Scheduled an appointment for a Paint Protection Film for my new car. My car dealer had recommended…read moreit and with all the construction going on around town and tons of trucks, industrial vehicles and weather around SA, I wanted to protect the paint. When we heard about the service, my husband called several times and no one called back?? They just corresponded via text and email, no personal interaction until we got to the shop. We even brought it up to our car dealer and he said that if we didn't hear back after a certain amount of time that he would try to reach out to them. Finally, they corresponded with a price via email and time available via text. I finally brought it in as I was on vacation for a few weeks. When we got to the shop, no one greeted my husband according to him as I was still outside. No salutations. He proceeded to tell them his name and what car we were dropping off. The rep was with another employee on the computer in the front desk. When they finally got to us, they took our info and the rep explained the process, other services they provide if we wanted in the future, e.g., Ceramic Coating and Window Tints, how long the job would take, how to take care of it and how long it would have to fully cure and to not allow water to sit on the top for now as it is a porous product. They also offer an Uber if you needed a ride home. After the paperwork was completed, I asked if we could look at the shop in the back so there's a waiting area with windows to view the process and application. Pretty cool and I noticed lots of high-end vehicles being serviced. You could really see the attention to detail when positioning the film on even the front Grill area of an SUV. It was going to take about 1-1/2 days to complete. We heard back in the late afternoon the next day so we told them we'd pick it up the next morning. When I picked up my car, there was a female rep helping me out behind the counter and I think she was being cross-trained but was very thorough. She also gave me a free Detail Spray with Microfiber Cloth kit. After explaining the warranty & paying, the original rep walked out with us to see the car. We looked at the seams, detail, checked under the hood, looked if there were any bubbles or imperfections. He said if there were any imperfections or bubbles that we notice, that we could just call and notify them. We wouldn't have to make an appointment. He reiterated how to take care of the car with the film coating & explained that brushless car washes are recommended because the brushes on regular car washes can damage the coating as well as your paint. Plus the brushes pick up other dirt from other grimy vehicles like trucks and can transfer them to your car. Good to know. He mentioned the other services again and mentioned that the Window Tints & how it minimizes heat esp. in the hot Texas summers. We were impressed at the work and in the coming days/weeks/months will monitor how it wears and if we see any imperfections.

I found this very sketchy because the only thing he knew about her was her first name, and he was offering to come all the way out to where she was just to pick her up. My girlfriend insisted that I let her go and see how it went, and then if anything happened, she would call me ASAP, so I told her to tell him to come pick her up from my address, which he did. Upon arrival, I noticed that there was one other girl in the car as well, so I was a little bit relieved, but as soon as my girlfriend got in, she texted me immediately telling me that she didn't know that there was another girl going to be there and that he just introduced her and that they were going to go do a cleaning together, all three of them, because supposedly the car was so dirty that I needed three people in order to finish on time. She told me she asked him how much they would be getting paid, and he ignored their questions. She also told me that he made remarks towards his clients and their cars, stating how he was going to charge her extra because of the hairs that were left in the vehicle. She also stated how she and the other girl were doing most of the detailing while Carlos spent a long period of time attempting to get this machine to work, and once it did, it took him less than 10 minutes to complete the task while they were still scrubbing and vacuuming the same spots for over 25 minutes, and he did most of the easy work. Once the work was finished, both girls discussed how they met Carlos and how much they were hoping to get paid. Carlos ended up dropping my girlfriend back off, and about 15 minutes later he sent her the payment for the service she did, and can you believe he only sent her $50?! I mean, seriously? She worked her ass off for only $50?? This man constantly critiqued the work that they were doing even though he knew that she was new to doing this for the first time and still ended up paying her only $50. He took advantage of my girlfriend and the other girl because he knew they were women, and he didn't have to pay them much for their work, and they wouldn't complain about it. This dude is very weird and sketchy, and I wouldn't suggest any woman looking for extra money to work for him.

After having bought the "full car" option. When I arrived , the owner Bryan, said that it wasn't the actual price for the "full car Ceramic" and gave me a "deal." That is up until today; I brought my car here today for a "warranty repair " and Bryan proceeds to tell me that the "lifetime warranty " only applies to bubbling. Not nicks in the tint or any other situation only bubbling. Since they have replaced it before, with no issues I was completely confused. No where on the receipt or anywhere in the store does it say that, on top of the fact that they have in fact done the repair on two other cars. So........ After much back and forth, he did honor the warranty replacement. But considering the stress from having to demand that they honor their own warranty, on top of the fact that my car was broken into after visiting this store, No, I definitely do not recommend this tint store. In my opinion, there are a few key categories which are extremely important, yet easy to overlook when it comes to shopping for a window tint service: 1.The relationship of product cost to product performance, or what I call VALUE. 2.The skill of the installers/quality of work 3. Customer service 4. Guarantee of work/warranty I knew I wanted a ceramic film with heat rejecting properties and Thumbs Up offered the high end ceramic tint films I had researched (Llumar, Pinnacle F1), at a competitive price point. After reading stellar reviews, I decided to call Thumbs Up, as I had learned online they are one of the only (if not only) shop that carries Pinnacle F1 film. I spoke with Carmen, who was extremely polite and knowledgeable about the various tint films on the market (just like the reviews promised). I told Carmen the basis of what I was looking for, specific to my needs, and she informed me of a couple films that would suit the bill. She quoted me the prices, informed me I would receive a MIL discount, and invited me to come by and take a look at the options in person. I came by the following day just to feel things out. The shop looked very professional. Carmen greeted me and knew exactly who I was from our prior conversation. She showed me the film's, explained the lifetime warranty, and gave me her professional opinion on what percentage would be best for my vehicle. The price she quoted in person matched my phone quote. I decided to go with Pinnacle Formula One all around and LLumar Air 80 on the windshield. Luckily for me, the shop was able to fit me in and start the work. Carmen showed me the waiting room and was very attentive to my needs during my 2hr job. The waiting room has cable TV, free wifi, water cooler, and lotsa magazines. I was escorted to the back when one of the installers found my rear defroster was not attached to the back glass properly. I wish I got the 2 installers names because they did a top notch job!
