On top of that - I can be very annoying with my anxiety, because as many know, car repairs cause immense financial stress, especially for a young adult like myself just coming into financial health. They will NEVER do a repair that doesn't need to me done, or upsell you without consent. This should be baseline, but I've experienced this so many other places, especially in Kirksville. The price of replacing my radiator had me feeling physically sick for days because I had no idea if it would total my car or not. They worked around the budget that I had said to find the most workable price for me, and then when my transmission shot in my car 2 weeks later, they found a way to connect a minor transmission repair to my radiator and gave it to me for free. Saving me, what could have been, 100-1k at other stores. Their customer service is off the charts, very knowledgeable and professional. I will continue to bring my car here for the coming years.

I took my car to another local repair shop I always went to and trusted, they were bought out…read morerecently. They quoted all kinds of things to fix, some I believed, some were outright lies! One lie was that the battery needed to be replaced and they would happily do that for $425, yeah, I bet you would! The problem was THEY had just replaced the battery 14 months earlier (much cheaper then) when the shop was under different ownership and it had a 4 or 5-year warranty! Immediately I was suspicious. They also said I needed a brake job, alignment, motor mounts, and a new power steering pump. The power steering pump was quoted at over $2000 total, the labor alone was quoted at about $1500! How many hours or days does this one job take to justify $1500? I am no expert, but it would seem they probably get around $150 per hour, but certainly not more than $175, so $1500 would mean 8- 10 hours! I looked up how long the job takes online for my car and found it can take about 3.5 hours, and an experienced mechanic can do it in just over an hour or two so not sure what that place is doing. After doing my own research I knew I had to go somewhere else. I knew the brakes and the power steering needed to be addressed so I called Plaza. I spoke to Justin who was extremely helpful and professional and made an appointment for the next day and dropped the car the evening before. I asked them to do the brakes and alignment after getting a quote. I also requested that, if at all possible, to have my car finished by 3 pm, they called at 2 pm and it was ready! They did the brakes and alignment for quite a bit less than the other shop quoted, checked my battery which it turns out is fine, and gave me a quote to fix the power steering that was a FULL $800 cheaper (parts and labor) than the other shop quoted and that is without the coupon online. I will be calling Plaza in a few months to do the power steering pump. I think I have found my new car repair shop!

They went as far as letting air out of my tires to stop the wobble/shake. Then they sent me to another store where they said my rim wasn't bent and they put it on the back passenger side where I wouldn't feel the wobble as bad! I talked to Keith; which was just like oh well you have to get a new rim at my cost out of my pocket for there mistakes! My rims were fine until they let air out of my tires to try and get over on me. The first 4 times when the management was looking at it they was fine! They even charged me for an alignment to bleed more money out of me! I would recommend anyone to stay away from these guys! I'm so upset I have to go through all this trouble just for a set of tires! The service by the attendant that check you in and listen to what the problem is with your car are very helpful and courteous. Whatever is wrong they explain exactly what they found and how they will fix it and then of course the price is always just right. This last time I thought I had an oil leak, they took the time to put me on their schedule, checked it out completely, explained what they did and the conclusion they came to, and in this case they found no leak at all. Ofallon Garage employed a professional credit/ debit fraudster who is still currently working there. They store the credit card information for months then will use it later, long after the time of a purchase made at Ofallon Garage so the unsuspecting victims wouldn't know where the charges came from. The owner is well aware of this is knowingly having the fraudster dealing with your sensitive data. I've heard of multiple people having fraudulent charges occur on their account. I just wanted to give a heads up to my community.
