If I could give zero stars, I would. We hired Tipton Landscaping for what should have been a straightforward project in 2023... He required 50% down upfront--which we paid--and then we put down even more money for a basketball court addition. Brandon never started the work. Not a single shovel in the ground. Then came the worst part: complete silence. Calls ignored. Messages unanswered. No accountability, no updates, nothing. After doing more digging, we discovered we are not alone. There are roughly 20+ families who have had the same experience--money taken, promises made, and then completely ghosted. This is not just poor business practice--it's deeply unethical. Be extremely cautious. Do not hand over money upfront, and honestly, I would strongly recommend avoiding Tipton Landscaping altogether. After being under contract for 17 months, on a project that was supposed to have lasted "2.5 weeks" to complete, we terminated our contract and Tipton Landscaping owed us $24,000 for work that was not finished or needed repair, and they fully agreed to that amount. They required we wait 6 weeks for a refund, as was their policy (which they don't have that written in any contract btw). When the 6 week waiting period was over they said they could not pay us back. We have found dozens of people in the Same boat. They are dissolving their business after they have spent over 500K owed to people, employees and other sub contractors/businesses. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We were told that our landscaping job would be started at the end of June or beginning of July 2023 - right after Tipton Landscaping finished their current project. They took our 50% down (about $48,000) and then never started the job (as of mid-August). They don't communicate well. We have made multiple attempts to reach them. Pretty much the same as all of the other 1 star reviews for Brandon and Michelle Tipton (Tipton Landscaping). Took our money and did some work, but began to have warranty issues with what they did and they wouldn't fix it. Claimed they were going bankrupt and sorry. It will cost us $17k to fix what they were paid to do and did wrong. They are not honest, as everyone has stated. Do substandard work and then take the money and run. The system allows contractors way too much leverage. They just close the business, claim bankruptcy and walk away with your money to start a new company and do it all over again. They should be personally liable for it all, and suffer the consequences of their mistakes, not be allowed to just walk away and keep all of their own assets while everyone else takes the loss. Worst company ever. They took our 50% down deposit and never returned. When we made the payment, Brandon Tipton told us that the deposit was 100% refundable. Now, after months of not showing up, we are pursuing legal means to force them to refund our money. read more

We met with Brandon in January of 2023. After hearing his ideas for our yard we decided to use him. We gave him half down (which was just shy of $30K) and he said we would have a yard by end of April/beginning of May. We kept texting and calling when the time got close to start and we were told the classic "two weeks" excuse. We were finally in communication with Brandon's wife and she said that we can get a refund and that it would take 4-6 weeks. I kept texting her because she wouldn't answer my phone calls and she said they were "working on it". At the end of the six weeks she ghosted us. Next thing we know they are filing for bankruptcy and the case is dismissed and Brandon walks away with our life savings. If anyone wants us to go in on a lawsuit I am happy to join!! 801-792-8868. I paid them $60k in March of 2022 to landscape our entire backyard which was basically a mud pit. Approx start date was May 2022. Nobody showed until end of Summer 2022. Snow came. After so many excuses they began in April 2023. It's now August 2023 18 months later and I still can't get them to finish over $10k of work they bid for on the landscaping. Tell you what you want to hear, talk a big game about ability to deliver, but no action! So freaking disappointing. Would NEVER recommend them to anyone. I believe my family is also another victim of Brandon Tipton and his landscape company. We gave him the 50 % down deposit of more than 13,000 on June 23rd, 2023 to get on his schedule for around September/October. Tried to contact him many times with out any response. We feel so sick to think we have been scammed. After reading previous post here, it seems we are among a long list of victims. Tipton Landscaping is an amazing company. They did such a great job on our landscaping, retaining walls and fence. Their price and services were very competitive and the project turned out better than we expected!! They were very professional and great to work with. Brandon and Salud are the best and were always updating us on the progress. They even took the time to meet with our neighbors to discuss our plans and address any questions they had. They went above and beyond with customer service! Their workers were also courteous and professional and so hard working. We had snow and mud accumulate during the time they were working and they did such a fabulous job cleaning our culdesac of all that and made it look better than it did before they started!! We can't say enough great things about Tipton Landscaping. Give them a call, you won't be disappointed! read more
