I have brought 4 of my vehicles and they've always done an awesome job. They even hooked me up with an original tint removal at no cost 1 time. Hoping they'll do it again on my new car lol. Either way I'm going back. read more

We received Fast and professional service. They are well organized and keep good record of past transactions. Quality tint is expensive but it's better to buy the best you can afford now than possibly paying even more later (don't forget removing old tint cost money too). read more

I needed to have the Tint removed from my windows to pass the State inspection and Thumbs up was great. I called around 4:00 pm on a Monday and they could take me in immediately. It was only $80 total to remove the tint from my driver and passenger side windows. The work was finished in under 30 minutes and was perfect. They also do tinting that would pass the State inspection and those that wouldn't. I highly recommend this place for all your window tinting needs. read more

Highly recommend the team at thumbs up window tint for tinting your car. I've gone multiple times to thumbs up (this is my 5th car) and every time I've gone the customer service and work I've received has been excellent. I recently got a Tesla and with the Texas heat it was essential that I get it tinted since the car was getting very hot with the extended sun roof. Thumbs up had the best tinting option and said that they could do the top of the car with one piece and not two pieces with a seam in the middle like other companies told me. They also had very competitive pricing and again excellent customer service. They took the time to explain the different tinting options and give recommendations based on your car/needs. Another benefit is that they are open on Saturday which makes it easier for me to drop off due to work. I'm looking forward to taking my next car there soon. read more

This one star isn't for their window tinting job, because I haven't used them yet, but more so an indicator on their professionalism. I called earlier in the day to get quotes, and the gentleman I spoke with seemed kind and helpful. After calling a few others to get an idea of other prices, I decided to go with Thumbs Up Window Tint. I called back today to schedule an appt for tomorrow but got voicemail. They called back and told me to give him a ring back to help answer any questions. I called back, they picked up, and I got told "stop f***ing calling me", and then hung up. Que the confusion. Now, my assumption is that this happened because I have an out of town area code (had it all my life), and they had probably assumed I was a sales caller. Fair enough. But if your personal number is associated with your work number, I'd give the caller the benefit of the doubt here and at least see if it's a sales call. Needless to say, this became someone who I was excited to work with to holy crap, that was messed up and here's a one star review. I'd much rather spend $20 extra bucks and wait a week to tint my windows with someone courteous enough to know how to pick up a phone call. Also, their online webpage takes you to a Nike shoe store. I hope this comment helps them fix those things, because otherwise they seem capable based off other reviews. Take care! read more

Thank you Carmen and the staff at Thumbs Up Window Tint 4 an awesome tint on my Impala! I shopped around San Antonio extensively, on Yelp and other review sites searching for a window tint shop that would provide me the best tint and overall value. I made many calls, and researched countless forums. I hope my findings save others some time! In my opinion, there are a few key categories which are extremely important, yet easy to overlook when it comes to shopping for a window tint service: 1.The relationship of product cost to product performance, or what I call VALUE. 2.The skill of the installers/quality of work 3. Customer service 4. Guarantee of work/warranty I knew I wanted a ceramic film with heat rejecting properties and Thumbs Up offered the high end ceramic tint films I had researched (Llumar, Pinnacle F1), at a competitive price point. After reading stellar reviews, I decided to call Thumbs Up, as I had learned online they are one of the only (if not only) shop that carries Pinnacle F1 film. I spoke with Carmen, who was extremely polite and knowledgeable about the various tint films on the market (just like the reviews promised). I told Carmen the basis of what I was looking for, specific to my needs, and she informed me of a couple films that would suit the bill. She quoted me the prices, informed me I would receive a MIL discount, and invited me to come by and take a look at the options in person. I came by the following day just to feel things out. The shop looked very professional. Carmen greeted me and knew exactly who I was from our prior conversation. She showed me the film's, explained the lifetime warranty, and gave me her professional opinion on what percentage would be best for my vehicle. The price she quoted in person matched my phone quote. I decided to go with Pinnacle Formula One all around and LLumar Air 80 on the windshield. Luckily for me, the shop was able to fit me in and start the work. Carmen showed me the waiting room and was very attentive to my needs during my 2hr job. The waiting room has cable TV, free wifi, water cooler, and lotsa magazines. I was escorted to the back when one of the installers found my rear defroster was not attached to the back glass properly. I wish I got the 2 installers names because they did a top notch job! Very few moisture streaks/bubbles at this time. My car looks awesome, I got the tint I wanted, and was treated like a VIP. I think Thumbs Up Tinting offers amazing service, value, and expertise! Thanks guys, and thanks again Carmen! read more

I've brought 3 cars here in total and have never had an issue with the tinting process. Recently I brought a vehicle in to get tinted and the driver window had flaws. I brought the car back in to see what they could do and one of the guys said "yea it gets dusty back there sometimes so it can show in the tint" the other guy came and looked and said "yea that's water" used a little tool to push the water out leaving a smudge in the tint that looks like a finger print and says "the owner won't replace the film for small errors like this" I spent $800 on this tint job. I should've used the guy in my neighborhood for $250 if this is the outcome of the product they use. As they're walking back in to the shop they're laughing like it's funny they can't tint correctly. If you want tint done correctly I would NOT recommend coming to this place. I used to tell everyone I knew to come here but after this experience, it's a NO for me read more

4th car by them, and as always happy. Easy appointment, easy selection since we always do ceramic including windshield, and never had any issues. This time try out the vinyl wrap and took 1.5 days, owner apologizes for the delay but no issue here. Rather have it perfect. Only issue was I missed a spot that had a scratch and wish I had them Replace it, we both didn't think about it until after the fact. read more

First off, it was a very inviting waiting area- water and reading material. The young lady at the front desk was very kind and kept asking if we needed anything. I love to find a friendly employee and she is one of them. This business has many different options for a price range that is affordable. They told me they have been there for 5 years, but the inside looks brand new. They take care of your vehicle. No, they did not tell us about the military discount; but then again, most businesses don't advertise that, so it's not a biggy. 5 out of 5 because this business is quality and they care. -Drew read more

Customer service it why I picked this place over Mother's Window Tint. That and I got a better price for the same product. Originally I wanted to go to Mother's because that's what I knew but the lady at thumbs up was so kind and friendly. Like she really cared not just wanting my money. She knew her stuff. I was able to get an appointment for the following day which was good Mother's wanted me to wait about a week. Ok my window tint: its great for Texas lol. Don't like how light it is(thanks Texas Law) but love the quality of work. Also got a life time warranty for all over the US on my tint from peeling or cracking. Thanks. read more

Scheduled tint as a surprise for hubby who was out of town. They were very nice and accommodated me next day on short notice. The Kobe was done very professionally. Great service all around and product! Have tint on my 2005 Tacoma that's held up for more than 15yrs. And just got my 22 F350 done. Got my windows done here, was good until after I paid. She never mentioned a military discount until after I PAID, and another customer asked later, she gave it to him, and REFUSED to give me the discount, even though it's not hard to do. Iv seen people so it before. This place obviously does not care for the Military and only wants your money, and for a mediocre job at that. Don't come here read more

This place turned out to be pretty Great. I had went to another tint place closer to where I live but that seemed to flake out. The guy never showed for his appointment. I decided to do another search and found this place with some pretty good ratings. I went in to talk with them and when I got there a lady by the name of Carmen was helping another customer. as I walked in she acknowledged I was there and said she would be right with me (which was nice). I waited about 5-10 mins. Carmen than came up to me and explained the tint options and prices. I ended up getting a phone call during our discussion so I asked her to please excuse me I had to take a call. I was with my young daughter and while I was on the phone Carmen kept my daughter company (showed her some pictures of a puppy dog I think). Anyhow we finish up and I set up an appointment to bring the car back. The day of the appointment I was running about 10 mins late due to traffic and where I was coming from. I called and left a msg to let them know I was running late. Right a I was pulling up they called to let me know they received my MSG and would be waiting for me not to worry. I waited for the car and they let me use their WiFi for my iPad watched TV what more could you ask for. Car was done in about an 1:30 to 1:45 mins they explained the warranty and I was on my way. They did have a problem with their system while I was there but the owner explained what was going on and it didn't really cost me anymore time so I didn't have a problem with it. I would defiantly recommend this place. This place gets a 5 star from me. read more

I came here to get my windows tinted after reading the positive reviews on Yelp. I walked in to inquire about prices and tint. Although they had vehicles on appointments, they were able to get my truck done right then and there. They have me an estimated time it would be done by and it was. I sat in the clean and spacious waiting area and ate the food I purchased on the way. The office and waiting area were both clean. They explained everything to me and helped me in choosing the right tint for what I wanted and needed. I would definitely recommend friends and family and I will definitely return. Everything was explained in detail before I left. They were quick but did an excellent job! They even wiped down or washed my truck before they returned it to me. read more

I got my windows tinted a few months ago and I have been really pleased and impressed by the work Thumbs Up did on my car! First, I talked to another tint place and got some information, then started doing my own research. When I called Thumbs Up for a quote I asked some additional questions regarding the research I had done. He helped me choose the right kind of tint for what I wanted and for what I felt was a very reasonable price! Second, they came to my house!!! That was so great. I was able to keep working on chores and getting things done around the house while my tint was being done. It was so convenient! Last, the installer was super friendly and even gave me some additional tips. He did a great and fast job on my car. Overall, I've been very pleased with my tint and so far haven't had any issues with it peeling or bubbling up. I only wish I had done it to my car when I first bought it nearly 3 years ago!! read more

I wanted to wait more than 6 months before writing a review. I wanted to see how my window tint would hold up and I can say it is excellent! I got it done in March of 2018 and paid about $330. BEST investment I made!!!! I want to point out I just got a new car a month before going to get my windows tinted. I asked the lady (I can't remember her name) if she could point me to the best tint for me. She gave me a variety of options and even explained why each one was priced differently and showed me hands on with the tints. I was extremely pleased and happy with my purchase. People kept saying "oh I know a guy who can do it for half that price" but will have their tint peeling off 2 months later. You get what you pay for!! I highly recommend checking them out and getting their work done! Thank you for making me a pleased customer! read more

Love this place. Had 3 cars tinted here now. Great prices, excellent and quick service. Would highly recommend.

They did an amazing job on my black Mazda3! I can already tell a huge difference with the temperature inside my car - it really does help with the crazy Texas heat. They were able to get me in same-day and they even stayed after hours to get the job done (on a holiday weekend nonetheless). Julio took the time to explain the details of all of their options and we are 100% confident we chose the right one for our needs. Thanks Thumbs Up! Referring friends and family for sure! read more

I got my wife's car tinted here. The tint looked fine but I noticed after I left that they conveniently installed a sticker that included the shop's name and phone number. I went back and spoke the Mark who seemed like a nice enough guy. He informed me it is a compliance sticker, state law requires that a sticker with the words "complies with TCC 547.613" must be installed. He printed out the law for me and I must have stopped reading before I read that it also stated "other info on the label including the installers name, is optional." The part of the label that has their name on it is in BIG BOLD font while the required part is in tiny, thin font. This is a sleazy way for them to make vehicles free advertising machines and the user CAN'T remove it. He said "now you and I will disagree but I am not willing to trash a good piece of film just to take out the sticker but if you'd like I'll help you out with the cost" meaning although I told him I am not a happy customer he wants to charge me more money to remove the shop name and contact information that is not required to be there. It's one thing for a car dealer to install a license plate bracket to that has the ability to be removed, but this I can't remove and it's down right dishonorable. My wife and I are in the market for a 3rd vehicle and will not be bringing it here for service. read more

Found this place just searching online and they quoted me the lowest price to install my racing stripes. 2016 Mustang GT. I purchased the stripes from another business online. Thumbs up started the work but after some time came out to tell me that the price for install would have to increased slightly due to the way the pinstripes were separate pieces. I understood and the price increase was minimal. It took 4 guys a couple more hours to do the job and they worked past the closing hours. Very happy with the work they did and the look of my car. After conducting research for tinting specialist in the San Antonio area (who are open for business on a Saturday) Thumbs Up easily became my choice for auto tinting needs. Part of my research revealed a negative comment by a potential customer, I was interested in the reply from the business to the unhappy customer. The young lady who encountered the problem provided a reasonable reply and explained to the customer why he remained on hold for an extended period. She reiterated the ethical treatment Thumbs Up strives for; her response was truthful, honest and to the point. This prompted me to drive from 281/Bitters to 1604/Culebra. Upon visiting the business I was given a demonstration on how to chose the appropriate window film based on budget and needs...no high pressure sales! Although I was a walk-in customer on a busy Saturday they made room for me on their schedule. While waiting for my vehicle one extremely happy customer visited and I overheard her praise and happiness with a tint job done months ago. She just happened to be in the neighborhood and felt the urge to tell the owner and receptionist/sales representative her feelings and how she has taken it upon herself to spread positive advertisement to family and friends about Thumbs Up. This unsolicited testimonial mirrors my comments. At the conclusion of the installation I was extremely happy with the results...my late model 5 Series BMW looks awesome. I highly recommend Thumbs Up. In closing, this is not a $99.00 special type business, my opinion about any sales purchase...you get what you pay for, if you want something that looks professional, warrantied and lasts don't waste your money...get the best...Thumbs Up! read more

Great quality, quickly completed, flexible with appointments, and affordable! I got a full sized truck tinted, and my large passenger van tinted both within a week of each other. With my truck I had an appointment at 5 pm but I ended up coming in an hour early and Julio was able to fit me in and have me out on time. I also had to have a quick turnaround on my passenger van and Mark was super accommodating. He and Julio worked on it even after business hours to have it completed for my family and I. Our passenger van is our family vehicle so going without it makes it difficult, but Thumbs Up Window tint was able to pull through for us. They are also military friendly offering a discount active duty. I'd highly recommend to my family, friends, and anyone in the area looking for tint! read more
