Joe Rouer's Bar - Delicious Cheese Burgers, Dill Pickle slices and (top left) Ranch Dressing! Yum!

17 minutes and 8 seconds from order to food on table…read more Wife had the single cheeseburger with a side of stuffed spuds, and I had a double cheeseburger with grilled onions and onion petals. Burgers were a bit greasy, but that is the point. They were delicious. Onions grilled perfectly. Petals were crispy as any generic onion petals would be. Stuffed spuds? Not stuffed hardly. Those were a disappointment. Overall, nice environment, good bar food, and not too busy. Would come again if in the area.

Hungry and on your way to Door County?…read more Just North of Green Bay and unless you're (backroad smart) you are of course traveling NORTH on either Highway 57, 42 or County Trunk S to the Door Peninsula so why not treat yourself to some great local food and warm friendly people? Look no further than Joe Rouer's or just "Joe's Bar" in Duvall, Wisconsin. It's on your way to Door County and a visit to this local institution is simple and easy from any of the routes North. On Highway 57, pick up County Road "X" and you will be traveling East not more than a mile or so to Duvall. You will be greeted promptly with a smile as you enter and if you're lucky, the charming "Melanie" or "Heather" will serve you in two shakes of a lambs tail! I recommend the Cheeseburger, Dill Pickles, and White Cheddar Cheese curds although all of their offerings are delicious creations developed over time and of particular note is their Chili. It's tasty and amazing! On draft is a curated variety of beer and there's nothing like a cold Blue Moon draft with a generous slice of fresh orange. Top this off with any of their desert creations and you will be full - but not too full! Lastly, depending on where you're from you will be pleasantly surprised that they don't gouge you when it's time to settle up. I have always found it reasonable and inexpensive for a good quality lunch or dinner. I have been coming here since 1976 and think it's a great place to break up your Door County journey with some good food and localized vibe. Thanks Joe's... see you again soon! ***It's NOT illegal to drink and drive BUT please drink responsibly!

We've driven by here several times on the way to and from Door County, and finally stopped in!…read moreSituated on the corner of 2nd and Clark streets, the tasting room offers nice views through Legion Park to the marina and Lake Michigan beyond. There are several beers on tap as well as in cans, ciders, and soda. I'm not a beer drinker, so I tried a Cherry Von Stihl Cider from the nearby Von Stihl Winery/Cidery/Distillery. I may have found my new cider! Anywho, for a small town like Algoma, this place was hoppin', and it wasn't just locals! There is plenty of seating indoors at the bar or around it. There is a patio right outside, also with ample seating, The outdoors is dog friendly, but I don't know about the indoors (although a giant garage door opens to combine the two, so...) There is a small corner offering up various merch like hats, t-shirts, mugs, etc. 10/10 would recommend a stop for a quick drink if you're in the area or just passing by. Comfortable and welcoming atmosphere with very nice and quick-witted bartenders! 40/2025

The staff were friendly, efficient, jovial, popping out samples just by overhearing the decision struggle. Prices were a tad higher than WI competition BUT very reasonable still, especially for the touristy location. $20-$32 growlers, $7-$8 pints, $5.50-$6 12oz & $3-$3.25 5oz pours Some unique flavor options, tons of varieties and the walls are decorated with awards. I've got to dock a star for plastic cups... but I understand the reasoning

Three Eleven Bar & Bistro - Our famous lobster roll!

Three Eleven Bar & Bistro was my most favorite restaurant that I visited while in the Green Bay…read morearea. But before I mention the things I love about this place, I need to tell you that I had 311 songs in my head the whole time I was supping on my soup and forking my salad. And I don't even like 311! It must be because, whoa, amber is the color of Three Eleven's energy. I could tell, as soon as I entered Three Eleven, that is was my type of place. The lighting was muted, there were white tablecloths on the tables, as well as fresh flowers in small vases. I just respond to those types of things. Then I found out there's a great wine list, the menu is pared down, the food offered is well-thought-out, and the service is excellent. All this before I even had a bite or a drink. I visited for lunch, so I ordered the Roasted Beet Salad, which is mixed greens, beets, burrata cheese, roasted almonds and a citrus vinaigrette. You can get chicken or salmon with this salad, but I opted for neither: the burrata was enough, and frankly, that's the reason why I ordered the salad. (That, and the beets. I love beets.) The salad was cold and light and refreshing -- the type of salad that you can't stop eating because it's so satisfying. I also ordered a bowl of lobster bisque, which was thick and creamy, with big chunks of lobster. This, too, was so satisfying that I didn't want to stop eating it. It came with a piece of bread to sop up every last bit. My table also ordered a few things to share, including the frites (one order was plain, the other was truffle), calamari, and because we're in Wisconsin, we also got the cheese curds. I tried everything except the calamari (I am not a fan in general), and the plain fries were my favorite. Frites come with a sauce of your choosing. Three Eleven Bar & Bistro is located in downtown Algoma, next door to a bookstore and other cute shops. It's a nice place to stop in for lunch or dinner while you're in the Algoma area.
