The school communicates clearly about learning themes, meals, incidents, and events. In the summer, the staff put together a truly wonderful series of fun events such as splash day, a puppet show performance, and junior Olympics. As a Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten teacher, I can attest that CCP is preparing my child well for the years ahead. We were searching for so many daycare around the SGV area and we came upon Playfactory Preschool. The school is located at a church. They have multiple rooms for the different age group. They have a large yard so they have plenty of space to play in. All the teachers my son had were wonderful with him. Ms. Wendy, Ms Maria, Ms Anna and Ms. Xing. My son loved Ms. Emma as well. She's the one who cooks lunch for the kids. He always came home happy. They are more play base than academics. They emphasize learning through play. This daycare is one of the more reasonable price daycare around this area which is a plus.

This review is purely based off of my tour and the vibe I got. I had toured quite a few schools before enrolling my son in another preschool near our house (which we love). There were Montessori (both AMI and "inspired") schools, a posh school located in a rather affluent part of town, full immersion schools (Spanish/Mandarin). After touring so many schools, I had to say the most important thing for me is the teachers'/director's "vibe" and how well I think they will care for my child. This ain't a cram school for college. I don't need my kid to come out SAT style scoring a 1600 (or whatever the next "perfect score" will be). They need to be well cared for by loving care providers. And Playfactory had just that. Granted it was only a tour - but you can learn a lot about a place just during a thirty minute interaction. At some places I toured - kids were left crying by themselves with NO ONE checking in on them. The teachers were all there, seeing them cry, and did nothing. I really don't care if they teach Calculus, this is not acceptable. That was a hard no for me. At some other places, the director acted like my kid would be guaranteed a Harvard admission spot and sending them anywhere else would result in a detriment in their learning and development. We all know there are various ways of teaching and fostering learning. There is no one single way. I would not want my kid in a place where people think their way of doing things is superior. Hard pass. Come Playfactory - I had such a relaxing feeling the moment I spoke to Ms. Tammie. There was a girl who was crying for mom. Ms. Tammie knew her by name, crouched down and told her "I have a feeling it's almost mom time". She stopped crying immediately. When I came by the 2 year olds' classroom, this was after official school time was over so the kids were all independently playing, but they were all happy, calm, and their teacher was just around the corner prepping some stuff but always keeping an eye on them. All the teachers I interacted with were kind and seemed to not be overworked. For faculty - Playfactory gets an A+ from my tour. I also love how they have a HUGE play area. It was amazing, almost like Lacy Park vibe, which is really hard to find in most preschools. The kids do tree planting and care for their little gardens. It's the cutest thing. I am still a bit sad we didn't get to try Playfactory - not that we don't love our current school, but really the only factor that held us back from PF was the distance. I still recommend all my friends who live in the Temple City/Arcadia area to check them out.

I had to write this review after our parent teacher conference at our kids Kindergarten, YPV really…read morehas prepared our kid and more We had our little one come to YPV since he was 2 years old until the end of summer just when he would start kindergarten. YPV has daycare for 2 years old all the way up to Kindergarten themselves. It was very hard for us to have family take care of our kids when we have to work and get home late, they are able to have their teachers there until 6pm latest pick up. When our first oldest went to YPV he was very shy and and scared of people (he was born covid, and we had no one around except ourselves). We had started his potty training but he was not doing well. When we enrolled him to YPV, he cried every day for 3 month's straight while being dropped off to school (it's normal for kids to cry for weeks, but it was understandable for our kid). Note: when your child is enrolled and needs potty training, the tuition is a little more expensive and will decrease back to normal tuition once they are able to use the potty themselves with assistance. They also provide you all the information you need to continue the potty training at home. Gradually he starting babbling much more and being more happy around people with less social anxiety during his first year at YPV. He was able to be potty trained by 3, and would understand using the potty #1 and #2 when he needed it. YPV kept my kiddo engaged and learning the whole time the 3 years he was there. There was never a day I told him, "it was time for school" and he would say he didn't want to go. The teachers there are good and care about the students. They provide lunch and snacks. Shout out to the parents that create goodie bags for their kids bdays, it made my kid really happy and we reciprocated also. They learn how to behave around other kids without being rowdy and we get progress reports of how well they are doing in class academically every quarter. By TK, the kids are already writing some words and can read some basics. I was just at a parent teacher conference at my kid's Public elementary school just yesterday where they were going over their curriculum for kindergarten. Counting up to 100, phonetic reading words, basic sight words, starting addition and subtraction, cutting skills, dexterity drawing coloring.... my kid can do them all already thanks to YPV! But I also have to credit my wife for going over homework with our kid (at TK , YPV teachers start giving some homework to prepare our kid for kindergarten) And you also need to read books with them at home and practice sight words. With what you do at home, and how the teachers help them exceed at school, I'm constantly surprised how much my kid knows. On another note, Summer School at YPV has way more activities and field trips. They have contractors for train rides, science shows, magic shows, puppet shows, petting zoo's, kids train rides, water play with spraying. Last year, if enough kids signed up for tickets, were able to rent out a movie theater to watch Minions. Parents and kids had a chance to experience a movie without the chance of our kids being noisy being a nuisance cause other movie goers and was a good chance to teach them how to behave in this setting. My kid was also really happy to ride an on actual full sized School Bus. There's also a snow day during winter where they bring in a snow machine to make snow in the playground area and the kids can play there for the next day or 2 till it melts. With a small snow slide too. My other kid is almost two and we've already gotten a spot at YPV for her, we're lucky to have such a great place near by.

I would like to honestly say Mrs Jennifer has been such a wonderful teacher. My son is not the most…read morewell behaved child, he's had his moments of not sharing, pushing, and screaming to get what he wants. My family and I spoil him way too much when he was a baby and resulted in him misbehaving for attention. After going to this school, my god, the teachers (Mrs Jennifer and Mrs Mei) helped him improve immensely. He's been using manners (thank you, sorry, excuse me) and even reminds himself "no pushing"! He started to sing all the time and learned mandarin so well! He's been identifying letters and numbers written! I had some school district therapists come by to observe my son's behavior during his class and they raved about what a wonderful teacher Mrs Jennifer is! They were throughly impressed and complimented on her teaching skills specifically on daily care and academics. It makes me feel even more appreciative to Mrs Jennifer for being patient and caring for my son! They even taught him potty training, I was a bit nervous given how little progress we had at first and thought we failed, but after that hurdle, he's now telling us when he has to go! He can undress, get his toilet seat ready, pull up pants, and wash his hands! So much improvement! I highly recommend parents to bring their child. My kid cries all the time, but it's because Mrs Jennifer makes sure that they learn manners and stick to a strict routine. Esther lied to me and took my money. I will never trust this school again. I have called a department of children services and they're investigating the case I was not aware that there is a government department that regulates day care center. We were looking for a program that nurtures confidence, independence, and the whole child, and TMS has delivered on all fronts.
