I called on a Wednesday about 15 minutes before they closed. As my son's spacer that connect on both back tooth's and holds his front teeth forward came off from one side. I told them it's literally hanging like I can't take the other side off. May I bring him in and the assistant said the doctor said no to take him to UMC HOSPITAL . I said but my copay is $500 . She can't wait 15 minutes extra just to get my son looked and we can fix this she said no. Where is the sympathy or empathy or the care or consideration. Everyone--from the front desk to the doctors--is super organized and professional. Back where I'm from, a dental cleaning isn't just brushing and fluoride. They actually deep clean each tooth and remove all the plaque buildup--and that's exactly what they did here. After 8 long years, I finally found a dentist that does exactly that. Teeth cleaned properly! Even if it's a drive away from where I live I would rather that then go to the near clinics to just brush and floss my teeth. I'm happy here. My past experience at another dentist: My son had two baby root canals when he was 9 years old (2 years ago), and our experience involved him not being fully numbed prior to the procedure starting. It was so sad to see my son in so much pain. *THIS experience: My son has been complaining on and off of a toothache, but last night, we discovered a lump near his gum and he was in a lot of pain. I looked to Yelp for pediatric dentistry and found this location. I left a message last night and got a call back from Melissa first thing this morning. She was able to book us for 3pm TODAY! There was a bit of a wait, but the office was quite busy, and they did squeeze us in for a same day visit. Melissa was still there to check us in today, and she was so kind and helpful from start to finish. My son wound up needing a total of 4 baby teeth extracted, 2 of which were infected, and they got his cleaning, exam, and extractions all done in this visit. The best part: Dr. Delisle asked my son if he was numb before starting the extractions. My baby was well taken care of, and that's the best I can ask for. Sincerely, thank you for making my son comfortable and getting him taken care of so quickly.

All I wanted to know was how my son was going to be cared for and how he would be put down under anesthesia. I was mocked on the phone by the front desk ladies, and had no choice but to cancel my sons operation. I really thought the answer to my questions was very simple and every parent should be respected enough to give that information to. This is my child that I am expected to place in their care. The receptionist said she had left a message the day before telling me this. I did not get that message - but even if I had, how was I supposed to get a referral the day before with my daughter in school? There had been plenty of time to check this to give me the opportunity to get one. I called my insurance and they said they hadn't changed their protocol and if a referral was needed that information would have been available to the provider when they checked my insurance when I made the appointment. So my daughter missed school and I lost my morning for nothing.
