I went into the shop to get a stereo and the windows tinted. They tinted the windows and there was bubbles on the back window so they had to replace that. A few weeks later, the tint came off the passenger side door. I picked out a stereo they didn't have many to choose from because of Covid, so I understood he sold me one, then he had to change it because the door on the car that covers the radio wouldn't work. They had the car all day they couldn't get the stereo to work with the amp and it took him a long time to get it figured out. I also asked for a harness to go from the radio to the steering wheel well, the only part of the harness that works is the sound up and down. So a few months close to the purchase date I'm taking it back to have the USB port replaced it broke off when I tried to insert the USB. This should still be under warranty, but I was told if something breaks it's not under warranty. so now I'm having to pay $117 to get the USB power port replaced. Customer service is not their forte, all they think about is the money because there's no customer service there. I won't return there for any other service, other than getting my tint fixed because it's a lifetime warranty. Here's new information, a text sent before he would work on my car. this is what he sent me. And he wasn't very nice when I picked up my car. I came in today to get a device on my car recalibrated. It's a breathalyzer I had to get installed back in June so I have been to this location about 5 times in total. Once to get the device installed, another to get the device switched to another vehicle after a wreck and twice for a recalibrations. This wasn't really planned but it's due in 4 days and I just happed to be on this side of town so I pulled in. After handing over the device I realized I did not have my debit card on me. I asked about Apple Pay but realized I didn't have it set up bc I recently bought a new phone. So I go back to the cashier letting him know I didn't have any money and if maybe I could just go get my card and come back or something. The cashier asked the owner over but When his dad walked over I felt he was very rude. He didn't even make eye contact with me and He said if they don't pay they don't get the device. Turned his nose up, rolled his eyes and started walking away. So I said "is there no other way to pay? It was an honest mistake I didn't come here trying to swindle you guys out of $25 dollars. Then he mentioned I could zelle them. I have zelle so I sent the money right away. I personally feel like the owners attitude was rude and disrespectful. The service I was getting was $25 service, mind you I have to come to this store every 60 days to get my device recalibrated. They have my information on file including the phone number and my address. When I told the cashier I felt that the owner was being short and rude, he laughed and said "yea my dad can be rude sometimes!" I replied, " well that's not right. You can run a business and still be courteous. I'm not trying to run off on a $25 bill. Customer service makes a huge difference. I'm calling the company that monitored this device and I'm going to try to find a different location to go to from now on. (Update) the owner claimed I "used this excuse before and that is slander. I have never had an issue with payment and obviously I had money or I wouldn't have been able to zelle them. So I asked him if he was the gentleman that I spoke to on the phone. A man came from behind, and said that I spoke to him. I said why would you tell me that my car would be $300 and he is saying that my car starts at 399. The man had an attitude and told me he had 3 cars ahead of me and if I don't want it they can cancel my appointment. I came back the next day, they again said the tint had to "cure". A month later the scratch is still there. I don't advise doing business at this Smyrna location, great staff but horrible owner. I have purchased my own Type S Pro Series LED lights and wanted to have them installed by professionals so that I know it is a clean job and done right. I called this location and the gentleman that answered, possibly Alex, let me know that it could be between $400-$600 but depends on the kit and the car, and advised me to bring it by to get a real quote. I got there and reminded him that I called earlier. For some reason the owner instantly jumps up, in this office they have next to the showroom, and rushes out to us. Alex informs him of what I am here for and the owner just blurts out $999 for my service. Says that this is a labor extensive service and can take 5 hours for them to do. He says it's $1000 just for labor and if you buy and install from them, the labor is $1500. I ask him, "Do you want to see the kit? Don't you need to see the kit?" He says no, they have done enough to already know. Ultimately, I didn't feel welcome to do business at this location. I don't know if it was my appearance or that I wasn't driving the lambo that they have in their showroom, but this interaction left a bad taste. I called another location and was given the same breakdown that I was given this morning by the Smyrna location and think I will go do my business with Jameson at the Kennesaw location. I actually called back to the Smyrna location, this is when I found out that this was the owner that I had the interaction with, and Alex once again told me I can drop the vehicle off and they will do my installation for $600+tax. Came in today to get a quote for tinting a single window (had someone break into my car via the passenger window, unfortunately). Walked in, no one was in the main office initially, though eventually someone walked in. Explained my scenario to the gentleman working, who explained it to an associate who seemed genuinely bothered that he was asked to work. Walked out to my car and explained (again) what I was looking to accomplish. Rather than do exactly that, he tried to point out "damage" (a pen point sized blemish) on another window of my car, and said they didn't make the opacity of tint I was looking/had installed on my car (after fidgeting with his tint meter to where I couldn't see what they were doing). This seemed like a sleazy/cheap way to up-sell me on getting them to tint more windows on my vehicle. When he told me tint wouldn't look the same as my existing tint, I decided to leave. They had a nice car on display and the showroom was clean, but they definitely lack customer service. Their pricing was nearly double what I was quoted earlier in the day for a single window around $70 v $40 at a tint shop right up the street. Seems like gouging to me. 2/5 -- clean show room, nice car on display; sleazy customer service. Updating my review based on the owners response to my review. 1/5 for the business owner telling me how I should feel after he got exposed price gouging. Charging almost double the price for the same work IS CERTAINLY enough to leave a bad review; shame on YOU for telling ME how I should feel about almost being gouged -- that's not appropriate.
