This company was excellent. I needed two dead trees removed that were hitting telephone wires as well as branches cut from a third tree which they threw in for free. Every other company was charging ridiculous rates . They provided the best rates and the service was quick and done perfectly. They left me with firewood for the winter . I am a very satisfied customer and I will definitely be using their company again . read more

I had a huge 50 ft. Pine tree removed today I can now sleep without worry that that monster would fall on my house. I held my breath and prayed on windy and snow days. This company is the best. I would not hesitate to call them again. They had a crew of 4 very knowledgeable arborists . I highly recommended this company. It was not cheap but they were able to cut down this huge tree and leave the property clean. No damage. I'm a happy customer. read more

A few weeks ago, I called Tip Top because I knew that finally it was time to trim the trees. Once again, Chris came out to assess what needed to be done. As usual, he was so helpful and professional. The bid he provided was very comprehensive and fair. Today, Jose and his team arrived right on time and did a fantastic job trimming two large ash trees, trimming a myrtle tree, and removing three small palm trees. They were simply amazing -- so thorough and professional. And, when they left, the back and front yards were definitely cleaner. The trees are healthy and look great. Thank you so much! read more

We bought a new house that needed some old, dead, Eucalyptus trees cut in the back yard. Additionally, there is a huge tree in the front yard that needed trimming due to fire hazard and insurance coverage. Tip Top did an amazing job! They were friendly, answered questions, cleaned up beautifully, left us firewood, and went out of there way to clean up additional brush we had cleared out and were planning to take to the dump on our own. I'm just blown away and impressed; four men came out to perform the work- they did an incredible job. I just wish I had been there ( I was at work) to thank them in person. This is a company that knows how to make its customers happy. read more

These guys are the most legit arborists in the AV. All professional crew and the work is unparalleled. I got a quote to remove a huge sycamore looming over my driveway/house/street and they threw in the dead trunk that was right next to it for no extra cost! Very satisfied. read more

I got a quote awhile back. There said it was good for 6 months. That was perfect because I knew I didn't want to have the trees removed just yet. I called almost at the end of the 6 months, and got scheduled. They called a couple weeks later said a spot had opened up and asked if want them to come the next day. Yes! So they came, worked quickly and efficiently. And surprisingly quiet for all they did. Those trees made a huge mess but they cleaned up even better than it looked before! Highly recommend to everyone! Thank you so much! read more

Tip Top Arborists - 2 Trees removed level with ground and cleaned up completely! - Tree Services Near Me - Lancaster, California

These guys do great work, they aren't the lowest cost but you really get good service and a competent, well equipped team when you hire Tip Top to do a job. Alex, Danilo, Izzy and Julio were a pleasure to work with and did a wonderful job. Tip Top are based out of Lancaster but they have teams that work all over the local area. After the rains of 2019, we had a couple of our oak trees grow so much foliage that some of the larger branches started to fall off in the late summer. The biggest limb that broke was around 22" in diameter and hung up on its way down, making it pretty unsafe. We also had a tall 30-40' high ailanthus tree die over the winter and we were worried it might fall on the house after we noticed the entire trunk rocking near the ground in the recent high winds. We decided to wait until the later part of winter to have the trees trimmed and the broken boughs cleaned up and called Tip Tip for a quote. The reasons that we went with Tip Top was that (1) they have a proper boom truck with a man lift that can reach the tops of our largest trees which are probably 50-60' tall and (2) their team are qualified arborists working for a licensed contractor and (3) we have known the owner Jimmy for many years and we prefer to hire people we know and like. We were worried that we might lose one of the oak trees (which had dropped four large limbs in the past few months) however Tip Top were able to trim the tree so we can continue to enjoy it for a long time to come. Chris called me back and arranged an appointment for the next day to view the work that needed to be done. While looking at the largest oak tree he explained that whomever had been hired to trim the tree 20+ years ago hadn't done the job properly, only trimming the inside of the canopy, prompting the tree to grow lots of smaller branches, effectively weighing it down over time. He gave me a verbal quote on site and then followed up later that same day with an email version. I called up the office and gave a deposit so that the work could be scheduled. The earliest time was about three weeks out however a day or so after scheduling the work, they called me up in the afternoon and asked if they could come the next day since they had a crew available who had finished a job one day early. In the end, I called on Tuesday and the job was all wrapped up by Friday of the same week, so you can't beat that! So the next morning at 7:30am the team showed up. There were three trucks, one with a boom for topping and trimming the trees, another with a chipper for getting rid of everything and a third with saws and other equipment. I noticed that the motor that operated the hydraulic boom is powered by natural gas, so it was quieter and cleaner burning than a normal diesel engine. The team got straight to work, felling three tall ailanthus trees (or trees of heaven/ghetto palms) near our house that we were worried would die and fall on the house. While this was going on, Alex and Julio set to work climbing one of the oak trees and removing the dead branches and cleaning up the overgrown branches. After dealing with the three Ailanthus trees, Danilo and Izzy then moved on to the biggest project, trimming up our largest oak tree. This tree is very old with a 10' circumference trunk and a canopy that measured at least 60' across so we were very keen to save it after the large limbs had fallen off. While Danilo was trimming the branches and tidying up the tree, Izzy explained what they were doing and how the tree's vascular system carries water up and down the branches which determines where they make the cuts in the branches. He explained that Tip Top's team all attend school to become qualified arborists and that they go back regularly for continuing education. This was good to know since it is really important that you hire qualified people to trim mature oak trees. As the trimming work was being performed, the crew set aside some of the larger branches and limbs for us to use as firewood and also cut the larger limbs into manageable sizes for our log splitter. The trimming generated a lot of branches and these all went neatly through the wood chipper and into the truck. The chipper is pretty powerful and I was amazed to see it swallow up an 8' section of ailanthus tree trunk that was probably 10-12" in diameter. After about 8 hours, the job was finished and everything had been neatly raked up and thrown into the back of their wood chipper truck. The trees looked healthy again with no dead/dying branches draping down and even the neighbors have commented on how good of a job Tip Top did. read more

Tip Top was highly recommended by my neighbor who has used them for over 14 years. I called Chris to give me an estimate to remove 2 huge pepper trees in my yard. Chris set the appointment to come out the following week. He arrived on time and is very experienced and knowledgable. He gave me the price and we agreed to schedule removal. I received a call by the scheduler to remove the trees earlier than scheduled over a Saturday and a Monday. I had two different crews starting and completing the job. Everyone was neat, polite, professional, and consciensious. I could not be happier with their all around professionalism. Tip Top is my go to company from now on. read more

The crew arrived early to set up and were ready to begin at the appointment time. They trimmed my California Pepper Tree beautifully and cleared a few of the roots that were potential problems. My yard looked so much better when the finished. They cleaned up all trimmings and debris in the yard and around the chipper. Will definitely hire when necessary. Very Happy we hired Tip Top. read more

This is by far the best experience I have had with my trees and with the crew working on them. I had other tree trimming companies out for an estimate who didn't know the name or kind of tree I had on my property. Todd came out and when I asked what kind of tree is this? He knew right away a Modesto Ash. I thought it was a Siberian Elm. He told me be lucky you have an Ash and not an Elm tree. He gave me a prescription for my tree and other things that I can do to get the trees on the right track before the trimmers come out. The office was accommodating with scheduling and the trimmers were awesome! polite helpful, informative and very professional. My trees looked happy after they finished. Especially the Modesto Ash in the front yard. Thank you read more

What a positive experience. I contacted Tip Top Arborists via their website form and they contacted me same week. Actually, they were super apologetic it took so long, but if it was an emergency I would have called directly. In any case, what a professional, kind and courteous company. I explained in my form what symptoms my pear tree was having. After a brief phone conversation, he explained to me that it sounds like my fruitless pear caught Fire Blight. Its a manageable fungus, but untreatable. He explained what he recommended for helping manage it, and also provided a helpful tip that I need to clean my sheers after trimming because its contagious. I would have never thought of that. I'm sure they could have come out, charged a fee to trim some branches and charged me, but instead he took the time to explain things, so if I ever need an arborist, Tip Top Arborists will be my go to company! *** reposting because Yelp blocked it. This is a valid review. read more

Been using them since late 70's you can find people cheaper but not better or more reliable! It's way easier using a company you trust!

Guy was so cool to spare me some time on my backyard trees and landscape. He also recommended me a nursery that would know more on my species of trees and issues. My wife and I just bought a house not too long ago. The previous owner had a tree right next to the house where their are windows! Of course when it got windy the tree would smash right next to the window and also hitting the roof. We knew this tree just had to go. I called a few tree places and didn't get a response until a few days later to a week later! But when I spoke with Tip Top Arborists someone picked up right away and told me they would call me back after a few hours to set up an estimate for the tree to get cut. Luckily the person who called me back, after a few hours, was near by the neighborhood and stopped by to get me an estimate the same day! We called a few days after to have the tree remove and set up a time. When the time came they were very professional and very QUICK about getting the tree removed. You couldn't even tell a tree was there. Needless to say, if we need another tree removed or some tree's trimmed we'll be using them again. read more

Tip Top should receive10 stars. They were hired to cut and trim two trees in my yard, very large trees. They arrived early for their appointment, the size of the crew was more than adequate for the job, they were very capable, the communication was great, had working equipment, and the job was completed promptly. Also, they left my property (and my neighbors property) cleaner than before they arrived. The Lead, Jim, my initial contact was well-spoken, and every bit the professional with me and his crew. I am very impressed with the service delivered by Tip Top Arborists in Lancaster, CA. Well Done!! read more

The man who came for the estimate was very professional and knowledgable. He knew the names of every tree on my property. (I had eucalyptus trees..who knew?). The work that I was having done was clearing out a very large part of a tree that broke off during a wind storm. In addition to that, I decided to have the tree trimmed to prevent further breaking. During the estimate I was also informed of another tree that was dying so he said they'd remove that too. I also asked them to remove these overgrown vines on a walkway. The price he quoted me seemed fair for the amount of work. However, he quoted me in one lump sum for everything. I would have liked if he itemized the cost per project. On the day of the actual work they arrived on time (a huge plus in my book). They did a great job. The only thing is that they moved things in my backyard to be free from falling branches but upon completion they never put them back. So in summary: - Very professional - On time - I can't comment on the cost of service because I don't have anything to compare it to. I would have liked the costs broken down by project on the estimation. - Didn't return things back to where they were upon completion. Overall, I recommend them and I would use their services again! read more

I called on a Thursday afternoon, my estimate was done Friday morning and the job was done that afternoon. And it was a very fair price. I was in the tree service business off and on for over ten years. My dad owned a tree business and I worked for him. I hauled brush, climbed trees, operated a truck and anything else that needed done. It is extremely hard work and very costly to run. Tip Top did a great job, they did it quickly and I paid a very reasonable price. read more

We recently bought a house with a huge beautiful tree in the back yard perfect for a swing set and tree house for my little girl. Wanting to be the best father possible, I decided to have a professional checkout the tree and insure it is safe to be around my family... I also wanted a bit or reassurance this tree wouldn't take out my house if it decided to fall off the hill. I had a company come out about a week prior in the hopes they would give me a tree health report, they told me very little and simply gave me a price estimate for a tree trimming. That is when I turned to yelp and found Tip Top, they have great reviews and were in contact within a few minutes of me messaging them. Chris Miller just left my home after giving me a full health report on the tree. He was right on time, very professional, very knowledgeable, and most of all very honest. He was straight forward with me and said we don't need to do anything to the tree for at least the next 18 months. I don't think very many companies would display that level of honesty at the "cost" of generating revenue. The fact that he suggested waiting has insured this company will be my go to in the future. I highly recommend using this company. read more

Tip Top Arborists stand behind their quotes, and they are very reasonable. Chris, the supervisor for the crew made sure we were completely satisfied with the work they did. The Tip Top crew does outstanding work and the office staff are very professional. I have used them many times. This was my second service with them. Had a very tall tree trimmed, the guys climbed up and did a beautiful job thinning the tree. They cleaned up my yard and my 3 neighbors. Incredible job - amazing to watch. They also had the equipment to remove the stump so I was left with a level area to plant sod. Very professional, helpful and friendly, willing to explain everything they are doing. Would highly recommend! read more

From my Nextdoor report to my neighbors: Okay, here is the update. Tip Top Arborists out of Lancaster (have equipment in Bouquet and Vasquez) was the BEST ! They charged less than half from two other companies for the exact same estimate and then did it ALL ! Oh yes we did tip those men for a job very well done. California Pepper Trees: They took down a 40 foot tree that was easily just as wide down to 6 inches below the surface. They cleaned out two others and brought them down a good 30 to 40% to bring them under control. They cleared it all. They cleaned it all up and took it all away. They did it all in one day. The sales/estimate guy, Chris, came first thing to say good morning and let us know the guys were in route getting gas for all the machines. They were here 15 minutes later and immediately set to work. They had one important piece of machinery breakdown 2/3 the way through and two of the guys went back and got another one just to get back here and finish the job up on the same day. No excuses or delays. The other two kept working while they were gone. They took one lunch break and that was it. No messing around at all. Prior to the job the sales/estimate guy, Chris, reviewed the street for clearance in and out of our property and asked for us to talk to specific neighbors about where they park that could be at risk. We told the neighbors and they moved their vehicles for the one day. Not one thing happened here that should not have for the customer. Less than HALF the money with all the professionalism you could ever ask for. Tip Top Arborists is the way to go :-) (the more than double high estimates were from Joe Torres Landscaping and Roy Boak Tree Service) read more

This review is a follow up to an initial misfiring we've had on account of my information and quote being lost/misplaced. I thought they company didn't really care about new customers after I haven't heard from them even when given a go ahead to do the work. Well - apparently they do care. I was contacted by the company's manager almost immediately after the initial review posted. He apologized and offered to make it right. And they delivered. They had the crew come out today to trim a rather overgrown Canary date palm with huge fronds and a ton of dates. Tip Top guys were super polite, very professional, quick and left the work area very clean. It is refreshing to see a business try to make things better by owning up, apologizing, making it right and doing a great job in the end. I found my go-to tree business as I know I'll use their services year over year for other palm related issues. Thank you for restoring my faith in local businesses and in customer care. Great job! read more
