I'm 70 years old and this might be the best shop I have ever encountered. Always very professional…read moreservice and they will NEVER try and hook you for unneeded repairs. I've been in El Paso for three years now, and I will NOT take my 2001 Chevy Silverado or my 2010 Chevy HHR ANYWHERE else (other than just an oil change). My latest experience was on 5/1/25. I tried to replace the power window motor on my Silverado by myself. Big mistake. Once I got the door apart I realized that it was a MUCH more complex job than I expected. I talked to Rick on the phone and he said, "we'll use your part and complete it for you." They did, and I was shocked when I got the bill: $95!! I was expecting at least $300 labor to complete this job. IF YOU WANT HONEST AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE, don't look further. Jay's Automotive on Alameda in El Paso will treat you right.

He communicates clearly about how you can get different types of service most efficiently and lets you decide if that works for you. If you appreciate the steady and honest approach, I think you'll enjoy the service you receive. I am 100% satisfied with the price I have paid for all services rendered. Also, I get my oil changes and routine items done here - it's a little less on-demand, but if I come in first thing in the morning, it's usually pretty quick. I prefer the greater consistency here versus the high staff turnover at chain oil changes.

Sergio saved our trip!…read more We will never forget the outstanding service he provided during one of the most stressful and uncertain moments we've ever experienced. Our car broke down on I-10 while crossing El Paso during our move from Los Angeles to San Antonio. We had our entire lives packed into that car and suddenly found ourselves stranded on the side of the freeway, not knowing what to do next. I am so grateful that the AAA tow truck brought us to this shop. Despite being extremely busy and having a full lot of vehicles waiting for service, Sergio took us in right away. Not only did he diagnose the problem quickly, but he also took the time to hand-draw a map showing where we were and where we could find lodging for the night. That small gesture meant so much to us in that moment. Thankfully, the issue turned out to be the alternator. Sergio got to work immediately, kept us informed throughout the process, and treated us with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. What impressed us most was not only his expertise, but also his commitment to his customers, his honesty, and the confidence he inspires. His workmanship is backed by a two-year warranty, and after our experience, I can honestly say the service was worth every penny. By 4:00 PM the next day, we were back on the road and able to continue our journey to San Antonio. Sergio gave us something we desperately needed during a very difficult time: peace of mind. We are deeply grateful and will never forget his help. I recommend this shop without hesitation.

Worse yet the problem started moving toward the center of the car and other controls stopped working. I called and made an appointment at Alameda Auto electric. The best part was they LISTENED to every word I said. The technician "Maraio" listened and analyzed the problem. Mario worked on the problem and on the same day fixed all that was wrong.. The total bill ended up being $1300. No problem, this was my baby girl's first car so I said do it all. Got the car back and the new battery was dead by morning. Turns out this car had a module that will randomly turn on electrical stuff when it goes bad and it kills the battery. Took a month to get the old module rebuilt and cost $2000. But the worst part is that things that worked before now NO LONGER WORK such as the AC on/off switch. Also the back windows no longer roll down. Items that worked before bringing the car there. When I called to inquire about it, the response was "We can take a look at it". Not: 'I'm sorry that you're having issues since we've worked on your car, let me take care of that for you'. They wanted me to spend more money to get shit fixed that wasn't an issue before I brought them the car in the first place. I had already spent well over $3k getting this car "fixed" and now more stuff is broken on it, NAH, I'm not spending anymore money at this scam mechanic so that the can bleed me dry. Enough is enough. If you can, avoid this place at all costs because they will "fix" one thing and then you'll end up needing them to "fix" something else that wasn't a problem until you brought it to them. I expected I higher level of customer service after spending so much money. I was wrong. They're nothing but a bunch of SCAM ARTISTS!
