Let me start by saying this location has had my business for 20 years. I don't know what's changed but the place now has no sense of urgency or caring. So now if you have an appointment it means nothing. I had an appointment for today and was waiting for 25 minutes i asked how long this would take to get started, the response was I have no idea. After checking the response was probably another 1/2 hour but there was no promises in the mean time they let 2 other cars go in front of me. They didn't give any consideration to my time as they are the ones who set the appointment. I was also quoted an out the door price and that was not going to be honored as well. Several other people waiting seemed to be agitated as well. Glad they can lose $1700. Good luck in the future. read more

Tire Discounters lost my specialized lug nut and had me look through a bucket of 100 keys and we couldn't find it for it which tells me this happens all the time. They left 1 lug nut off to which I discovered while on vacation but It couldn't be fixed because I didn't have the special key! When I got my new tires the walls looked scuffed and they said it was because they set around the shop and it was normal. My tires only lasted 2 years and they wouldnt replace because I turned down the roadside assistance. I thought it meant if I had a problem on the road with my tires they would tow or fix the tire if something happened while on the road, and of course they did not explain this to me and now TD wont replace the tire. No matter I had the roadside or NOT my tires should last longer than 2 years! They used to have quality service and warranties but Not anymore, so beware! read more

We bought tires for my wife's car recently here because they had the best price. It wasn't long afterwards that one of the tires developed a slow leak and I took it in yesterday to have it looked at. They took off all 4 tires off the rims, cleaned the rims and reinstalled the tires. They did all this in about 1.5 hours. What did I pay for this? $0.00! Great tires at reasonable prices. This place is a joke! Paid for two new tires because one of my tires had a impact bulge in the side wall. They tell me later that I need to replace all four because the other two have cords showing (which I knew was not true). Came back into the shop and asked the front desk to let me see the tires. DAMAGED MY VEHICLE. The service was professional when I was providing my information and then walking to my vehicle to get the odometer reading, which neither I nor the employee noticed a rip in the wrap of my driver side door. Trust me, I would have noticed and also as a mgr, etc...you would make a note of it at that time so that you are not responsible. Also, I parked my vehicle in the largest parking spot there so that if a car would have dinged it, they would have had to park also in my parking spot, which I'm certain did not occur. A Tire discounters employee damaged my vehicle's wrap. After 3 weeks of calling and getting the same response, I finally was told they have the footage and I would just have to trust them that the damage was done prior to me dropping the vehicle off. Which is not true. They would not provide the proof neither. Their company policy does not allow for them to release the video. I'll never go back their again not will I recommend them. Over the past month, I've had several people ask me what happened to my vehicle which I have/will unfortunately tell them that the damage happened while in the care of tire discounters and that they should take their vehicles elsewhere and will continue to tell everyone about this. They have at least two videos at the front of their entrance that shows the vehicles parking and would have shown the driver's side of vehicle not damaged while parking my vehicle. Those videos would also show if another vehicle did damage it. The fact they will not provide the proof of my vehicle being damaged there is unfortunate and very unprofessional on their part. Again, I recommend you taking your vehicle to grismer which is a block away or anywhere else. read more

My tire was starting to shred. This could easily have been tragic and stressful, but Tire Discounters turned it into a very positive experience. They got my car in, no appointment needed and were able to put four new, balanced and aligned tires on, plus do a very necessary oil change while we waited. They have a comfortable seating area with a tv and refreshments while you wait for your vehicle, or you can drop it off and come pick it up at your convenience later in the day. While we were waiting, one of the workers came out, put on a fresh pot of coffee and was so friendly. They were very busy yesterday, phone calls and people coming in constantly, but you'd never be able to tell with their fast, friendly service. I would highly recommend Tire Discounters! I took my Malibu in after my service esc light came on along with a power steering warning. I was able to get a safety check same day AND my car completely repaired same day! Wayne was great! He called me immediately with a quote and did a fantastic job of explaining exactly what needed to be repaired and why. Although it was a rather expensive repair- the service I received was well worth it! This was the 3rd time that they have went above and beyond anything I've seen in other auto repair shops! My low tire light came on and I stopped by just as the store was closing. I asked if they had an air hose that I use, I was directed to pull up in front and Kevin would take care of that for me. As He was filling up the tire the valve stem broke off and the tire went flat!. He directed me to pull inside where he removed the tire, Dismounted it and installed a temporary rubber valve until a new TPMS unit could be installed later. Brad checked all the other tires and they sent me on my way. It was in the middle of a pretty good snow storm when this occurred and our trip went on smoothly. I used to come here all the time for tire needs. With the mileage I put in 3 vehicles, I was often here once or twice a month for tire rotations, oil changes, alignments and tires. Usually great service. Maybe today is an off day, but 120 minutes for an oil change and tire rotation seems a bit extreme. I've seen multiple people for flat tire repairs come and go and only two people are waiting in the lobby. I would caution you to think about how long simple tasks may take them to complete. read more

In at 820 AM on a Monday without an appointment. Requesting oil change, free rotation and diagnosis of shuttering brakes that were serviced here 6 months ago. Told several customers ahead of me and looking at 1 - 1.5 hr. wait. A little less than an hour later diagnosis is that rear rotors are wearing prematurely but under warranty- no charge replacement but not in stock - at least an hour added wait for parts. Adding another $330 for total front brake service. Exhausting but complete. read more

What I like about them is they have good tires at good prices. What I really like is they don't try to sell me only the highest priced tires, compared to what I need and can afford. That said, they have been my favorite place to go to get tires on the car. I never have needed an appointment, and most of the time the jobs done in less then 30 minutes. read more

Was not friendly, and tried his best for me to take my business elsewhere. It was a simple job too. Just balance a set of tires I had on my rims already, and do an alignment. He was a sarcastic, non friendly person the whole time. When I go back today to pick up my car I will get his name. I'm sure he had other jobs that he could make more money on today, but I need my car fixed too. read more

Bought four tires for a 2008 Ford Taurus which I subsequently sold to my neighbor about 2 months later. 6 months after she bought the car she took it to a local shop to fix a rattle that developed. The local shop pointed out to her they could not complete the alignment due to the vehicle having two different sizes of tires on it. When she brought this to the attention of Tire Discounters the manager of the Troy location stated that I should have checked to make sure the tires were correct before leaving. I told her to take them to court as I would back anything she needs. While this plays out, I thought it best to just go ahead and and just start writing reviews of how bad they are and how monkeys could be trained to do a better job than their shade tree wanna be. Pretty sure they all failed the ASE certifications and that's why they chose to work for a sub par company. If you like cheap products backed by no guarantee and wish to support such a company like this one who would turn their back on a mother of twin autistic children then by all means choose tire discounters. If you would like to support a company that endangers it's customers lives by not double checking their work...then this is the company for you to support. My mentally handicapped sister knows more about right and wrong than any member under the employ of Tire Discounters. If you would rather support a company that prides itself on their work ethic and standards of the industry, choose just about any other tire center than Tire Discounters. Poor work done by poorly trained employees, managed by individuals who's training probably came from changing the tires on hot wheels and couldn't figure out why they didn't roll the same after...Sounds just about as perfect as I can describe this company. read more

I was recently shopping for new tires for my truck. I knew that I wanted a certain Michelin set of tires, so I called to schedule an appointment. I advised the tech on the phone what I was looking for. He immediately said they didn't have them in stock and tried to sell me their junk off brands. I again said that I wanted the tires I asked for and could they order them. After some hem-hawing he said they could and gave me a price. The price was around $30 more per tire than the quote I received off of their website. Some more finagling and he was back to trying to sell me the other brands. After having enough, I advised him that I would go someplace that wanted to sell me the tires I wanted. I went ot Discount Tire and had them on my truck the next day. This was not the first issue with the Troy Tire Discounter store, and most certainly will NEVER go back again. read more

Originally went in for a small tire repair (courtesy of the construction across the street). When I went to pickup my car - it wouldn't start (courtesy of Ohio weather and an older battery). Kevin noticed us struggling to get the car started and went out of his way to come out to help me jump start the car. No small task considering they were swamped and it was nearing closing time.
