Not only do they continue to help our daughter grow and give her the personalized attention she needs in class, on the playground, in daycare. But they have gone to the whole way to the mat for her to advocate for the essential services she will need to continue to learn and grow. Our daughter may well be stronger and even safer years after she graduates from AMS because of their limitless advocating for her. Separately, our daughter is now communicating at what an independent assessment has said is a level 1.5 years above her age group. And she's an increasingly confident and determined little person. Someplace else, she might be reciting more things by rote or I don't even know what skill someone might need a toddler to have. Instead, she can and will tackle anything. It just doesn't occur to her there's something she can't do. They are an enormous part of that. And just great partners in all aspects. I'm a better mom because I know them. Arcadia Montessori school is not just a school of magnificently talented, dedicated and kind people. They *love* their students. They advocate for and protect kids way beyond what one could reasonably expect from anyone other than immediate family. They just bring tears to my eyes - more than I'd like to admit! And just yesterday when I went to pick up our daughter who otherwise has deep separation anxiety said - mama, can you come back a little later?

He is now prepared for kindergarten both academically and socially. A few things that we like about the school are the play-based curriculum, smaller size of the classes, the sweet yard space, the nurturing teachers and how they handle conflict resolution, and that snacks and lunch are provided. We were looking for part-time care and Creative Child was able to accommodate my work schedule that often changed each season. Our son benefited greatly from his time at Creative Child and we highly recommend this preschool to everyone we know. Thank you to Michelle, Jenny, Vanessa, Abigail, Amy, Linda and Candace! On the day of our tour Ms Michelle already showed great patience answering my millions of questions. My daughter started going to school at two, and we have attended a much more academic based private school so I was really looking for a school that is play based but the kids can also learn something. Creative Child is really strong at 1. The teachers are truly caring and kind to the kids, especially Ms Michelle. My daughter was in her class and I was always impressed by how professional and experienced she is with the kids. I felt like she sets a better example for my child than myself. She always has a calm and neutral attitude towards every situation. She has great humor but also taught the kids how to be independent and respectful to each other. She's kind and firm- perfect balance. 2. All the kids are super sweet and loving, it truly is like a family. All the kids develop great bonding and friendship. They give each other hugs all the time. On the first day of my daughter starting, all the kids were saying hi and bye and giving her a hug. She felt welcome there. I think this comes from both the family and the school encouraging. 3. Small class and teachers really paying attention to kids behavior and conversation. The teachers are always on top, every time I picked up I saw the teachers always paying attention to what the kids are doing. My daughter would always come home telling me what Ms Michelle or the teachers said to the kids to correct certain behaviors which means they really are doing a great job. My last comment- I wish we attended this school earlier. It was where my daughter had the happiest time.

This will be my youngest's last year and I'm honestly SO sad. The pivotal memories they helped my sons create were just wonderful to see! I've always felt welcomed with the staff and they are just so wonderfully caring. They sincerely go above and beyond for the children AND their families! They ALWAYS set up really beautiful events for the parents on the important dates/holidays and it's just blows me away every single time. This was the place that I've felt safe leaving my babies at while I work. They always upload pictures of all the milestones AND when they do fun activities for the day which I LOVE. They're super communicative, they helped potty train both my kids, my kids follow direction, they have safety protocols as far as entering and leaving the premises. It's really a great school for children that I adore and will cherish!

I have had 2 kids pass through this school, and if I did one thing right in my kid's preschool careers, it was enrolling them in this school. I did extensive research into preschools and even enrolled my son into a different one Initially, but took him out after a few months and was lucky enough to get him into CCP and never looked back. Ms. Denise, Mr. Viet, Ms. Sharon, Ms. Susan, Ms. Annie, Ms Rosie (the school's chef!!) and all the other teachers have left the biggest stamp on my daughter's (and our family's) life. There has not been one day she has said she did not want to go to school, which I can only attribute to the fun atmosphere and wonderful, loving teachers. Holidays are special here, birthdays are special here, summer is fun (splash day! Science man! Magic man!), mothers and fathers are celebrated (Ms Denise knows how to throw a party!)- the entire school Is centered around love and happiness. Aside from the great every day curriculum, courses like gymnastics, mandarin, and tap class are also available for those interested (during school time which is great for busy parents who work and can't necessarily get the kids to afterschool activities). A phone app is used to update parents with pictures, nap checks, daily calendar of events, etc. You always know exactly what is going on with your child that day. On top of all this, the teachers are very conscious of health allergies, eczema, sun protection, and providing a well balanced meal. Ending this review just saying how grateful I am to each and every person at Creative Child who has helped raise my daughter through her preschool years. She is growing into a confident, silly, loving, witty, smart and beautiful girl because of each of you. Thank you thank you thank you.

But both Ms. Beth and Principal Ms. Marie gently reassured me: "Don't worry, she will catch up soon." And they were absolutely right. At first, she was too shy to speak at school due to the language barrier. But now, she has made so many friends and proudly brings home her artwork to share with us. What surprised me most is how well she's taken care of herself--and even our whole family! She now chats with our neighbors in English like it's no big deal. It's hard to believe this is the same little girl who used to cling to me quietly at drop-off. Her physical strength and coordination have also improved dramatically. Before preschool, she would get tired just from walking and always wanted me to carry her. Now, she runs around joyfully and hikes without a single complaint--her energy is amazing! None of this would have been possible without the love, care, and gentle guidance of the amazing teachers at Arcadia Episcopal Preschool. My entire family feels so grateful to have found such a nurturing and supportive school community. This preschool gave our daughter the strongest and happiest foundation before stepping into TK--and for that, we are truly thankful. Special thanks to Ms. Beth, Ms. Marie, Ms. Kim, and Ms. Anjali--and to all the amazing teachers who have helped our daughter grow with love, patience, and encouragement. As a parent our greatest desire is to love, nurture and guide my child. At AEP the staff...or Angels, whom go above and beyond the call of duty. In our experience of deciding where to entrust our precious Son factors of security, environment and development were paramount in our choice. I/we have made no greater choice than having enrolled our child here. Each and every staff member is truly an extension of our family. The rapport one builds is a lifetime from the parent-staff, staff-child and child-child is incredible. From our parental experience there is no handbook thorough enough to mentor us. But from Ms. Marie (director), Ms. Kim (assistant director), Ms. Anjali (Turtle class), Ms. Beth (seahorse class), Ms. Vicky (bear class), Ms. Frannie (dolphin class), Ms. Kelly, Ms. Debbie (retired), Ms. Stacy (retired) and Ms. Ivette (food preparer) they bestowed upon us throughout the years their invaluable insight and knowledge. Truthfully as 1st time parents they not only guide our child, but instill in us lessons that aide our adventures of parenting. We genuinely adore them and thank God for having blessed us with their unwaivering love and devotion. If I may elaborate on why AEP is so glorious is through the eyes of a toddler whom confides in us how loved and thrilled he is with his teachers and staff. It feeds our soul on how these Angels so selflessly yearns to mold these energetic bundles of joy. My Son would tell us of the heart felt hugs, the giggles, the conversations he has that makes him smile. As he express how he loves them and never wants to leave this school. Curricular wise is age based and is undoubtedly logically implemented. From encouragement and guidance the teachers fortify their needs through play and training. We often are so excited to see what he has acquired. I have watched my son develop in so many aspects that has layed a foundation I feel which will only propel him for the future. And I cannot express the shear joy we have had seeing him progress from an infant to toddler. From day one AEP has instilled confidence in our little one and us as well. I would enroll myself if I could ;p. As mentioned my son's love of this exemplary school is so great he decided to stay another year. You will experience unbridled joy as we have when your little ones sees their teachers off campus and schoolmates. It has been unequivocally the best decision we have made. I humbly and deeply thank ever Angel of AEP as they have touched our hearts, souls and minds. We are proud to be apart of AEP now and forever.

The school takes only potty trained kids from 2.5 years old to 6 years old (so includes TK and K). Minerva is the director of the school and she is honestly the most organized, enthusiastic and hard working person I've ever met. She puts alot of time and effort planning out events for the school and making sure the kids are stimulated academically. No event is missed and this includes Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day, Christmas, Halloween, Book Fairs, and Thanksgiving. Our kids love the teachers and love the whole environment. Hot lunch and snacks are provided daily so parents don't have to worry about packing food although you can bring your kids lunch and snacks if you prefer. We see that the kids have tremendous growth academically and this is visible in both classwork and homework. There are also few random holidays/early dismissal days and the school provides early drop off at 8am and late pick up at 6pm which makes it ideal for working parents. Honestly I can go on and on about how amazing this school is but it literally would fill up a book. The waitlist is long so be prepared to line up early.

Posting on behalf of my wife: Review of ACS…read more I'm a mom of a kindergartener at ACS last year. It was great for the first half of the year as the substitute teacher at the time was teaching my daughter, she was teaching with love and compassion because she simply loves the kids. My daughter was enjoying school a lot and she learned so much from the hand on projects and others. Although she was a substitute teacher, she was there for 9 years. The class took turn to lead the singing in the chapel time and they did skit and had fun. I was really happy that my daughter was learning the Bible and of course the academics side as well. Then, when it came to the second half of the year which is this January, Ms Bonnette took over as she was a new hire. She did not know how to teach. She taught using videos and Canva. She did not want to use her voice so much that she needed to use a microphone to talk during class as she claimed that she needed to reserve her voice for worship at church. She was using YouTube read-aloud videos to show kids of the books. The books she chose were not biblical, they are not even educational. When she picked a book to read to the students, they were toddler level. I'm not sure if she knew what level of education they needed. Then she has shown an inappropriate video of a green gummy bear song which is so popular that I was not even aware of it. If you search a gummy bear song on YouTube, I'm sure you will find it right away as it's the most popular video. I felt like the kids were being indoctrinated. She would eat candies in class and talk about her boyfriend with the kids. Not much of the hand-on projects came home at the end of the school year. I did not know what she was doing there. This is totally unacceptable and ungodly about what she was doing to the kids. There are still more things that I have not mentioned here that was unprofessional and inappropriate as a teacher. We are still waiting for the principal, Mr Limon, response regarding the investigation of this tecaher. He does not seem to care as we are not coming back to ACS anymore. It will be a month soon since we have spoken to him about it, and school is about to start in less than a month. Truly many Christian schools are turning woke. Please be diligent when searching for school and get to know the teachers first because this could happen anywhere. I have never thought that this would ever happen to my daughter. The impact from a teacher can be tremendous.

Update in response to the business's comments to my earlier post :…read more - You did raise your voice to me. The quote I provided was word for word and is quite a less than empathetic statement to make to a client. You also snapped at my child during our meeting which surprised me and put the possibility in my mind that if this was done in front of me, it was most probably being done in my absence. Providing a calm and respectful environment is a great core value to strive for but these interactions did make me question otherwise. - I never said the school stated or diagnosed my child. What actually did occur, when I was being informed of his behaviors, was I thanked you for telling me. Because these behaviors were not manifesting in the home setting, I didn't realize he was also special needs like his sibling. The realization during that meeting that I had another child with special needs felt overwhelming and that is when I teared up. You then said that if he is special needs, he should go someplace else like the special needs center across the street. While this may be something you are ethically and legally required to do in such a situation, it was not expressed in the most compassionate way. - While we were notified of some of our child's behaviors, we were not notified of all behaviors until the in-person meeting I refer to above. At that point, it had culminated to the point of asking our son to leave. What I did not appreciate, and articulated this in person, was not being informed of ALL the behaviors occurring which would have given us insight to have him evaluated sooner. - The classroom behaviors were not always handled confidentially. I actually have screenshots you sent to me of other parents' conversations where they mentioned my child. That certainly made me question the integrity of your confidentiality since I'm sure the other parent thought theirs was a private conversation and not being screenshot and sent to another parent. - I'm not sure what additional support and extra staffing you refer to. Sounds great in theory, but I was not aware of any during my child's time in your facility. - Even now, you mention how certain matters were handled privately yet call out one of those in the same sentence. Ironic. - Of course you disagree on someone commenting on a lack of empathy or kindness on your part. No one likes hearing the reality of how they're portraying themselves. - Finally, yes, my review was posted more than a year after my child's enrollment. That just goes to show you how much of a long-lasting bad taste was left in my mouth after the experience. UPDATE #2 : " As we have already provided a detailed response, we would like to briefly address your most recent message. Because this matter involves a minor, we do not feel it is appropriate to continue discussing specific details publicly or to engage in ongoing back-and-forth on this platform." -- Then why are you continuing to do so? "If you wish to discuss any remaining concerns, you are welcome to contact us directly so the conversation can remain private and respectful" -- You are responding publicly. I don't have any concerns -- this is a site for reviews. This was my family's experience with your business and the review was written to supplement the low rating I gave. Trying to keep my review of my experience private defeats the purpose of this very site. Not every review is going to be a positive one and continually combatting or trying to keep negative reviews private doesn't come across well.
