Daily update

My son has been to several preschools before I found this school and I just have to say this is the best school with the most amazing teachers. They use an app to share photos and keep you updated on what they did and ate throughout the day.Teachers are nice and caring. Tuition even includes morning and afternoon snacks plus a hot lunch! They also do a lot of art work and celebrates all the important holidays.

Sample of a daily lesson plan.

TLDR: Look no further - ENROLL NOW! YES, you should enroll to save a spot ASAP for great schools. Some parents enroll as soon as they conceive. This is a small school. Best wishes to you finding a school! It has caused me great anxiety because my child will not return next year because my commute is unbearable. It pains me to transfer my child to a new school after he made such great friends along the way. I plan to keep in touch with a few families through external extracurricular classes (swim, soccer, etc.). After looking at over a dozen schools in SGV and my year at Creative Child, here is my review of the school: Accreditation and Reviews: Creative Child Preschool is accredited. They have great reviews on Yelp as well as by word of mouth. A few parents I met have friends who teach at other preschools and recommended Creative Child even though there are no affiliations. Safety: Obvious safety violations are taken care of by the accreditation process. However, my child's first year in preschool as a 2-year-old during the beginning of Covid (pre-vaccine days) amplified the need for safety. Yes, like any other accredited school, this school follows national guidelines for Covid safety. However, there are only 8 total students and 2 adult staff members for the 2-year-old class. The entire school population is smaller than many other privately owned daycare facilities (not considering family-owned daycares at a residential home). This school is also in Arcadia (the other school is in Temple City). I am not an Arcadia native but even with the number of parents who drop off their kids from surrounding neighborhoods, many of the families have stay at home parents or work from home parents who are all in the same mind of being fully vaccinated, masking, and other Covid safety precautions. Even if the threat of Covid is subsiding (fingers crossed), the knowledge of the small class brings reduces my worries as my child is less likely exposed to hand-foot mouth, lice, flu, and other bacteria or viruses. I am lucky to say our family never caught Covid and have only had the cold/flu twice this year. This is significant for any family for the first year of school! Environment: The school is on a residential street and looks like a home! There is a horseshoe driveway to increase the safety of pickups/drop-offs. The nicer neighborhood potentially means it is safer. The gate, outdoor play area, and the classrooms are decorated with the "creative child" in mind. Everything is bright, colorful, cozy, organized, and clean. The paint on the walls and building looks new. The toys and furniture look clean and sturdy. Not only does the learning environment promote safe learning, but also engage children in play and cleaning up after themselves and other habits (as well as habits of mind). Communication: The Himama app is a great source for communication. I also read the school policy and Covid addendum. Everything was very clear. The photos and videos uploaded on the app were a treat and can be downloaded! It made it very easy to look at reports for feeding (snacks/lunch), alerts as well as ouchie reports or if the child is feeling sick. Cost: At only a couple hundred more than the average cost of a daycare in Boyle Heights and East LA. But here you pay for individualized care with balanced meals, plentiful art projects for student development, detailed "progress reports" for meeting developmental stages and ORGANIC MILK!?!? Sign me up! Child Growth / Education: I love the weekly themes student study. The curriculum has been thoroughly planned with a weekly course schedule posted. You also have ample time to sign up for additional classes such as gym, dance, summer events and other activities at an additional yet reasonable cost. Honestly, my simplified goal is to ensure my child's safety and happiness, but I got more than when I believe I paid. I know my child learned new things each day! (*The images show Splash Day - a free event for the children because it was warm as well as Pony Rides which were only $10 and I got great photos from all the events!) Staffing: Turn over/attrition: For the year, only one change was made in the entire school when one of the teachers went on maternity leave. While the world and all the various industries are having a hard time keeping their staff together, the owner and director seems keep their employees happy. This is great news for children here. I wish I did a better job showing my appreciation during teacher appreciation week and other holidays. Do know that you are all loved! Lastly, thank you to all the staff members and a shoutout to Ms. Linda, Ms. Candice and Director Michelle. Thank you for being on the front line and making a lifelong difference for our children. I am sorry I started out as a crazy Tiger mom!

Parking notice

Child safety is not a priority at this school . Director prefers for a child to be loaded onto a vehicle from the street so employee can utilize the child designated parking area. Law states preschool should have two parking spaces or driveway to safely load or unload child but apparently this law doesn't apply for Creative Preschool. Email attached for your review .

In the beginning, our son (18-month old) had challenges being with a group of friends and Mr. Dave, Ms. Ranum, and teachers had so much patience and positive attitude working with my son to overcome it. They assisted with the potty train process which helped us so much. The school also handled Covid situation well, and we never had to worry about it. Our son enjoys his time here. He makes good friends and he loves all the teachers from three different age classes. This place makes our parenting life to have one less thing to worry about. I recommend this school to all our friends and families. We have signed up our second son to be here and we will suggest you to take a tour to see it yourself!

Our child began with major separation anxiety, but thanks to the teachers who stuck by her side, she began dancing and having fun in as little as four days and the crying at drop-off stopped after 2 weeks, at which point she began to run inside to be with her teachers and friends. The facility is very clean, safe, and built with growing kids in mind. They have a really good curriculum and great activities in each classroom. In the toddler class (ages 18-36mo & where our child was) they have a 6-to-1 child/teacher ratio. If I had to complain about one thing, it's that I wish we could get more photos/videos and updates throughout the day, but since I also don't want the teachers on cell-phones all day long, it's an okay trade off knowing that our kid will come home happy everyday and sometimes with cool art projects in hand! The staff also does a great job notifying us of any incidents (booboos, bites, runny noses) that need our immediate attention or knowledge. They have a good, effective covid policy in place too and if I'm not mistaken only one child tested positive for covid since the pandemic began, but the child stayed home and quarantined. The entire school/staff was then dismissed to get tested and the results were all negative. To protect everyone, they check everyone's temps upon arrival and they won't hesitate to send children home for high temps or any covid-like symptoms. I would highly recommend anyone to come here, especially if it's their child's first school. They do a wonderful job.

This will be my youngest's last year and I'm honestly SO sad. The pivotal memories they helped my sons create were just wonderful to see! I've always felt welcomed with the staff and they are just so wonderfully caring. They sincerely go above and beyond for the children AND their families! They ALWAYS set up really beautiful events for the parents on the important dates/holidays and it's just blows me away every single time. This was the place that I've felt safe leaving my babies at while I work. They always upload pictures of all the milestones AND when they do fun activities for the day which I LOVE. They're super communicative, they helped potty train both my kids, my kids follow direction, they have safety protocols as far as entering and leaving the premises. It's really a great school for children that I adore and will cherish!

I have had 2 kids pass through this school, and if I did one thing right in my kid's preschool careers, it was enrolling them in this school. I did extensive research into preschools and even enrolled my son into a different one Initially, but took him out after a few months and was lucky enough to get him into CCP and never looked back. Ms. Denise, Mr. Viet, Ms. Sharon, Ms. Susan, Ms. Annie, Ms Rosie (the school's chef!!) and all the other teachers have left the biggest stamp on my daughter's (and our family's) life. There has not been one day she has said she did not want to go to school, which I can only attribute to the fun atmosphere and wonderful, loving teachers. Holidays are special here, birthdays are special here, summer is fun (splash day! Science man! Magic man!), mothers and fathers are celebrated (Ms Denise knows how to throw a party!)- the entire school Is centered around love and happiness. Aside from the great every day curriculum, courses like gymnastics, mandarin, and tap class are also available for those interested (during school time which is great for busy parents who work and can't necessarily get the kids to afterschool activities). A phone app is used to update parents with pictures, nap checks, daily calendar of events, etc. You always know exactly what is going on with your child that day. On top of all this, the teachers are very conscious of health allergies, eczema, sun protection, and providing a well balanced meal. Ending this review just saying how grateful I am to each and every person at Creative Child who has helped raise my daughter through her preschool years. She is growing into a confident, silly, loving, witty, smart and beautiful girl because of each of you. Thank you thank you thank you.

I've now been an All Seasons parent for four years, and both of my daughters have absolutely loved their time here. Each year, they've had different teachers as they moved up, and every teacher has been wonderful--experienced, engaging, and genuinely connected with the kids. I appreciate how All Seasons balances strong academics with opportunities for independent play and encourages respect among students. One of the things I value most is the open and consistent communication between teachers and parents--something not all preschools prioritize. The entire staff, especially the director, is incredibly communicative and supportive. There is a waitlist, so be sure to add your child's name as early as possible!

The school takes only potty trained kids from 2.5 years old to 6 years old (so includes TK and K). Minerva is the director of the school and she is honestly the most organized, enthusiastic and hard working person I've ever met. She puts alot of time and effort planning out events for the school and making sure the kids are stimulated academically. No event is missed and this includes Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day, Christmas, Halloween, Book Fairs, and Thanksgiving. Our kids love the teachers and love the whole environment. Hot lunch and snacks are provided daily so parents don't have to worry about packing food although you can bring your kids lunch and snacks if you prefer. We see that the kids have tremendous growth academically and this is visible in both classwork and homework. There are also few random holidays/early dismissal days and the school provides early drop off at 8am and late pick up at 6pm which makes it ideal for working parents. Honestly I can go on and on about how amazing this school is but it literally would fill up a book. The waitlist is long so be prepared to line up early.
