We called Tip Top Arborists after having several quotes from companies that do tree trimming. Tip Top was actually cheaper than the companies that were not certified Arborists. We hired Tip Top to trim 2 trees. They were punctual, knowledgeable and left the yard immaculate after they were done. Would definitely recommend! read more

I spoke to Tom Baal from Tip Top Arborists and explained that I needed a consultation report about a Santa Clarita city tree that hung over my property and that one of the tree limbs had fallen onto my roof, causing damage to my clay tiles. Tom came over to take a look and told me that the tree appeared healthy, but that it was natural for the limb to decay and fall, because it was competing for light with so many other trees. In addition to the overcrowding, he said the tree was planted too close to my foundation and could cause future problems. He agreed I could have a report stating as such. Unfortunately that report never came. Tom Baal told me too late that he spoke to his boss who said it would be a conflict of interest to send a report, because they contract with the city. I understand the conflict, but this information should have been disclosed to me BEFORE, so that I would have had a chance to hire a different arborist to give a consultation report prior to the city removing the tree. Tom Baal is now the only arborist to have seen the tree and the promised report would have been crucial to my claim with the city. I called and emailed Jim Lewandowski, President and CEO of Tip Top Arborists requesting an email confirming that a report would be a conflict of interest, but I didn't receive a response. Tom Baal has also not returned my calls and the city denied my claim for the damage to my roof. I'm giving them three stars, because Tom Baal did seem knowledgeable and others could probably rely on this company. Unfortunately, I could not. read more

I got a very reasonable quote (nearly half what a couple other services quoted), hired them, and am very happy with the work they did. Fast, clean, and courteous. read more

Had a big branch break off and land on my dog pens. Got a call back from Jason at Tip-Top in a timely manner to schedule an estimate. Jason was very polite and knowledgeable about my tree problems. The crew he sent out were all very respectful of my property and even my dogs. I can't say the same for my dogs:). Got the job done fast and left my yard looking great. Highly recommend this company if you want the job done right. read more

We were very pleased with the service we recently had from the TipTop Arborists. First, Tom, an arborist, came and helped to show what problems were being caused by invasive roots. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We promptly received a quote which detailed the costs of the services. Once the crews arrived, the removal of our tree was done efficiently and in the time frame they gave us. We have had TipTop complete other jobs for us and each time they arrive, they are very professional. We will continue to call on TipTop for any future tree needs. read more

I recently had a large (6 trees total) tree trimming job completed by this Company. I had a quote from a Company I had used before, but this job was too large for them. Their quote was comparable to Tip Top Arborists. Not only was the job completed within the time frame they promised, but the QUALITY of their work was amazing. Their attention to detail of the work needed, care in protecting my lawn in the backyard, the planters, and especially the clean up afterwards was beyond my expectations. They left my yard at least 5 times cleaner than when they started. I would highly recommend this Company for all your tree trimming needs. read more

Chris came to our house to check our dead trees and its surroundings, he then gave us a quote on the same day. Chris' crew was thorough and did the job completely and cleaned up our place before they left. Chris is very knowledgeable of his trade and his crew as well. We are also impressed of the Tip Top's office staff, they are very courteous and gave us the complete process throughout. The crew is on time and did a superb job. We highly recommend Tip To Arborists if you are looking for good people and superb job. read more

My husband and I had to have several pine trees cut down and removed and I have to say I was very impressed by this company. They did the job in a very professional and timely manner. We have been very happy with the way it looks and would highly recommend them. read more

Everyone we had contact with at Tip Top was very pleasant and professional. We had trees that had become larger than expected which needed trimming and one was beginning to lean toward a fence and needed complete removal. The work was scheduled and completed on the day promised. We couldn't be more pleased with how well the job was done. We felt the price was reasonable and are looking forward to having them come back in the Spring to do some shaping of trees not trimmed this time. Thank you Jim Lewandowski, we would highly recommend Tip Top. read more

Just had them trim our 4 palm trees today. Did a great job. Safe and efficient and fair prices. We will use them again!

My neighbors who live in the house above mine decided to have their extremely tall and leaning pine tree removed. I came home one day and found a note on my door from Chris, asking if we would mind if his crew removed some of the tree by way of our back yard. The pine tree was leaning toward our house so I told him that it was fine to come into our yard. I was home on the day that Chris and his crew showed up, on time. I couldn't believe how professional and considerate they were. As it ended up, most of the neighbor's tree was removed by using our back yard. They worked very hard and fast. After the job was finished, Chris notified me that some of the pine branches had crushed one bush that was on the hill. It wasn't a big deal but I was very impressed that he told me. He told me he'd bring a rose bush by the next day to make up for the bush. That impressed me even more. I told him it wasn't necessary but he insisted. The next day, Chris came to our house with a rose bush AND the type of bush that was crushed. Now remember, I wasn't even his client! I just gave them access to my back yard. When I tried to refuse the rose bush, he told me that that was the least they could do. I have never dealt with a business that was so professional, honest, and friendly. Oh, and the clean up was unbelievable. The back hill, yard, patio (which was far away from the hill), side of the house, and street were so clean after they were done. Whatever had to be moved was put right back in place. I would highly recommend Tip Top Arborists. read more

Todd came out early in December 2014 to give us an estimate of work we wanted to do. He came out in the rain and was very professional as he walked around the property with my wife. Todd also gave us some hints about feeding and care of our other trees not just the ones we wanted work on. I called them last month and told them I was ready to have some of the estimated work done - they never attempted to convince me to do all the estimated work they just put me on their calendar. This morning Todd showed up with Noe and his crew to do the 4 removals we needed done. I asked Todd if it was an all day event and he told me Noe and the crew needed to be at another job in the afternoon. Wow, really? My wife sent me pictures of our new open area and the stack of firewood and said that they were long gone within 3 hours of starting the job. Amazing!! Truly a professional organization, I will have them back out to do the other things we need at some point. Do not hesitate to call the folks at Tip Top to do the work - the "other" tree company out here never returned my calls back in Nov/Dec for an estimate. We are very happy - Thank You for an outstanding job!! read more

Looking for someone to trim a tree? Or, possibly a tree removal? Call Tip Top Arborists. We called and Chris came out, evaluated what we needed. He gave us a fair price for the cutting removal of a tree. The shift captain and his staff made short work of the task. They completed the cutting, removal, and cleaning of the area in record time. They were concerned of the surrounding trees and plants and replaced the ground covering perfectly. They left the backyard just as it was when they arrived. We contacted three other companies in our area and Tip Top Aborists gave us their complete attention AND they were ready to remove the tree ASAP...not weeks later. Do not hesitate to call Tip Top Arborists for a small job or a large one. If you could give more than five star on Yelp...we would! They will be our number one choice and company we will suggest to our friends, neighbors, and business associates. read more

Since we had never needed this type of service, and I had no one to get referrals from, I took to Yelp for reviews on tree trimming companies. Out of the 3 companies we received estimates from, Tip Top came in at substantially less. Chris Miller, the District Supervisor came to give us the estimate, was professional and seemed to know his job very well. Raul and his crew of 3 came to do the job (prune 2 sycamores & remove 2 palm trees). They were on time and knew exactly what they were supposed to do. They did their job efficiently, and were careful as to not break or step on any of our plants. They cleaned up after themselves and left absolutely no debris in our yard (they also cleaned up debris that had fallen in the neighbor's yard since our trees are so close to our dividing wall). In this day and age where it is increasingly difficult to find people who care about how they do their jobs and good customer service, we are so pleased with Tip Top! Job VERY well done! read more
