I washed my car today and to add insult to injury, noticed the tint job they did was starting to show some small bubbles! I won't even dare try to get it redone even for free under their guarantee. I'm going to wait and see if the bubbles get worse and then find a reputable shop to redo it for me. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! also...AVOID GROUPON TOO! (They don't necessarily partner up with reputable companies, so caveat emptor) read more

I had the pleasure of having my windows tinted by Tint Works. I spoke with Dan, one of the partners, on the phone prior to my visit to discuss pricing and options. He was very knowledgeable and patient. I arrived without an appointment, although I'd recommend making one, and they were more than accommodating. They went to work immediately after I selected the tints. There is free WiFi which was an unexpected plus. It was great to sit and get some work done while I waited. They really care about the finished product and take pride in their work. When they discovered some miniscule rocks on the back windshield after applying the film, they removed it and reapplied it, rather than just letting it go. When the 2nd application of the rear windshield film caused me to potentially be late for my appointment, Dan volunteered to take me so I wouldn't be late. He drove me there, waited while I had my meeting and drove me back, definitely above and beyond. Not only did they take care of my car, they took care of me. I shopped around for a while speaking with other shops and I can say, even though I had to drive two hours to reach them, it was well worth it. They did such a good job applying the film, you can barely tell it is there. The film goes right to the edge of the windows. They did an amazing job and my car is so much more comfortable to ride in. As if taking me to and from my appointment wasn't enough, when I returned to retrieve my car, it was clean as a whistle. Dan's son, DJ, even removed a stain from my seat, that I had been previously unable to get out. They are a family run business and are terrific business people. Use Tint Works, you won't be disappointed. read more

This place is awesome! I bought a Groupon for the rear windows of my car. I am very happy with the results. The owner is very nice. Very quick service as well. Would recommend them to everyone. read more

I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to have my tint repaired on a Saturday, since I am not available during the week. I called numerous times on the Thursday before and left 2 messages verifying my appointment. I called again several times on Friday as well as left messages and did not hear back so I was left to assume my appointment was cancelled. I received a call on Saturday asking if I was on my way and when I explained that my calls and messages had not been returned it seemed as though no one would be there. The guy told me to just show up at my next appointment bc they don't make confirmation calls. I rescheduled and showed up 2 Saturdays later to find everything locked and no one there. The VM was full and even after going to get breakfast and coming back it was still closed. This place is a joke! read more

I recently went to Tint Works because I heard from a friend they did a great job and had a great price. I drove 40 minutes there, with my infant daughter in tow, excited to give my car a facelift with new tint. First of all, this place is crazy hard to find. Here I am looking for a building with an address on it. I go up and down Sunrise with no 4350 to be found. After backtracking, I stopped at a car wash to ask for directions and low and behold, if Tint Works isn't their parking lot. It's not much of a building at all - more like a heavy duty tent where you drive your car in and they lower the shade behind you. I had called the previous week and made an appointment with Dan, one of the owners yet when I arrived, he remembered me but had no reservation on his books. Luckily he took my car anyway, probably because I was the first customer there. He took my keys and told me it'd be about an hour and a half. Three hours later, I have a very tired and hungry baby, a car with one window still un-tinted and a bill that didn't seem like such a good deal after all. While I was sitting and waiting for my car, several patrons from the car wash stopped to tell me there was another tint place nearby which was half the price. I finally got out of there after three and a half hours. I have to admit, they did a good job. My very tired baby slept all the way home in the shade of the newly tinted windows. So if you're looking for a place that does great tint at an average price, with a long wait time, unorganized staff and a free car wash, this is your place. read more

Vary fast and friendly staff. Got the job done in no time and also got a great deal. Would recommend this place to anyone that wants a job done right . read more

This place is awesome! I've been wanting to get my windows tinted for awhile now. I saw they had a Groupon for an outrageous deal, so bought, and couldn't be happier. They were extremely friendly and professional! I would highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

Have a Groupon and been calling for over a week. They never answer and I just get a "Inbox is full". After reading reviews, I pretty much have zero chance of redeeming this. Not driving all way down there just to see if they are open. Clearly they have no capability to handle the Groupon they offered. Poor way of doing business. Might be good at tinting (guess I'll never know). read more

Tint works is amazing, they did a beautiful job on my 2 cars. I left my regular tint company after 10 years and am sad I didn't switch to them sooner! Price is awesome, I recommend them 100%. read more

Does anyone know if this place is still open?! I've tried calling and even used the "contact form" on their website numerous times (since JANUARY!). The phone is never answered and I usually get the message that the inbox is full, but I've been able to leave a message a couple times. No response. I couldn't tell you how many times I've tried to call. I spoke to Mike in November of last year and he sounded great, but that's the last I've been able to make contact! I read that their hours are Tues-Sat 930-5, but can't make it there in time after work, so I went today before 5. It was definitely not open! I have a Groupon, but I can't use it. So bummed!! If they're open, can someone tell me how to get in contact with them before I cancel my Groupon? I'd rather get my tint on!! read more

Sean R. has the exact experience that I had with this place. I was almost tempted to just copy his review and paste it in. However, I was able to get a refund through Groupon after calling Groupon. The refund process was smooth because Groupon was already aware of the dispute with this shady business. Don't go to Tint Works! This kind of business needs to be rooted out. I don't care if it is a small or large business, but the owners are not ethical people. The owner's name is Mike, and he is totally unreasonable. I waited 5 months for the tint, and he just brushed me aside like nothing. It is not important to him. read more

I'm honestly only giving them on star because it won't let me give zero. I called after purchasing a groupon in May. They told me they had no availability until August (today)- remember, this is in MAY. I called them again that same day (not telling them I had a groupon) and they suddenly were open RIGHT AWAY! That should have been my first hint. But I felt bad for them that they had so many groupons and maybe they couldn't afford to do them all at once. So I held my appointment for this morning. My husband works nights and I woke him up at 8:30 this morning to drive with me to TintWorks, so I wouldn't have to stay there for 2 hours with both of my kids. Drove all the way there and no one was at the location. We called and spoke with Mike, who said "we are no longer at that location- what are we doing for you today?" So I told him we had made an appointment for window tint months ago. He asked if we had a groupon and then told me he wouldn't do the work. He said that groupon was involved in some "unethical practices" that he would no longer do any of the work. I explained to him that we had set up an appointment months ago, paid over a hundred dollars and wanted to get the work done. He said he'd do it at full price (not even honoring the groupon amount we paid, let alone the 50% off), but I'd have to schedule another day. Apparently his partner left 2 weeks ago. He said he's got a great reputation (apparently not, given his poor reviews), and many customers he must be working with and couldn't deal with me on the phone. Waiting to hear if Groupon is returning my money. This guy is a joke, I think his business is going under and he's taking as much as he can with him. read more

This place does a great job. I took my brand new 2006 Honda accord coupe here and had my back Windows tinted as dark as I could get them. This year ( five years later ) I got rid of my Honda and when I did the Windows still looked as good as when they were just tinted. As a result, I took my new camry to get the Windows tinted like my Honda, except this time I tinted the fronts too. Now I think its time to tint the windshield. these guys are great. I called and got a quote and same day appointment.1.5 hours later they were tinted and the car was washed. Great same day appointment and service. read more

I got a new car and wanted to get the rear windows tinted so I was referred to this Michael person. He came to my work all very nice, told me that I could have the driver side as well (Ligther shade) so I went with his suggestion and got it down. A few months later I got stopped by CHP and told that it was ILLIGAL to have any kind of tint work on the driver side regardsless of what the shade is. So I called him and he said that he couldnt do it that week an call him the following week. So I did call him and again he said that he couldnt do it that week and when I told him that he was making this whole thing that it was illigal he hang up the phone. The owners wife called me that they do this all the time and getting a notice from a CHP wasnt realy that bad! So do not take his word for the services he offers as you might be the next one to be stopped by the CHP. LIAR AND BAD BUSINESS ETHICS read more

I've had my car done twice here before, not because they messed up (they did a wonderful job), but because my windows were too dark for the state I was moving to. I had them black out in the rear windows (which is fine for California), but when I found I was moving to Nebraska a couple years later, I had to have lighter windows per their tint laws. I was able to take my car back a couple years later and have them lighten the tint on the vehicle. Very professional group of people, quick and easy! They even had the info for Nebraska state tint laws to insure I wouldn't have any issues - how awesome was that?! Now I'm back in California, I have a new car, and I'm taking my vehicle there in the next week to get tinted. This place is a must if you want to get your vehicle tinted!! read more

I called 2 days after purchasing a Groupon for window tinting to schedule an appointment. Merchant was non responsive for a week. Once I got a hold of them, merchant informed me scheduling was 5 months out! I know things can get crazy, so I said ok. Merchant said he would call me the week of 07/23 to set a time. 07/23 came and went, no contact. I tried several times to reach merchant. No response. I finally reached him on 07/27/2012 and he informed me that my appt was 07/26/2012 at 12:00. I received no call back when I had tried to reach them. He said their business is too busy to make contact with customers. I asked to reschedule, he said nearest appt is late October. Horrible customer service! I'm not waiting 8 months for window tinting. Refund please. read more

Great price and they only use high quality tint. Knowledgable and helpful. They were super fast which I was surprised at! Looks great couldn't be happier. Great customer service. spent the lil time I sat there waiting talking to a few of the works who came thru, I ended up tattooing 3 of the people who work there haha. read more

I got a great deal on Groupon from Tint Works to get my windows tinted and I am so glad I did! Dan was very, very nice and helpful and able to get me an appointment that worked for me and my busy schedule. I waited there while they were working on my car and it was very quick and timely. My car looks so good, I absolutely love it! The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because there is one tiny little piece at the bottom of my back window where it looks like they cut a piece of the tint off imperfectly. I am sure Dan would offer to fix it if I were to let him know because he really was just a genuinely nice guy, but I noticed it a week or so later and its so unnoticeable that its not a big deal. No one other than myself would even notice it. I would go definitely go to Tint Works again if I needed to and already have recommended Tint Works to my friends and family. read more

Negative Stars on this piece of crap company. I bought a groupon as many suckers did and waited several months for an appointment. My first appointment was cancelled the morning of my appointment and I took the day off of work...really sucked. They told me groupon would be sending out a new appointment request which they did and I rescheduled for today. When I called this morning for specific directions, the 'manager' told me that I would have to pay full price for the tint even though I had paid for the the 'groupon' deal. I've spent several months screwing around with this company and will be requesting a refund through groupon. By the way I will never ever buy another groupon and will never ever deal with Tint Works again. I'm so frustrated that I need to write more. Someone screwed up on this groupon offer and left many customers hanging for several months. I put the blame on Tint Works as they should have limited the groupon to a specific number. How dumb can you be??? Super stupid and I would never do business with these people again. They are ignorant and stupid...don't go there. read more

I bought a Groupon for this place in May. It took me more than two weeks of constant calling (couldn't leave a message as their inbox was full, as others have said) to get an appointment -- apparently they were swamped from the Groupon because my appointment was pushed out for three months! So on the day of the appointment -- which I took the morning off from work to make -- the owner calls me. Owner: "Hey, I'm just calling you as a courtesy to let you know I'm not going to honor your Groupon. They have been acting dishonorably with me and I'm just not dealing with them anymore." Me: "Uhhh -- what do you mean you aren't going to honor the Groupon? I've already paid for it, it took me three months to get in to your shop, and yo call me two hours before my appointment to tell me that?" Owner: "Yeah, they just are dishonorable. I'll still do your windows for the same price, but I won't honor the Groupon." Me: "That means I have to pay twice to get my tint done. Is Groupon not paying you or something?" Owner: "No, they're paying me. They are just doing some shady things with my former partner and I don't like it, so I'm not dealing with them. I have a 95 percent approval rating and they are acting dishonorably with me." Me: "So you're basically doing the same thing to a potential customer?" Owner: "I don't like losing customers, but I'm not honoring the Groupon. I just wanted to give you a courtesy call and let you know." Me: "Well, as a business owner you know you're not just losing one customer because of this right?" Owner: "I don't want to argue, I'm just letting you know." Nice customer service, buddy. I am also just giving you -- and those on Yelp -- a courtesy by telling everyone to avoid this shady place. read more

Fast and friendly service. Used a groupon here to get all windows tinted. This was my 1st tint job and they were very helpful in helping me to select the shade. The lobby/waiting area is very clean and comfortable if you're going to wait there. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more
