I've had multiple families that I am close to recommend playfactory preschool to me! I've compared prices around our area & their pricing is great for the amount of services offered. Their meals are home cooked in house at the school by Ms.Emma! I've been to school early for drop off and can see her making the zucchini muffins from scratch! They were able to potty train my son that was also included in tuition. I enrolled my son at 2.5 years old into the lady bug class overseen by Ms.Emily & Ms.Sylvia. Both are GREAT !! They are able to handle my son very well & keep up with his energy level. Ms.wendy who oversees the ant class is also super sweet & also interacts with my son since their classes are close together. The school keeps parents updated with bowel movements (in lady bug class) , how long your child has napped for, how much they have eaten during meal & snack times, & many photos of their activities throughout the day. I look forward to those photos and seeing my son interact with friends and join art activities. Any questions I have throughout the day I can just message the app and they usually respond back to me very quickly. The school is not over crowded & it feels like you can get to know all the teachers on a personal level! I believe all the teachers there know my son by name which is impressive since he has not yet been in all of the other classes yet. I feel like I could write a whole book about how much I love this school for my son! The best part is that my son LOVES going to school. I feel confident that my son will feel happy & safe at this school.

Playfactory uses the HiMama App, which sends parents updates on their child; including activities, lunch menu, etc.

I absolutely adore Playfactory Preschool! They have a great staff, who are experienced and extremely knowledgeable. My son attended 5 years ago, and he had the best experience. My 2 1/2 year old daughter started this week and she's already shown progress in various areas of developmental skills. I was extremely nervous as she is very reserved and super attached to me, but she's acclimating so well. In regards to Covid19, the school has taken every precaution to make the students and parents feel safe; including smaller class sizes, frequent hand washing, hand sanitizers throughout the facility, sanitizing toys and play areas at the end of each day, and easy/streamlined socially distanced drop offs and pick ups. Thank you Miss Lana, Miss Tammy, and the wonderful staff at Playfactory Preschool!!!

Both my kids went to this school. And now one still does. We all love it here. The teachers are so nice and friendly! They are very educational and teaches your kids how to deal with problems and how to interact with others in the real world.Socializing is very important along with giving your kids a head start and prepare them for what will be ahead. This place also gives them self confidence that I see in my kids now and I'm very pleased and happy with their progress. You can't go wrong with any of the teachers here and they will place your child in a class that will be suitable for your kid. Thanks play factory! You guys rock and I also must say even when my kids play there it's also a learning experience for interaction and team work let alone to respect one another! I am very very pleased with this school/daycare. I'll definitely refer my fellow parents to send their kids to this place!

Let me say, Ms May helped my both kids to start walking!!! Our girl is a bit physically delayed but once she started Pink Elephant, she stood up within 2 weeks and walking within a month! Not to mention, our firstborn started walking the very same week at Pink Elephant. We were pretty shocked! Don't know what Ms May did, but she definitely has tricks up her sleeves with kids! She literally has answers to everything. Know that Ms May and their staffs are extremely knowledgable as well! I've asked Ms May for many advices in the beginning with our firstborn because there's just so many questions and Ms May had answered them all, and helped us with their eating/drinking habits and so on. We are so blessed to have Ms May and staffs caring for our babygirl, daily pictures are such a bonus as many daycare doesn't do so on a daily basis. Pink Elephant does, consistently everyday too, now that's commitment. Give them a try, you won't regret it.

We can tell that they pay attention to him- they're constantly reporting back to us on his preferences and his development. It's also really clear how attached he's become to Ms. Mae. Until the age of two, we were able to nurture his love of creativity through art, get him engaged in reading and music, and keep him active and independent while learning at home, but his social-emotional growth needed a community like Modern Schoolhouse to truly develop. We met another family at his favorite playground that had an AMAZING experience at Modern Schoolhouse and their daughter, who was academically gifted and raised with similar philosophies, was thriving under their care. We enrolled and discovered for ourselves that Modern Schoolhouse was indeed an absolute gem for child development. Our son entered after turning two, and he was very shy/reserved at the time. The talking, dancing, singing, bilingual artist that blew us away with his funny ideas and love of learning at home, needed help expressing himself in the larger group. Over the next several years, Leonardo was able to grow and thrive his ability to emotionally self-regulate, from having a 'safe space' at home to being able to identify what he was feeling and how to 'calm his body,' to listening to others and respecting common space. What we didn't anticipate was not just the top quality of the school, the clean aesthetic spaces, and the exceptional teachers (Teacher Alicia from class 3 was truly amazing!!), but also the like minded and kind community that became a key part of our son's social life. During our son's first years at home, we studied Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio Emilia- instituting some principles of each in our approach at home. It wasn't until we met Sue and her philosophies at Modern Schoolhouse did we see some of these same philosophies embodied in an American child care setting; and we must have interviewed or toured at 5 or more local schools before finding Modern Schoolhouse. The core beliefs consist of the idea that children are competent, capable, curious individuals with hundreds of ways of self expression. The role of the school and family should be creating a structured, clean, and aesthetic environment that is conducive stimulating exploration and discovery. Teachers in this sense guide and foster collaboration rather than just 'delivering information.' Giving our son a new challenge was hard at first, but Sue and her staff were quick to offer suggestions and outside resources so we could reinforce some lessons at home, especially around his development of social/emotional skills like managing anger, dealing with disappointment, and learning to communicate when he needed space. He also was given the chance to learn how to build relationships and have positive interactions with new friends. Each 'season' and month had different themes that would be clearly delivered in monthly/quarterly emails along with chances to meet with teachers on child progress in key development areas of language, tracing, use of scissors, how to put on shoes/jackets, counting, class participation/listening, and emotional self expression. By class 3 (3 years old and above), our son was giving 'show and tell' presentations, using the 'sharing bee' to discuss their weekend, and playing inventive games to stimulate imagination and curiosity. Through the use of brightwheel, we were always shown photos and videos of our son having fun with friends and doing some fun activity. The school also offered many events at the school such as the "annual art show," "parent and me" day, and music sessions from Teacher Gaia culminating in a student led music performance (the cutest!). This year all the 4 classes made their own animal costumes and acted out various Disney themes. It was extraordinary to see him flourish and thrive under Teacher Alicia in class 3, who is truly remarkable for her ability to connect to kids and meet them where they are on the journey. By the end he was more confident in his presentations and even singing his favorite Disney songs Karaoke style to the class! Everything ended on a wonderful note with his graduation and small speech to parents and the graduating class. We were given an opportunity for a graduation photoshoot and his 'family book' with messages from all of the teachers as a keepsake that he created during his time there. As he graduated before many of the others in class 3, everyone created a special hand painted art for him with with the handprints of all his friends. It is bittersweet to go onto the next chapter, but he graduated school scoring high in every single metric of development, and he easily was interviewed and accepted into an international private school. Thanks you for being such a key part of his childhood journey and we hope to stay in touch with Leonardo and our growing family!

Initially, we had some concerns about starting him so young, but it quickly became clear that enrolling him early was the right choice. He is truly thriving--emotionally, mentally, and intellectually. The curriculum at TMS is incredibly well thought out. Each activity clearly connects to the weekly or daily theme, and we've seen real growth in our son's development. He's starting to learn the alphabet and has become much more verbal since he began. What stands out even more is how happy our child is at TMS. Every photo we receive through the app shows him smiling, and we always feel confident dropping him off, knowing he's in caring and capable hands. The teachers, staff, and owner (Sue) are exceptional. Our son absolutely adores his teachers and lights up when we mention their names in the morning. Even though he's usually very attached to us, he was so excited to see his teacher at the Annual Art Show that he practically leaped from my arms to greet her. That kind of connection is exactly what every parent hopes for in a school: a place where your child feels loved and supported. On top of all this, the school is extremely clean. Our son has hardly been sick, and we've noticed how attentive the staff is to hygiene--little ones always have their noses wiped, diapers changed very frequently and the environment is clearly well-maintained. TMS is far beyond a typical daycare--it's a place where our child is growing, learning, and genuinely happy.

The school also provides a wide variety of enriching activities, including science fairs, carnivals, puppet shows, bubble shows, and animal petting events where the children can ride ponies and interact with rabbits and other animals. The school also hosts special Mother's Day and Father's Day breakfast events that make families feel very involved and welcomed. None of them holds a candle to Bridge. The community at Bridge is very down-to-earth. I've made some of my closest parent friends from amongst this great group of families. I would attend birthday parties and enjoy everyone I spoke with upon meeting them. Sierra Madre is also a wonderful and welcoming community for all kinds of families, and I think that also contributes to the great vibe at the school (and at the Pasadena campus!). The educators at Bridge are also fantastic. My daughter, who went in shy and fussy, came out confident and caring, and beyond ready to go to TK. The subject matter at Bridge is age-appropriate and so thoughtful. My 4-year-old is still talking about their exploration of South American countries this past year. It made a big impression on her. The educators are all kind and so sincere. Kids can work with a few different educators across classrooms each day. They love these teachers. From what I've observed, these teachers are practical, highly organized, and treat each child equally. A very expensive preschool we attended for a while in Los Angeles would gush about children to the parents, then put on a very different face in the classroom, choosing favorites and barely bothering to get to know most of the children. But not here. It's been the opposite. I also appreciated that parents weren't asked for additional money all the time for things like shows. Bridge puts on two excellent showcases each year, and if anything is asked of parents, it's a few dollars at most. To go back to that Los Angeles preschool, the kids would put on "shows" quarterly, and each time, families were required to pay $75 or more to cover costumes for essentially unorganized chaos on a makeshift stage. Bridge, quite the contrary, respected families' time and resources and put on great shows that we truly looked forward to attending in the summer and spring, which gave children confidence and something to be proud of. A lot goes into making days and various celebrations for children each month special at Bridge. I'm just going to miss it so much!

I hope this review helps other parents new to the area see what a gem this school has been for busy parents like ourselves. First is the schedule. Drop-off starts earlier than most other schools in the area, and pick-up is any time before 6pm. This translate to tangible flexibility for two working parents. We'd heard about, and experienced, other preschools with shorter hours that even take weeks off for spring and winter break like the public school calendar. Believe me when I say I'm eternally grateful we never had to manage those schedule gaps with Creative Child. Next is the physical space. The school itself feels like a home, each room beautifully decorated and cozy. The school yard is huge, with swings, slides, and a sandbox. Whenever we visit, my daughter is running and jumping through the yard with her friends like it's her own personal jungle gym. There are also add-ons we could opt into throughout the week. My daughter looked forward to Tuesday tap dancing every single week, along with Mandarin and My Gym classes. These are activities right on campus during school hours. Outside of school hours, we even got to invite her grandparents to her tap recital, and it turned into such a great family bonding moment. Creative Child doesn't feel like just a place to drop off your kid. I appreciate how intentional they are about pulling parents into the experience all year long. I did a mechanical bull ride with my daughter on Father's Day. We built gingerbread houses together during the holidays. The summer calendar get even better with magician, petting zoo, splash days, and more! The teachers are superstars here. The school is intimate enough that the teachers are familiar to all the kids, even if they're not the primary instructor for their class. So as my daughter moved up each year, she was never meeting anyone brand new, just a familiar face she hadn't had as her main teacher yet. Ms. Denise, Ms. Annie, Mr. Viet, Ms. Sharon, Ms. Susan, Ms. Jessica and Ms. Giselle all became familiar to her over the years, and I think that consistency built so much of her confidence. My daughter had trouble pronouncing her "s" sounds early on, enough that we got a professional consult just to be safe. Once she started in the Imagineer class with Ms. Denise, her speech noticeably improved week after week. I felt like she's already performing at a kindergarten level even though she's not even at that age yet. And the food deserves a mention. Ms. Rosie runs the kitchen, and she's a magician. My daughter won't touch oatmeal at home, but somehow cleans her bowl at school. We joke that we need to steal the recipes from Ms. Rosie someday, because the quality of meals in the public school system isn't even close in comparison. Lastly, getting to know the other families in our cohort made it clear we'd landed somewhere special. So many families here are rooted in the local community, and I learned so much just from talking to other parents, tips on neighborhood activities, what to expect once public school starts, from families with older siblings already there. Those are the invisible benefits nobody tells you when searching for a preschool. We definitely got more out of the school than what we paid for. Creative Child gave us the school part and the community part, and we're genuinely going to miss it when she finally graduates and enter the public school system. Creative Child Temple City simply exceeded our expectations in every way!

Classes are structured with a great balance of playing and learning whether it's in a group setting or individually. Without putting on academic pressure, children learn and grow through play, and by developing a great relationship with their teachers. A notable effort is made to offer a great variety of special events for the children and parents including holiday and themed events. The focus of the events are always creating a memorable and joyful experience for the children, whether it's through showing their artwork, celebrating a holiday, or simply enjoying a meal with their friends, parents, and teachers. The school does a tremendous job in taking care of the children's nutritional needs. Lunches are cooked from scratch daily. The menu also changes daily while maintaining a balance of main dish, vegetables, fruit, and milk. Children with special nutritional needs or allergies are accounted for and considered when there are special meals or treats. Parents always have the option to opt out. Communication between teachers and parents are managed very well. Through an app, parents receive daily updates and have direct access to the teachers. Creative Child and its entire staff have created an outstanding preschool experience for children and parents. Every teacher knows every child's name and every teacher demonstrates an extraordinary level of care for the wellbeing and enrichment of the children. I would highly recommend Creative to any parent.
