My husband brought my Tahoe in to get a brake diagnosis. I had one squeaky brake. He spent three hours waiting for the diagnosis to happen. Just for them to say I needed all new brake pads and rotors on a 2023 Tahoe with 50,000 miles. Totaling $2100. We felt this was a little steep, so we took it to another close by shop where they diagnosed the vehicle as not needing rotors or brake pads. There was just a little bit of dust. They chipped the paint on my fender flare and left greasy hand marks on my driver door, inside on door panels and steering wheel. Large smudge marks on all four aluminum wheels after tire replacement. I should've known better, in 2018 this place charged me for new valve stems during a tandem axle trailer tire replacement. Buyer beware! They over charged for things they don't actually do! Had a flat and I was told the repair would be $45 dollars. I had already removed the tire so seemed expensive but the guys said it was a patch not a plug. Well when I got the actual print out I was charged for a new TPMS stem and tire balance I never got! The next morning the tire was flat again! Took it back and I was told by the store manager that even though I was over charged for items I never received we should call it a wash because they had to put another patch in my tire to stop the leak and who knows if I could of ran over another nail on the way to their shop! STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY! There are good garages around here, Tire Choice is not one. On 21 July 2024, I requested a routine oil change with tire rotation on my car through Tire Choice #1378. When requesting the oil change I specifically mentioned tire rotation and reminded the assistant manager, Dylan Fenton, that they did not/not rotate my tires on two previous occasions. Invoice states front and rear tire pressure at 35 and wheels torqued to 100. Before providing car to shop, I marked the passenger side tires with a grease pencil to identify whether the tires were in fact rotated. Merely because two other times tires were not/not rotated. When confronted the asst. manager stated they were supposed to be rotated. Moreover, the invoice was in fact forged as it states the tire pressure at 35 and wheels torqued to 100. Not only was the invoice incorrect (actual wheel pressure was 30 psi), but the shop also stated on the invoice that the rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. Although the tires were not removed (and hence properly inspected), the asst. manager stated the brakes and rotors were bad, not salvageable, and needed to be completely replaced and quoted $500 for that repair. Upon arrival at home, I opened the hood and the engine coolant cap was removed and resting in the windshield wiper tray. It was removed and not replaced by the shop mechanic. The engine coolant was actually low and therefore another service supposedly provided was not/not performed. You can't trust work is being performed. I'm done with Tire Choice. read more

Preys on seniors! Family vehicle was brought in, on their "professional advice" that motor mounts needed to be replaced. Shortly after the service was completed, the tension pulley for the serpentine belt broke at a gas station, so it was towed back to their shop. Battery replaced and needed a new alternator and tension pulley replacement. Work was done - or so we thought! Before it could even be picked up, suddenly an entirely new engine was recommended. We immediately removed the vehicle from their facility once we consulted with a trusted repair shop. Turned out, the bolts to the motor mounts were jammed up against the alternator which prevented the motor from cranking due to unnecessary tension and cramping of parts. The engineered bolts were grossly, incorrectly installed. The long and short motor mount bolt were reversed - not leaving the correct engineered distance between the alternator and motor mounts. In the end, it was repaired correctly at a significantly additional and unnecessary expense at a reputable shop. Be aware and stay vigilant before spending your money. read more

Fernando and all of the staff took care of making sure I had my car back and called in the claim for my tire and wheel protection. Dropped my car off yesterday around 2:00 for a diagnosis of my check engine light being on. Worked with Scott who was extremely courteous and helpful. I never heard back from the shop at all yesterday and finally decided to give them a call to see what is up with my car, since they've had it overnight. The first time I called I was placed on hold for 10 minutes before hanging up and calling back. I had the distinct displeasure of getting a gentleman named Kyle on the phone. This man provided the most awful experience I have EVER had! He told me my car won't be ready today. When I asked what was going on with it, he seemed surprised that I would want to know and annoyed that he would have to go look at the paperwork. He proceeded to tell me that the technician who worked on my car yesterday is not in today and therefore my car will not be worked on today at all. When I questioned this, he said "I see you dropped it off at about 2:00 yesterday evening" uh, since when is 2:00 evening? Making it seem like it was my fault for bringing the car in so late in the day (they don't close until 7pm). When I mentioned that 2:00 is actually afternoon, he told me I was nitpicking technicalities. He was EXTREMELY rude. When I pointed this out to him he said "When I explain something to someone in layman's terms and they are too stupid to understand, I get frustrated. Anyone would." I let him know he was awful and rude and providing terrible service at which point he told me he's been working there for several years and his store is always #1 or some crap, as if that is even relevant. I guess Kyle thinks its no big deal to have someone's car for 3-4 days with no explanation and to leave the car sitting in the shop for 24+ hours with no one working on it. Newsflash: I need my car. At this point its been there for 24 hours and they haven't even begun to address the engine light issue. It would have been fine, if I had spoken to someone with at least common courtesy. This guy Kyle is a giant jerk! Worst experience ever, I am looking to find another shop to take my car to that will actually FIX it. read more

Extremely annoyed. I had called earlier in the week and scheduled a 10am appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. Was a little surprised when I was told it would be 2.5 hours despite having the appointment. So no problem, I took the time and walked to my gym for a workout that I was going to do afterwards. I returned in an Uber over 3 hours later and my car hadn't been touched yet. Get told I should be next and it will be done in 45 mins to an hour, so I walk to get lunch and browse a couple stores nearby wasting time. I return an hour and a half later to see if my vehicle is done. Nope, still just sitting there. Also got no explanation or "I'm sorry for your wait or our poor service". So glad I wasted 5 hours on my only day off this week for nothing. I'll give you a tip: IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE TIME, DO NOT SCHEDULE PEOPLE APPOINTMENTS...at the very least you could've been upfront that you were too busy so I didn't waste my entire day and had the option to decide to come back another day. Called ahead and they told me they had battery in stock for my vehicle and would get me in and out. I get Their and am patiently waiting and waiting, about an hour later I hear them say to one another I'm gonna do this and then go get that battery. I said excuse me, what battery are you talking about? They said for your truck. I said you told me on the phone it's in stock and you could get me in and out. Tire Choice is the same as a dealership. They do quality work for things you don't need. Bearings, Breaks, TIMING BELT. Scotty said my aged Mother needed a timing belt for 1k. "Because it is based on time not distance." I couldn't afford it at the time but Scotty said "you do what you gotta do, I hope yours doesn't snap" I consulted two other auto shops and they said 60,000 miles before you think about it. High pressure sales, add ons like transmission flush, bad news. Be wary when tire choice says "it will be needed to be addressed" that means 2 years from now. read more

BEWARE DO NOT USE TIRES CHOICE I used to take all of my vehicles to TIRES CHOICE up until they damaged my hood by closing it with tool or something underneath it..... When we picked up our vehicle we noticed the hood was not closing correctly I told Scott Cutting, the manager, who said he would put in claim but never did. Called corporate and they said they were not going to file a claim because the damage was done by US. While I was there waiting on my vehicle I saw a small framed female employee driving cars recklessly from the parking lot into the shop; she hit the building very hard with a customers car I'm sure they never brought it to customer's attention! One flat, but they took the time to check all four tires. They found a slow leak in one and 2 nails in another. They also found that one I had replaced at Olin Mott was replaced with the wrong tire! So... even though my one tire day turned on to a four tire replacement day.... at least they caught it all (not like other places) and I won't have a blow-out or be stranded, later. They are very nice and went the extra mile on the research to get the correct tires. They also matched coupon price for oil change and got that taken care of while I was there. read more

Have been a customer for 4 years at McGee Goodyear in Zephyrhills and experienced some of the best service and confidence in being fairly treated ever (Iam nearly 60...lots of cars...lots of repairs). Then a few months ago they were bought out by Tire Choice. Went there once after the buy out and was completely satisfied but then they closed the store! 2 weeks ago i went to a wesley chapel loction for an oil change, wiper blades and had them check my brakes...which were done 4 months earlier in Zephyrhills and acting up. Though they were under warranty they still charged me 172 to clean the connections and refush the lines...Felt i was over charged but let it go...big chain vs local shop...more expensive....ok. When my car broke down in Brandon again chose a Tire Choice location....Bell Shoals in Valrico...largely due to the many good reviews. Big mistake....they tried to charge me $181 for replacing a battery cable terminator...a $10 part and 15 mins labor. Luckily my bf was with me and when he questioned the excessive charge they immediately, without argument, reduced it to 107. I understand there are mark ups and they need to make money...get it...but this was such a blatant attempt at gouging the (female) customer...exemplified by the quick offer to reduce the charges.
