I brought in rear brake pads and rotors for my 2015 Chevy traverse. I did the fronts but almost broke two of my wrenches trying to get the caliper pins off the rear so I called them the next day and they hooked me up. The didn't overcharge me like others. They only charged for labor and it totaled 276.00 out the door. That's pads and rotors installed on the car.... Done-zo. They had it done within 2 hours and there were 4 cars ahead of me. When I let him know I had a Groupon, his whole attitude changed. He said, "You should've started with that," like I was an idiot, then crumpled the paper and threw it aside (not even in the trash). Had radiator and thermostat replace on vehicle. Next day, nearly got stranded crossing the Mojave desert because the radiator that Tire Choice replaced wouldn't hold pressure. We had the problem fixed in Needles and sent the bill off to the Mgr at the San Dimas shop that did the shoddy work, being they needed to reimburse for the work done because the parts are under warranty. This work was done in July of this year, it's now October and I have yet to hear back, much less receive payment regarding this. I got an alignment from them after I lifted my truck. They said they couldn't fix the caster since the suspension was messed up. I took it to a suspension shop and they said there's no issue and they could've fixed it. The new shop did another calculation and saw that my alignment was still messed up and my wheel was off kiltered even after taking it to tire choice. Tire choice charged me without fixing my caster and doing a lousy alignment And I still had to get an alignment from somewhere else. They told me they were busy and it was going to be 1 hr 30 mins to 2 hr wait due to me being a walk in (they promote that a appt is not needed, but it's understandable) but what kind of annoyed me was that it did not seem busy (other than my car, there was one other), but I can understand maybe they were short staffed. Brought it in for an oil change, car working normally. When it was "done" and I was leaving, the engine light was on and the car was idling rough to the point of almost stalling. Their response was "we only did an oil change, we didn't touch anything else." Made no effort to re-inspect their work and tried to gaslight me saying it sounded like that when I brought it in. Drove it home with the engine misfiring. Oil was leaking in my garage overnight. Took it to another place the next morning and had the oil change redone and now it works fine. Tire Choice had misaligned the oil cap and the drain plug. People make mistakes, but the difficult part is when they tried to convince me it was already malfunctioning and made no attempt to recheck their work. I could not possibly recommend this place. Where do I start... I brought my Jeep in for a simple oil change. They told me they would give me an inspection for free. I informed the lady at the desk, that I had recently picked up my Jeep from the dealership from having some major repairs done as well as an in-depth inspection of the vehicle. All repairs needed were already done at the dealership minus rotors. Dealership didn't do the rotors, because they are scheduled to be replaced when the brakes are. I did agree to let them do their inspection however. She informed me that it would be an hour to an hour and 20 minute wait, and sent me to a waiting area. The waiting area is terrible. Nothing to drink or eat, No vending machines, and a TV that wasn't on and seemingly no way to turn it on as there was no remotes etc. You're behind frosted glass so you can't even see your vehicle being worked on. An hour and a half later I get a list of recommended repairs. Repairs that a dealership already inspected and said were in good condition with no need of replacement...hmmm... Only one of the recommendations was the same as the dealership and that was the rotors. I refuse the extra repairs, and then waited another hour for my oil change to be completed. At that point I was in such a rush to get out of there, I didn't even realize they overcharged me from their original quote. Even though it's by $10, $10 is still $10. I will post a picture of the original paper they gave me when I gave them the vehicle and what they charged me after the vehicle was serviced. *Warning* This place scams people! This place used to be better! Never had a problem until last week. Brought a car here because of a flat tire. After the car being worked on, they said something was wrong with the car. Told me it was leaking, bad brakes and just dangerous to be driving on the road if I didn't want to get in an accident. We freaked out but thought it was weird for so many things to be wrong with the car, considering it's new. Decided to take the car to the dealership to get a second opinion (since it's still under warranty) and was told that my car was totally fine and would just need the breaks changed in a thousand miles. Had I not taken the car to get a second opinion, then this place would have ripped me off for who knows how much money. Sucks that you can't go to a tire place for a SIMPLE tire change without this trash business trying to scam people. This is the reason why it's so hard to trust any mechanic. Never coming back here again and will be telling friends and family to avoid this business as well. Today, I visited Tire Choice on Tyler St. in Riverside, CA earlier this afternoo. I met the Store Mgr, Jose Tapia. He is a nice youngman, polite and he engages the customers. After sleaking with Jose, I found out that we had something in common -- The military. He protects his customers like he protected our country....with his all. They gave me an estimate for over 2k, they said I needed all new tires even though I had bought my tires there not even a year ago. I just came in because the tire pressure light kept turning on. The staff that was working there on Wednesday 1/26/22 at noon completely ignored me. I tried to talk to him and ask if they were closed for lunch and still didn't acknowledge me. I brought my work truck here for a check up engine light on Monday only to get it back Thursday with a blinking engine light and now my traction control is on. I'm now here waiting when the shop was supposed to be open at 7:30, it's 4 min til 8 as I'm writing this. They also forgot to give me my card for the work truck and who knows if they're going to keep it again for another week. I called the customer service line on their website, that was no use. I got connected to someone where I explained and they just told me that they were gonna call the store. After I said I'm here waiting when they should be open based on their website. I took my car to get an oil change and a tire rotation they came back to me and said that the plug had stripped to my oil pan. And they said that they needed to replace the pan gasket.... $300 later.... come to find out by calling the dealership that all they have to do was rethread the plug. Less than $20.00 to do. It took them 6 hours to do this. And they were not busy at all. They took advantage of me because I'm a female. Never going back there again. read more
