handles all the money refused to give me my money back initially when I returned the following day. I had to remind her, that I told them if my tire tread was not a 6/32 or better, that I would return and request my money back. They said okay. I presume they didn't think I would actually just the tread checked. I would not recommend this place unless you are in a hurry and don't mind instantly replacing your tires and wasting your money.
