Seated fairly quickly and drinks came shortly after. They were missing two sets of utensils when we sat down which was odd but fixed after the meals came. We were checked on every so often though water not refilled. Food: Garden salad - iceberg lettuce, 3 slices of cucumber, some red onion and 3 wedges of tomatoes and a sweet salad dressing. Likely plates in advance and kept in fridge as they literally came out 10 seconds after we finished ordering. Still fresh-ish though. 3/5. All main dishes came with 3 slices of cooked carrot, 1 broccoli piece and 1-2 cauliflower pieces. Also comes with your choice of baked potato, mashed potato or fries. Fries are from frozen. The mashed seems to be from fresh potatoes. Salmon - pretty small piece of salmon. However, it was cooked really well with a crispy exterior but still moist. The seasoning added to the flavor without overpowering. 5/5 for flavor but have to ding it to 4/5 due to the small portion. Prime rib - surprisingly thick but likely to make up for the fact that it's not super wide. Both sides were seared well but still remained a nice medium rare inside. Some parts were more tender than others but overall pretty good. 4/5. Pork Ribs (full): Comes with 2 full racks of ribs - is a ton of food. It wasn't exactly fall off the bone as some parts did require effort. The flavor was pretty good with a sweet and garlic sauce. 4/5. Price: On the pricier side but not too bad. Looking at around 25-40$ per dish.

We saw good reviews on google so wanted to try out this local spot for brunch. They have a patio so…read morewe opted for that since we were a bigger group and the inside didn't have that much seating. The patio was unfortunately in the shade and it was a bit windy and cold, but our hot beverages helped keep us warm. Get there early if you want pastries as they do sell out. If you plan to dine in, you pick a seat and then order at the cafe and settle up then they bring you your food. There's a place outside for you to place your used dishes after you're done. The lunch menu (after 11am) is limited. The croque monsieur ($19) was the size of a regular slice of bread and came with a salad. The roast beef sandwich on baguette was the tiniest sandwich I've seen at a cafe. For almost $15 we thought it would be a much bigger sandwich. The sizing of it would have been more appropriately advertised as a kids meal. We thought the meal was very much overpriced for the portion sizes we got.

I didn't expect the portion size to be generous (I struggled to finish it a little) but it was on the pricey side so it shouldn't be a surprise. Overall, the meal was quite nice and I enjoyed it although I did find the berries to be a bit too much. 2) Shaved Beef This was recommended by other reviews so we decided to try it as well. I think it was just okay and regular. This is a nice and cosy restaurant and I originally wanted to come for their brunch.

Although the restaurant was very busy, we were seated right away. The service was not great; it took about 15 minutes before someone asked for our drink order, and another 10 minutes before our food order was taken. When my food was served, there was a hair on the side of the plate, so I sent it back. When it came out again, my eggs were cold. We orderes food and drinks together since we had plenty of time to check out them menu while waiting on the server(restaurant may have had a dozen tables total). Table next to us stayed dirty the entire time we were there, nobody cleaned it. Then there's the food. Breakfast poutine, so salty that I couldn't even eat it, hardly any curds and such a small portion for the $17.50 charge. I ate the egg on top and 3 bites of the rest and couldn't finish. Server came over just as I was taking my first bite asking how it was(I didn't even know yet). Had to flag the server down as he didn't return to the table again. Told him it was inedible, he apologized and asked if he could get me something else but we had been there too long as it was and I was by this time thoroughly disgusted so we just wanted the bill. The meal stayed on the bill, not even discounted, and it was inedible. Bad service Bad food No follow up Would take something special if I were to return to try again

The restaurant took our name and phone number and told us the wait would be approximately 30 minutes. We returned after waiting 40 minutes only to be told their system wasn't working and they were no longer seating customers. The problem isn't that their system failed--things happen. The problem is that they already had our name and phone number and made absolutely no effort to contact us. If we hadn't walked back to ask, we would have continued waiting indefinitely for a table that was never coming. We even offered to pay with cash, but they still refused to seat us, despite having put us on the wait list 40 minutes earlier. They simply dismissed us. This showed a complete lack of respect for their customers and our time. A simple phone call or someone stepping outside to notify the people waiting would have taken only a few minutes. Instead, they chose to leave customers standing around with no communication whatsoever. There are plenty of restaurants in Collingwood that value their customers' time. Based on this experience, this isn't one of them.
