Not knowing anything about a gun I had many questions and Chasity was patient with me. Our class was small, only three of us which I liked. We learned safety, how to clean a gun, all the laws and how to shoot. We had to score a 70% or higher on the multiple choice test and shooting test. I couldn't believe that I scored a 88% on my shooting test and a 100% on my written test!! The shooting area and classroom are great and if you don't have your own gun you can rent theirs for $ 10.00. The class time was from 9:00 till 5:00 but we were finished by 2:00 which was great and plenty of time. Dyersburg has a great shooting facility that everyone interested should try. I highly recommend the class or dropping in to practice your aim.

Donald did a great job creating a friendly atmosphere and explaining everything we needed to know, without much boring filler. We were given breaks every 50 minutes to stretch our legs and a generous hour long lunch break. The Bartlett Range we had our course at, was very nice and even swept up our bullet casings for us. I genuinely can't think of anything I would changed or done different. As you can easily find out, Donald has been doing this a long time and has some of the most experience, being a veteran and long-term officer in Shelby County. So if you have any doubts, I would put those aside because It's much easier than you might think. Despite not needing one in Tennessee anymore, getting your permit put you in better position legally, if you ever had to use a firearm and it's a good place to start if you have never fired a weapon before. I purchased a firearm off guns.com when I called top gun and told them that fedx sent me a message…read moresaying my package was delivered they told me to wait till they call me. So when I made there was not going to wait because they would process my firearm I waited for a hour no one called finally I went up there the customer service was very poor. And no help at all. Number one the transfer fee was 75dollars. Then they charged. 10dollars for a background. Then charged 8dollars for a convenience Fee which came out to be 92.44. Then turn around and made me sign a waiver just to pick up my firearm. i own over 10 firearms but this is the only gun shop I had to sign a waiver. Not to mention this people act as if they don't want anything to do with black peoples. And treat you like it's all about the green money. I would never get another firearm transferred her nor do business with racist again. Just sad really sad. and they will let you see it. The average Gun store charges 30-50 for a transfer fee. They charge double the price and service is the wrost I every seen in my life
