Review for Tint World: A Lesson in Frustration I feel compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with Tint World, a company that has proven to be both unreliable and untrustworthy. My son generously gifted me a gift certificate worth over $870 to have my Ford Bronco tinted with what he was assured was the best film available. Unfortunately, what should have been a lovely experience turned into a frustrating ordeal that left us feeling cheated and angry. My son, who is quite knowledgeable about cars, made it clear to the manager that the Bronco had a soft top and that I wanted all the windows tinted. However, he was unaware of the issues we had previously encountered with this establishment when he decided to purchase the gift certificate. For context, last year, we had a sound system installed in my husband's truck by Tint World, and after the installation, we experienced a loud bass surge whenever we accelerated. We eventually had to take the truck to another shop for inspection, only to discover that Tint World had incorrectly installed the ground. We've also had several vehicles tinted at Tint World, including my husband's brand new $90k truck. When we got it back, we were horrified to find white, chalky chemical drips all over the leather trim and dash, along with two windows that had bubbles in them. We had to return for repairs just a week later. Fast forward to my attempt to redeem the gift certificate after Christmas. I called to schedule an appointment and was met with a frustrating runaround for four days about whether they could tint the soft top. Ultimately, they concluded that they couldn't, but instead of offering an appropriate solution, they suggested tinting my windshield! Are you kidding me? My son specifically asked if the soft top could be tinted, and Tint World happily took his money under false pretenses. After expressing my dissatisfaction, I was told that I could get a refund, by Jamie, since the service couldn't be performed. However, the story changed multiple times. First, it was a yes, then a no, then my son was called a liar, and shortly after, I was also labeled as such. This company has shown the absolute worst in customer service, failing to take responsibility for their misleading practices. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with a business that refuses to own up to its mistakes. They need to do the right thing and refund the gift certificate. I urge anyone considering Tint World for their services to think twice. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I can't in good conscience recommend them to anyone. Save your time, money, and sanity and take your business elsewhere. read more

Took my daughter's new car to get a tint. They had a special going on so we took it there because it was closer to where she lived. After several attempts to have them fix their tint. We request a refund and had them remove their tint. Their excuses was " We're allowed to have imperfections on our tints". Don't be fooled by there prices, pay extra somewhere else. Also when my daughter was picking her vehicle up the customer in front of her was getting a refund as well. They also left glue on her windows to where her windows are not even rolling down anymore. read more

Just don't. I have spent A LOT of money here with tint jobs on my vehicles. I bring it back with a complaint on a bubble that broke through they say it's your seatbelt. If it was the tint it would be sporadic all over. They can replace it at my cost. I disagree with that diagnosis and it's all good but I will not spend another dime here. Did not offer some sort of return customer discount didn't listen to anything I had to say to why I disagreed. Obviously do not care about return customers. read more

Service is unbelievably poor. The girl at the front desk is SO arrogant and out rude.

Booked an appointment 3 weeks in advance. The day before while I was working at 6pm I missed their call but they didn't leave a voicemail. Go to the appointment this morning just to be informed that they don't have the technician to put tint on the back window but can do the rest. Offered to reschedule to a day that doesn't work. I booked this appointment in line with my anniversary as a gift. Thanks tint world I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Came to this place because they had far less rates than most places in the valley for the specific car I brought in. They have front window tinting which I will one day come back for, and other smaller cosmetic installs for the in and outside of the car. Although I will come back for tinting I will not come back for other jobs or installs done due to how expensive everything else is. If I definitely want a new stereo it will be more business specific. For the most part we've had the tint for less than a year and no real complaints yet. read more

I have nerve damage from Chemo so the cold causes me pain like millions of needles and nails poking me. I took my truck in to have some HIDs installed I supplied the parts the HIDs and the Head light bucket I had already installed prior with Halos and LEDs. The HID kit was a: GENSSI CANBUS HID Kit Headlight Bulbs Conversion 9006 H11 9007 H13 H1 H4 H7 9005 The light buckets were a: 2002-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Chrome Halo LED Projector Headlight 03-05 Ram 2500 3500 Noted as being a Brand: Venom Inc, Spyder model. I noticed the High Beam bulb was facing upward not centered as the other so instead of going back a Third time, I decided to pull the light buckets myself as I had a break in the weather. I am glad I did. Here is what I found, it looks like the bulb wasn't secure in the clip properly or on that passenger side, the Two sided tape that was applied never got its contact surfaces clean or prepped prior to applying it, So it fell off?, as the weight of the HID ballasts or inverters pulled down on the wire the bulb may have been pulled free, this might also explain the Dust boot pulled completely off and hanging too. I was told the dust boots would be cut or slit to get the HIDs mounted I was fine with that as I was told the slits would be resealed with Silicone, Sadly they were not on any of them. My concerns here would be with Condensation build up, or worse as the slits were way bigger then required Snow\Rain would have got in and popped my bulbs. On The drivers side, the Projector units are counter sunk in a well, the projector was so far adjusted over that 1/3 of the working face of the projector was obscured from view from the well wall. It took forever adjusting it manually back, my guess was a power tool was used to do this and the Light bucket company states that power tools should never be used as they can damage the adjusting mechanism.( My Speculation about the use of a power tool ) thankfully it wasn't damaged. The passenger side projector was centered and fine. The HID bulb in that projector on the drivers side I had to Adjust a great deal, wasn't mounted correctly it was twisted slightly so it wasn't sitting flush, Might have been the reason it was adjusted as far as it was. Unfortunately for me the heat of the HID Warped or melted the base as it wasn't flush in the mount, so I can not get it to mount correctly anymore I am working with the seller of the HIDs to purchase a replacement bulb(s) On that same drivers side, there was no attempt to place\apply the two sided tape on for the Ballasts and such that I could find, so that side was hanging too. It also had slits that were even larger than the other side and were not siliconed shut either, in addition to a loose dust boot on that side as well, maybe from the Hanging of the unsecured ballasts? Also, all the Zip Ties I had applied when I installed the headlight buckets originally to secure the Halo and LED inverters or power regulators and wires had been cut away when they worked on and never replaced. Both of the New Headlight Buckets ended up with scratches across the lenses, Although small, if a towel or something would have been used to protect it may have suffered less wear, I wouldn't have even mentioned this if it hadn't been for these being new. Everything but the Bulb and scratches, have been corrected and finished by me the correct way. All and All I do not have the warm and fuzzy about the quality of the service offered for $120, I did supply the parts these have good reviews for the most part. The Manager and employees were Nice and cordial. So take this Review for what it is. read more

I was working out of town while my truck was being serviced at the dealership I asked the staff at Tint World if they would pick it up for me to do the work. They picked up my truck and did an excellent job all in time for me to come back to town and enjoy my new tint. Did not do that great of a job on my tint there are bubbles and scratches on one window. And did a piss poor job installing my radio. I won't even take it back to them to fix it that's how bad I think this shop is. Some of the staff is completely clueless they called me and said my car was done.... It was another persons car. When my car was actually ready the next day the tried to give me keys to another car again. Now they have called me twice asking if I still want to have the windows tinted on a car I don't even own. The customer service at this place was awesome. They took the time to explain every detail from tint selection, tint color, how it will hold up against the beaming sun rays, warranty, etc. All of my questions were answered in a professional manner. The tint done by Sergei looks awesome, and I've already noticed a difference when I leave my truck out in the sun; my black leather interior is not nearly as hot so the tint is AMAZING! Also the car detailing done by them was the best I've seen in Idaho. As a women that doesn't like to wash my own Jeep, but looovvveess the way my truck looks when it's freshly washed, I'll be taking it back to them every Saturday for a car wash. The people I dealt with were pretty nice. I made my appointment a full week in advance. Initially when I made the appointment I was told i would get my vehicle back at 2. Brought it in at 10 am and it took till almost 6 when they closed. It's understandable, places get backed up and busy. My issue is mostly with the job. I found a long strand of hair stuck behind the tint on one door and pieces here and there that have lint and dirt under the tint. I was expecting a flawless job considering how long they had the vehicle. If they needed to keep it overnight to get the job done right I wouldn't have hesitated. Just sucks when you read the great reviews and not being able to be part of them. read more

They did a terrible job on installing tint. I had to take my car back two additional times to have them fix the bubbles and creases in the tint. Even after going back, the tint still has bubbles in it and needs to be redone on some windows. It's still not fixed and I'm dreading taking my car back a fourth time. Each time I go in, the car comes back dirty and I have to clean all of the water/fluid spots and dirt left on the interior doors. I would not recommend this business. Stay away! read more

I have used this company before, and the work was great. This time, maybe the employee was new? I called ahead, received an unofficial quote. Showed up with my car, confirmed everything (with the same person), including the price (almost $500), and left it in their care. I leave thinking I'm paying for the best options. Shortly after returning home, I received a call stating that my car already had tinting film on it, and they were unsure how to handle this. I didn't expect this to be an issue (considering they are pros, and this is their game), and asked what our options were. They then said it would be another $150-$200 to remove, plus the original $500. I'm all for paying to get a quality product, but this quickly became excessive. I'm going elsewhere for a second opinion, and I'd advise others to be careful. In the end, what really did it, is that they didn't care about my wasted time and efforts. read more

The whole team was horrible they weren't very helpful and when they finally decided to take my car in to work they said it would be done in a day and changed their mind saying it was going to be several days. Got in an argument with what I believe was the manager and I ended up having them finish what they hardly even got done and then they wanted to charge me over double what they originally said. Took our truck in for the Ultimate detailing inside and out. I was quite impressed with the interior. There were a few spots that they missed, but for the most part it was looking like a new truck. I am updating my review due to the owner calling and trying everything possible to make things better. I'm still not 100% about using them again for detailing purposes, but their customer service did definitely improve my opinion of them. The exterior was okay, could've been better. A misunderstanding is really the major issue we have. Unfortunately it was one of the important things I wanted done that was missed. I was so happy with the way my car turned out! I was nervous to go to dark with my tint, but Sergei was so knowledgeable about what I needed and explained everything to me so I understood. It was not only done exactly how I wanted, but in great time! I love that they put the sticker on my window switches to remind me not to use them for 3 days. Initially, they didn't do such a great job on my vehicle. I came in and let them know I wasn't happy about it. They did right and redid the tint job and it came out great.
