Getting my car serviced should've been easy and painless. I created an account with Tire Kingdom online and made an appointment for the following day at the Dunlawton Ave store in Port Orange. Imagine my surprise when arriving a few minutes early the counter person tells me I don't have an appointment. I mention surprise because my name and appointment time were obviously listed as the next customer on the large monitor on the wall. He proceeds to drill me about when I made this appointment and several times tells me I must have just made it this morning. So, I've already told you the reader of this review, and by now have told the employee several times; I did not make a same day appointment...but seriously, what difference does it make? I'm guessing there are people that find a time slot available to them same day and take the open appointment. If Tire Kingdom didn't want people making same day appointments it wouldn't be an option. So the evidence the employee has that I didn't make the appointment the previous day was yesterday morning he did not see this one listed. Wait...have we stepped back into the 1990s? Apparently this gentleman is very diligent about checking his email for booked appointments...wait for it...once a day! He informs me they will be servicing other cars before mine, people that called in yesterday on the phone and made appointments. His explanation is that I have tried to bump these poor souls that had the decency to pick up the phone. I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. He occasionally throws in that repetitive question again, practically demanding, when did I make this appointment? I really didn't want to stomach going back to the drawing board and making another plan so I accepted that this telephone jockey had won and I would stay in the waiting room for the hour and a half he said it would be before they got to me. I'm sure you can imagine it was pretty awkward when he came in there to get my signature on the paper so they could work on my car. He did manage to suggest again that next time just pick up the phone and call them when needing an appointment to avoid all this trouble. The icing on the cake was when I went to leave but realized they hadn't returned my tire lock kit so I needed to go back inside one last time. I'm hoping Tire Kingdom corporate sees this review so they will realize this whole internet thing is not catching on with the world and they can shut down their digital marketing platforms saving them tons of money. read more

Shannon and Matt did us a great favour today. They not only found the slow leak in one of our tires, but also "blacksmith" beat the metal rim back into shape (after a pothole encounter) and treated the rubber to the point of no more leakage. Wanted my tires mounted and installed on my car. I had a 1:00 appointment and left after 3:00 pm. Through my experience at other shops in the past, this is a 30 minute job. I only did 2 tires. There's no excuse for it to me over 2 hours long. When I asked the man at the front how long it would take (so I could gauge whether or not I should have a driver pick me up) his response was "it's so busy, we'll start on it right away." Which was 45 minutes after my appointment. I understand that you get busy, but try to have an estimate wait time. The front clerk was so worried about making sure customer is happy by booking many appointments that it seems that they may have overbooked themselves. Every person in the room that was waiting stated to each other how unhappy they were about the wait and situation. Nice people, bad service. read more

I bought four tires for my truck at Tire Kingdom in Port Orange, when ordered they were at the store the next day for installation. I took out the road hazard warranty at the time of purchase, what mistake! The other day I had a flat tire from a large piece of steel. My wife went to the store on Tuesday and they sated they were to busy to help her and come back on Wednesday at 1230, they wouldn't take the lose flat tire out to the bed of the truck. On Wednesday the tire was ordered and its now Friday and still no tire! I called the store today and they said since its a warranty tire, it has to come from a different warehouse and most likely wont be here until next Wednesday................. read more

I went in to get breaks and a tire. They had to order the tire so I wanted one day to get brakes done. Next day, they ordered wrong tire so we'll get in this weekend leave car over night and we get everything done at one time. The next day I called to see if car was done. The warehouse has covid-19. I asked about brakes and they are tracking down an electrical short. I asked what does the brakes have to do with electrical short? I had to plead with them to get my car brakesfixed. I got my brakes done finally and asked about my tire. They said Monday morning 9am it will be here. I called to ask Monday afternoon and no tire this time it's FedEx problem. I Had my car worked on there and I left a bag in the waiting room. I called up there and the manager said he put it on the counter and it would be there when I got there the next day. I didnt make it back till a week because of a storm and had no time. I called and went up there. they couldnt find it they said. So I came back up the next day and then next day and still nothing. They placed it on the counter where no customer can get it. Well it's gone. So that means an employee had to steal it. So be careful going here. These guys have always helped us every time. I use them at home and when traveling. They always go out of their way to help. This time we were traveling on a Saturday and they were booked all day. Gave me the option to wait a couple hours so they could squeeze us and then they called another shop near by and found us another place to get our tire fixed. Made an appointment for 4 Pirelli tried for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Arrived as scheduled and although I had an appointment it took 2 1/2 hours to install and balance 4 tires. Terribly slow. They tried to sell me an alignment put couldn't provide the printout of the test showing I needed one. Nor the printout showing any problem was fixed. I was feeling ripped off and didn't get the alignment. They gave me my car back saying it was done. Car wasn't put back together. Not driveable. Apparently there a switch the mechanic has to turn back into drive mode and they hadn't. Thought car was damaged. Asked them what the issue was and they acted like as the owner I was suppose to know about this secret switch and return the car to drive condition myself. Next time car service is needed, it will be anywhere but here. Not impressed. read more

I thought I wrote a review a few months ago, but can't find it now, so here goes. First of all, this location has been servicing my almost 20 year old corolla for over two years. They have performed maintenance and repairs with honesty and reliability. The guys at the front, especially Henry, who has been here as long as I've been coming, are super friendly and helpful. They go well above and beyond to make sure my vehicle is safe, but are never pushy and never suggest unnecessary projects. The attitude when you walk in is friendly, and relaxed. As a female, I appreciate that they never act condescending or patronizing. I have no reason to go anywhere else, and am always quick to let people know how happy I am with their service! read more

This location has the worst manager ever, Mark Lunsmann. He is arrogant, rude, and condescending to customers. Why Tire Kingdom employs him is beyond understanding. Do yourself a favor and use either a different location, or a different company altogether. The sidewall of my tire blew out (large hole) while I was driving on the interstate. I took it to Tire Kingdom in Port Orange where I had made the original purchase the previous year. Too lazy to walk out to my car to look at the tire in my trunk, Mark Lunsmann declared that I had hit something, which makes it a road hazard problem as opposed to defective tire. He said it could be prorated, but then his starting price exceeded the original tire price. After the discount, the price was still going to be above what it should have been. After reaching a stalemate, I asked for the area manager's phone number, which also happened to be a nearby TK store. Of course when I called right then, he was on another line (with guess who) so I was placed on hold. Mark Lunsmann was telling his side of the situation before I had a chance. Once I had a turn, the area manager apologized for Mark Lunsmann's behavior, we discussed tires, and I agreed to the prorated tire at a price quoted by the area manager. When I went to pay, the final price was still about ten dollars above what the area manager and I discussed. When I questioned it, Mark Lunsmann quickly became agitated, then raised his voice at me and scribbled a bunch of numbers on the paper. Upon concluding that he is totally incapable of doing simple math (or listening), I decided to pay and leave. When I got home I submitted a complaint to their corporate office. On Monday they contacted the area manager. He called me and asked if I had left dissatisfied, because he thought we had worked it out on the phone. I said that was correct. He asked about my final bill, confirmed that I was overcharged, and offered me a free oil change. Yeah, right. I'll be right over so I can wait an hour for a 10-minute operation. I purposefully waited a few days before I wrote my review of TIRE KINGDOM in order to accurately assess this shop and the guy who worked with me "BIG COUNTRY". The reason for the "cool down period" was because this was one of the most stressful times of my life and I had to separate emotion from reasoning when making my assessment. The truth is, after speaking with others who have gone through the same problems with their cars especially those that have gone to some other tire/car shops to get their cars worked on, I found that my experience was normal and even on the less stressful side of the coin because of this particular shop. One thing that separates this shop and their staff from others was the preparation they put in for all of the problems on my 2013 Cadillac Escalade "IF ANY" that came up at the end. They always had a plan B and kept me posted just in case we should go a different route. I must say, they had this thing in LOCKED from every angle. This could have been a much more stressful experience but they separated themselves from the rest right away. The service representative "Big Country" and manager Amber Stegall, they both had excellent customer service skills and practically called me every time there was another issue with my truck to update me and give me options and the things I needed to know about the work they were doing. They told me they would be available to answer any questions or address any concerns at ANY time and I tested those hours frequently just to make sure they were on the ball. These guys (Tire Kingdom Staff) never got impatient with me and babied me through the process, despite my lack of understanding most of the time. When I couldn't Big Country on the phone immediately, one of his staff members or even the service manager Amber always stepped up and fielded the call to assist me. The mechanics worked incessantly to make sure they met their deadline to get me back on the road and back to my doctors appointment. I wanted to review this shop honestly and fairly and not base my assessment on the level of stress during my vehicle out of commission time. The truth is, It is supposed to be stressful to an extent. Bottom line----If you want a car/tire shop that will go to war for you in order to help you get your vehicle back on the road and that knows how to treat you like an individual and not a prospective pay check, plus reasonable prices, this is the shop for you. Yes, I had read the prior reviews and had heard of personal experiences, WITH THE PREVIOUS MNGMT. Usually, as a single female, I take my car in, knowing I will get the "stupid girl sales pressure". I did NOT find that here. In fact, the NEW manager, Bart, was the "front line guy", dealing with several customers, simultaniously, professionally and courteously. The garage crew was impressive and very helpful. I sat , listened and watched, several customers, including females, all being served and leaving, and NONE were frustrated or dissatisfied. I was treated w/ respect, and my car was completed, quickly. Kudos, to the upper admin for re-grouping, and adding a great bunch, of guys. Now, I don't mind waiting for good auto maintenance but I do mind a bait-and-switch kind of service experience. Just tell me how long it'll actually take and I'll be fine. Most of all, I resent the sales guys' smug, condescending attitudes when I asked for an update on the time estimate after an hour of waiting.
