Experience northern Wisconsin at its best. Fried smelt, perch, cheese curds and good beer.

We were attending Carp Fest at Two Rivers and wanted to start bar hopping. One of the other bars told us about Tippy's. It was a small neighborhood bar that was entirely decorated with Green Bay Packers. I loved the look of the place. In the back of the bar is a small 2 lane bowling alley. We had some brandy old fashions, but did not eat. I did notice that they had a sign on the bar that they served served smelt $4.50 ....wasn't hungry yet, darn it. If you like neighborhood bars, this one fits. Serving smelt 6 days a week. Open Tues.-Suns. 11 a.m. Sandwiches, pressure-cooked food, chicken. Dine in or carry out.

Great food, even better atmosphere! It is THE place to go for a packer game. The mini bowling in back is a lot of fun with a couple buddies.

So right out of the gate we're not doing well. Once the soup got here, they redeemed themselves. French onion soup was delicious. Lots of onions, perfect amount of cheese, croutons were seasoned well. Now I will say, the pretzel was ok. The honey horseradish sauce they served with it though? Outstanding. I'd eat that by the spoonful. Be careful though, it DOES pack a punch. I had the Corned beef on light rye and my wife had the tuna sandwich. My bread was nice and soft, well flavored. The corned beef was delicious as well, even though it's just a sandwich. Hers? She liked the tuna, but was skeptical about the bread. It was a bit more firm for her liking, but she DID ask for French bread. Didn't take away from the fact it was excellent. Potato salad that came with it? Meh. It's potato salad. Nothing snazzy about it. But it was still appetizing. Just wouldn't say it's out of the park. Overall, I'd like to try a few more things from the menu as they have a range of delicious items. Nice establishment, friendly people, and nice atmosphere.

Checked Yelp and read up a bit on Grizzly's; sounded interesting place…read more I was a bit confused with 2 Grizzly's but that was cleared up once we arrived. This is our type of bar/grill. We sat at the bar and quickly waited on by Darrel who is bartender and owner. There was a specials list for the weekend, New York strip; ribs and prime rib. The prices are a little high but what we seen the servings almost justified the price. We weren't quite as hungry to justify a steak or rib; thus we went with a side salad and chicken steak/w side salad. The salad was decent size and the chicken was covering over 1/2 the plate. My wife had just a salad. The chicken was tender and seasoned well. The sauce is a secret sauce of the bar! Drinks were good and priced well. While we were there I seen an order of ribs by a patron; they did look really good and by what I could tell he liked them but he couldn't eat them all. A patron sitting next to us ordered the prime rib; its smoked prime rib and flash finished over the grill that doesn't affect the finished doneness. It was huge at about 1" thick and done perfectly inside to the patrons delight. It's $40 but probably won't finish it all. Definitely when in the area will stop back.

The service was fantastic all night. And the food. You get what you pay for, truly. This is a nice spot and the food is drool worthy. It's plated so nicely, everything was cooked to perfection, and they did a great job of complimenting sides with entrees. The cheese curds were also unique and fantastic. We had the cheese curds for the appetizer and my husband had the pork tenderloin and I had the crusted chicken. All of our food was absolutely delicious- served hot, and perfectly seasoned. My husband commented that it tasted like a chef was in the kitchen. Think metropolitan, high-end restaurant quality food! Prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality. The ambience is charming yet fresh and modern. Very clean. I would suggest to dress resort casual or nicer for an evening meal. The service was attentive and welcoming. There is room for a large group. Outside seating is available, but I wouldn't recommend because it is near a busy traffic light which would detract from the experience. Don't hesitate to try the Courthouse Pub for a delicious, memorable meal.

SO MUCH FLAVOR. Then I switched to the San Fran noodles and wow. Same thing. The cook is really great at marrying sauces, toppings, and flavors. They have a talent because I don't think I ate anything I didn't like. Special shout out to their unique fried cheese because what was that? Amazing. Such a great meal. Service was good but I don't even care about that because the food was so fantastic. We were heading back to work so couldn't drink but their beer menu also looked amazing. This place is advertised as gastropub food, which is intended and designed to be quick food to make. My inclination is that they wanted us to wait there as long as possible to keep ordering more drinks. It took so long I thought the chef had quit mid shift. Food: underwhelming and average. Nothing you couldn't make at home with minimal effort. Tasted greasy. Even if it was good, I couldn't have appreciated it because the wait was SO long I was starving and dizzy from low blood sugar by the time it arrived. Unacceptable. Will not go back and would not recommend. I'd only recommend in the event you're practicing intermittent fasting or on an intense diet.
