Little Earthquake are a teeny tiny theatre company of two - but this doesn't stop them from producing some of Birmingham's most original, thought-provoking and engaging theatre. I've seen most of their shows, and have always massively enjoyed the experience, from the spooky 'The Haunting' to the dark comedy of 'The Premature Burial'. They have a penchant for unearthing unusual stories, and re-telling them in a creative, quirky way that always elicits the active imagination of the audience.
They've been flying the flag for Birmingham theatre since 2005 - when Creative Director Gareth Nicholls took the brave and uncommon step to leave London and set up a theatre company in Birmingham - rather than the other way round. Which is good, as Birmingham's theatre scene would have missed out on a lot, otherwise. He joined forces with Executive Director Philip Holyman, and together they have successfully created, produced and toured five shows across the UK and beyond.
