Tindal Street Press is a Birmingham based book publisher that was first established in 1998. They specialise in fiction written by the region's writers and seem to go out of their way to find new local talent.
What's great for any writer taken under Tindal Street's wing is that they have an enviable national reputation with no less than three Booker prize nominations. What I have learnt recently if the organisation is not for profit and part funder by Arts Council England and also by Birmingham City Council. My involvement of this independent organisation that seeks to find writing taken outside of London and the South East is through their association with Writing West Midlands who organise the Birmingham Book Festival.
Recent books published include the intriguingly titled 'Bring me the Head of Ryan Giggs' by Rodge Glass which has been well received as well as David Belbin's 'They Don't Know.' Both of these are on my reading list and it will be great if people can support the wonderful work that Tindal Street Press do. read more
