No, I most certainly do not recommend this store. Details right......ok, So , I have brought 6 vehicles to this store over the last 8 years. I first came to this store because of a Groupon. After having bought the "full car" option. When I arrived , the owner Bryan, said that it wasn't the actual price for the "full car Ceramic" and gave me a "deal." Because of the "Lifetime Warranty , "the Manager Mike, and the owner always took such great care of me and made me feel like a valued customer, I felt that it was worth it to pay a little more. Even after my car was broken into after coming here. That is up until today; I brought my car here today for a "warranty repair " and Bryan proceeds to tell me that the "lifetime warranty " only applies to bubbling. Not nicks in the tint or any other situation only bubbling. Since they have replaced it before, with no issues I was completely confused. No where on the receipt or anywhere in the store does it say that, on top of the fact that they have in fact done the repair on two other cars. So........ After much back and forth, he did honor the warranty replacement. But considering the stress from having to demand that they honor their own warranty, on top of the fact that my car was broken into after visiting this store, No, I definitely do not recommend this tint store. I have a lot of trust issues as a female getting anything on my car done or fixed I find that I'm constantly looked at as naive and get taken advantage of. If I could put 0 stars I would, but there's 100 other places you could go to take your vehicle. First off, I was promised to be the "first" appointment of the day and was told to arrive at 10:30 am. I get there and there is already a line of people waiting to turn their keys in and get their vehicles tinted. Then I proceed to have to wait until 2 pm to finally get my truck back, and to top things off they forgot to tint the brow on the windshield. I asked for 5% tint on all the back windows and on the rear windows, the genius tint person decides to put a 25% film and I even told the guy up at the front that it was not 5%. I had to come back to get it re done AND IT IS STILL NOT 5%. Overall, they focus on quantity over quality and are just a really bad business. $350 down the drain and I am already looking at other tints places. I received a gift certificate for my Birthday in March to get my car windows tinted. I called mid April to get some information over the phone since it had been several years since I had a car tinted and wanted to know if there was anything I needed to do before hand- I spoke to Brian who was super friendly and said no, just come on in! I told him I would call back to schedule and decided to schedule online and see if there was a Sat opening since I had a hair appt on Sat and realized they were on the same road just 20 min apart. I set up an appt online for 1:30 on Sat the 15th. I got there super early and sat in my car till about 1:15 then went in, I saw a few people in and out while sitting and one waiting in the lobby. The guy that helped me was Mike, he charged me for the back window that was not included which I was told about and showed me the difference in tint with a heat lamp, I decided to upgrade, because you know, Texas Heat! The only thing I will say is that it took forever. I was warned about 2 maybe 3 hours but it actually took 4 hours. I am new to TX so I had to stay there- I understand they are less busy during the week so if you can go then, I would have had to take a day off of work so Saturday worked out. There was a nail place in the same plaza so I got a pedicure and actually they were busy too so it took longer which worked in my favor. There is also a restaurant in the plaza too if interested. The work looks really really good! I am very pleased with it. I was told to not roll down my windows for 48 hrs and to give the bubbles if any a week to go away. I work from home and actually have not looked at it closely but I will soon, but from a distance, great great work! I totally recommend. Mike also made sure to give me updates. I thought maybe I misread the Groupon so I went back to make sure no where on the Groupon not even in the fine print does it say back window not covered. For the price of the Groupon and the back window I could have just paid someone to come to my house for the same price or possibly even cheaper. I also had a 2:15 appointment and it took over 4 hours for them to finish. I wish I was lying, but I'm not. This is an unprofessional business. Avoid avoid avoid. I would love the owner to give me a call. The couple behind us that walked in with a 2:15 appointment ended up leaving at 5:45 because they haven't even started their vehicle. 3.5 hours later. SMH Also, have taken 4 of our previous vehicles to tint world and I was in and out within 45 minutes. Tried to save a little money with a Groupon deal, huge mistake. Responding to the owners response. You may be very busy on Saturday's, but the problem is you are over booking. There is no excuse for when someone drops there car off at 2:15 and 3.5 hours later it's still hasn't even been started. Over booking is your problem. I had an initial meeting with the salesperson who was attentive and responsive to my concerns. That all changed after I'd paid! The installed window was cloudy. However, I was assured that it would clear up in two to three weeks. It's been a month, with no improvement in window cloudiness. Several phone calls went unanswer. No replies from voicemails and no response with texting. So I drove there, explained what my issue was, and was assured that, by the Salesperson, he would address those issues in 5-10 minutes. Half an hour later, I'm still waiting for him to acknowledge me. I left without a satisfactory resolution. One hundred percent would not recommend. On December 19th I called First Class Window Tinting to purchase a tint package for my wife for Christmas. I spoke with Bryan and after discussing how awful her current tint job was and discussing several options for purchase, I was quoted $238.17 and paid over the phone with my credit card. On January 5, my wife and I dropped the car off at 10:00 am and she received a call at 10:51 stating that there was an additional removal fee and that it needed to be taken care of before they could proceed. And here we are at the first major complaint I have about this establishment and this transaction. The removal fee should have been included in the original quoted price. Bryan and I discussed how bad the current tint was so he knew that there was currently tint on the car. It is not my job to ask the salesperson if removal is included (especially since it had been discussed!). It is the job of the salesperson to bring up and then discuss removal as part of the entire tinting process. I have never had an after-market tint job before so this whole process was new to me. And why did no one walk out to inspect the car at drop-off? This should be part of the intake process and would also add to the company's professionalism, as well as helping to avoid problems like this one. Lastly, they should not have called my wife to talk about the car. I understand this was a simple mistake but it just added to the shit show that this was becoming. Later that afternoon when I found out she had been called, I called First Class and was very upset about the whole process. Bryan and I did not have a good conversation and in the process of talking, he called me an asshole. THE SALESPERSON, WHO WAS REPRESENTING HIMSELF AS A PROFESSIONAL AND REPRESENTING THE COMPANY, SAID TO ONE OF HIS PAYING CUSTOMERS "WHY ARE YOU BEING SUCH AN ASSHOLE". At this point Bryan mentioned a bad review and when I said I would now write one, he stated that he could no longer finish the job. I no longer wanted First Class Window Tinting to receive my money so I agreed and asked for a full refund which they provided. Instead of trying to salvage the situation, present good customer service skills, maintain a professional image for the company and make some money, and basically just be respectful, he was the opposite of all those things and now the company has a bad review and lost revenue. Bryan's ego and stubbornness was the direct cause. And just for some additional information...before all the trouble occurred, my wife called at 2:31 for a progress report and it turns out that even though they had been given the go ahead for tint removal at 10:55 am, they were going to have trouble finishing by the end of the day because the back window was giving them trouble. To their credit, they did say they would stay past closing if need be. After the job was cancelled at 3:45, we went to pick the car up and found that only 2 windows had been cleared; the back window had not even been started. That means that after 4-plus hours, before the job was cancelled, that they had only managed to remove the tint from TWO windows. Stay away from this business!!!!! Seems like they hire incompetent felons just looking for a quick buck. It should've been a red flag that they only accept cash. I went with them because it was cheaper than everywhere else I called. The ole adage "you get what you pay for" was true in my case. Took my car to get nano-ceramic installed and a couple months later I questioned it due to the poor heat rejection. Took it back and they informed me that it was standard and it "must've just a mistake by the technician." Hard to believe since I was 1 of 3 customers while there. Both times they took wayyyyy longer than they said, in fact, it took all day! To fix the issue, they installed clear ceramic on top of the standard which is extremely lazy, ineffective, and careless work. The heat rejection still sucks which leads me to believe their product is on the lower end. The quality of work is poor to say the least. Several bubbles from debris they failed to remove. The cuts are not precise as some are short (see pics). My car used to have window seal strips in the inside on the entire car and after the work it's all missing. The exterior trim was also damaged. read more
