Tin City is not a destination spot in the sense of "I MUST go to Naples and see Tin City!", but if you're already planning a trip to Naples, it is. At least it was for us, and I'm glad we stopped in. It's 2 buildings with shops that sell everything from basic junk you can get anywhere (like beanie babies and other stuffed animals), to nice souvenirs and imported Italian food stuffs. Our main goal was to visit Mon Key Buntz, which we did, but also to shop and grab dinner. You could be in and out within an hour if you do some light perusing, or you could make a morning or afternoon of it if you choose to do some hardcore shopping and dining. Tin city is a highly recommended tourist attraction for Naples. However, I can only equate it to a touristy flea market. It is a lot of shops with beach ware, sweatshirts, and trinkets. I'd say, the whole thing can be observed in about half an hour. If you're in the mood for shopping, maybe an hour. There are 2 large restaurants located at the end of each building Crabbys and Riverwalk (I reviewed this already). One place I didn't get a chance to check out was the monkey bread shop- which smelled divine. When I was there both the wine shop and olive oil shop were closed (I would've liked to visit these). Overall, contrary to most Guides-To-Naples, I wouldn't center Tin City as a destination, rather if you're passing it while driving, take a stop. read more

I walked around with a stroller. There are 3 buildings. You could get in and out of the buildings with no issues since they are wraps. But a lot of the actual shops do not have a ramp to enter and leave so I was limited walking into stores to shop around. It would be nice if they advertise or had something in there to let patrons know. read more

This is definitely a great place to go to during the summer heat. It's a cute inside shopping, and dining area. I would definitely recommend the Monkey Bread shop. The monkey bread and iced coffee were both tasty. The souvenir shops had cute items to purchase. The winery had some taste testers and the lady was helpful and nice. The Tin City Slice had a delicious Italian roll that was filled with meat and cheese. That was very reasonable and oh so good. read more

I was in Naples, Florida for four months this past winter and took one day out to visit Tin City with my sister and niece. I have been there before and it is a great place to go shopping, have lunch or dinner, or just plain have fun visiting all the unique shops. We went into this particular high class women's clothing shop called Back of the Bay. I had a lot of fun choosing a few items between a couple dresses, summer shorts, and a few other tops to go with it all. The service I received was exceptional, and I knew I was getting what I wanted for the money I decided to spend. In other words, I just let myself go and it was well worth my time and money. At the same time, it was one of the most enjoyable times I had shopping during my whole time of 4 months in Florida. We also did have lunch at one of Tin City's outdoor cafés and it was enjoyable and very comfortable. The food and service there were also great too. I would not hesitate to go back to see what else I could find myself interested in all of Tin City's numerous shops! read more

I loved Tin City! It is a tad kitschy? Yes! But it has a lot of local character and charm! You need places this around! There are various buildings you go in an and out with a vintage vibe, off the water! Lots going on - they have many souvenir shops to get gifts, fun restaurants, ice cream places. You can get in various cruises right near the shops. Fun, lively place, lots to do - shop, eat, get on a short local cruise, grab an ice cream! You can stay as much or as little as you want. Decent parking (free), clean restrooms, nice customer service. It was fun browsing around and shopping here! read more

Great spot for Naples souvenirs! It has the local charm feel to it. It's an indoor place for shops and river view eateries. This place is excellent for cheap souvenir shopping such as tshirts, magnets and beach themed items like sea shell xmas ornaments and sandcastles and figurines apparently made from beach sand! The shoppes that attracted me were the gift shops that sell unique gift items for the homes. Also the Mon"key" bread shop. The restaurants have the view overlooking boats and the water. They also offer cruise boat trips if you want. They had a sign for some key lime pie but I didn't know where to find it I was assuming perhaps in one of the restaurants. They had unique items here from wood plaques for your home that says naples or marco island to bath bombs that smelled so good. I was close to buying a boho inspired apple watch band but I also looked at Amazon for a similar piece and it costs less than what I saw at the gift shop. The AC here is excellent but there were areas where it was warm. Bathrooms here are clean but there is one area where you pass by it and it STINKED. They have 2 areas for restrooms. Staff here are nice and friendly. I was wanting to buy the monkey bread bundt cakes before heading home but I figure maybe next time around. They smelled divine! Parking here is decent they also offer shaded parking which is a plus for this FL heat. Parking is free. I would def come back here again on another road trip. read more

Almost didn't come here because of these negative reviews about the stores located at Tin City. Yes there are a couple of kitschy trinket shops but the majority are not. There are some nice clothing and jewelry stores located here. There are also a couple of restaurants located in the complex if you get hungry. Overall a decent stop when visiting Naples. You will find some decent priced souvenirs here compared to the prices on 5th avenue. read more

If you know me, you know I loves me some quirky. Even a little kitschy. But this place is just an overall disappointment. Oh, these shops are trying, but really a mish mash of shops without much appeal, some of which, yes, I'm going to say it, verge on tacky. The best thing and ONLY thing I bought was a seashell identifying guidebook. I passed on the tshirts with manufactured rips in them that changed colors in the sunlight, weirdly handcrafted skull candles and candy supply shops that looked like they were housing dusty museum pieces. Our family stopped to check it out. It's a hit and miss. Some of the apparel we got was so low quality the screen print came off the next day. I met a friend here as Naples was a good halfway point for both of us and reviews said they had local owners and we love to support local. However, I have to say we were a bit disappointed. No store we saw really gave off a local goods type of feel at all. We looked in a couple of beachy decor stores that seemed to sell mostly items from China... one of the metal wall art pieces was exactly what I had purchased a year ago in Tarpon Springs at one of their stores...can I mention it also rusts easily and required a new paint job in less than a year despite many coats of Rustoleum clear coat. I know better now. We looked at a cute tropical clothing store and while the dresses seemed reasonably priced the styles were not what we were looking for. We glanced in the soap, candle and wine shops but since we did not need any, we did not look closely at prices. Some stores we came across the owner would chain across the entrance way with a sign saying back in 5 minutes but if you are doing a once over you are not typically going to back track for one particular store. One store... the oil one never opened despite us passing it twice during our time there. We came across a store in the open that looked like it was a classroom. I was hoping there would be more boardwalk along the water to walk with maybe benches to enjoy the view and chat but the only place to sit was at one of the restaurants which we did end up doing and it ended up being an okay lunch meal there. Not spectacular but pretty good. I would stop in again if they added stores that sold locally sourced items from other areas of Florida... sponges or soaps from Tarpon Springs, metal items from ?, pottery from the keys (there is a cute pottery store off the main road there), etc. I bet there are lots of local goods across FL that would sell there easily if people were only visiting the Naples area. What they have there currently, though, I probably would not stop in again. Restrooms were clean and we stopped at 2 different ones. Free parking was nice and, yes, shaded parking was a plus if you were lucky enough to snag one of those parking spaces. AC was very nice inside....a nice retreat from the humidity. We loved the concept and the history of the place. It has lots of potential but needs a change of inventory at some of the shops to be a real standout. read more

There are so many awesome things to do in Naples, and Tin City is one that is on many tourist lists but I would skip it. Very cutesy looking from the outside, looks like a flea market with vintage vibes. Inside is a bunch of commodity-style souvenir shops and only a few restaurants, which didn't seem that great. The one highlight was a Bundt cake / fudge shop. It was a combination of monkey bread / Bundt cake and came in a bunch of different flavors. I absolutely love this place I have since I was a young kid. It's just so much fun to go here. There are so many wonderful shops and places to investigate and little treasures to find. You can get yourself an absolutely wonderful meal and it's located down by the water. It's so beautiful and everyone here is so friendly and I have to say even the prices are good. read more

This place is one of the coolest shop place I visited while I was in Florida. My sister that lives in Florida suggested that we go to Tin City. I had no idea what to expect, but we decided to give it a go. Tin City has these buildings that are marked with a number and inside each building there are shops that are owned by small businesses and locals. We went into building 1 and saw this massive shop with super cool shells and souvenirs. We also saw a seating next to a food place that served delicious icecream. We decided to get some and it was really good! They had shops for souvenirs such as shirts and sweatshirts with Florida on them. They had a cute shop with bath bombs and an amazing deal. They had quite a few shops that sold decor and other items. We saw some super cute beachy items. One of my all time favorite shops was this candle one we found. They handmake all the candles in shop and the entire thing is wax. We saw a super awesome Adventure Time one that we really wanted to buy. Unfortunately, we were not near her house and we were being picked up to go to the beach for several hours. The woman working thete suggested we do not get one if we were going to leave it in the car for a few hours due to the heat. We were going to see if we could come back the next day but we were leaving two days later and had no time. If I do come back, I will definitely buy a candle. They had a lot of other cool items that were handmade in shops, and we even saw a crystal shop. They did have some restaurants as well. One of the shops told us that there is a type of tram car that can take you to the beach nearby and shops for free. She gave us a number to call if we needed a ride because we told her we had ubered here. All of the shop owners were super friendly and inviting. We definitely had a great time and I would come again for those candles! read more

If your looking for a touristy place to buy souvenirs then this is your place. It has 2 sides to it. On one sides they have small outdoor shops and little bars and on the other side there are small shops in a closed in wooden area. Souvenirs are quite expensive for what the area looks like... ex. $70.00 for a naples hoodie. Either way if your looking for a nice place to window shop and buy souvenirs then this is your place, other then that nothing crazy to see. read more

Chris and I stopped at this shopping complex to explore and look for dining options on the waterfront and book a boat cruise. The complex is charming and free parking is available at two adjacent lots but can be challenging. The structure is fun and has charm however the actual shops are "touristy" and lack local quality products. There are multiple t-shirt shops, trinkets shops, a soap shop with expensive soap and lotion plus a wine shop with primarily sweet wines made from various fruits. The restaurants are decent options with waterfront views and generic food offerings to please families. If it's raining and you have kids, this is a decent place to kill time indoors. You can book boat tours, catamaran sail tours, and boat rentals from the on-site tour company which is convenient. It's not a "destination " to aspire visiting when there are so many other fun places to visit in Naples. We would visit again on a rainy day or if we just happened to be nearby. read more

I love the historic, old Florida charm of Tin City. This area has served as the gateway to the waterways of the area since it was used in the 1500's by the Native Americans, the Calusa, who fished and shelled in the area, leaving behind their clamshell deposits. The late 1800's, the first two white settlers, Roger Gordon and Joe Wiggins came to the area and set up camp. Tourists, snow birds, and investors began coming to the area and a 600 foot pier was built into the Gulf of Mexico. In the 1920's the railroad reaches Naples bringing even more people to the area. Tin roofed buildings were built along the water front to process oysters, shell clams, and build boats. This is where a fleet of fishing boats would dock. Tin City became the transportation hub of Naples. In the 1970's seven of the old Tin City buildings were turned into The Old Marine Marketplace. Today Tin City contains 30 boutiques, 2 restaurants, an ice cream parlor, and boat tours. Tin City is like a maze but it is easy to find what you want because all of the shops are clearly marked on the outside of the building. Inside Tin City you will find clothing, jewelry, art, gifts, crafts, antiques, and food. A lot of the items are coastal and tropical. Tin City is where the Naples Soap Company got it's start. I love all of the nods to history placed all over Tin City. A ship's wheel hangs in one area while historic photos hang on several walls. Besides shopping and eating you can also book boat tours here. I look forward to coming back on my vacation and trying one of the restaurants and going on a sunset of dolphin cruise. Tin City is geared to the tourists but even if you are a local it is always fun to play like one for a day. read more

I will be honest. When I saw these reviews and heard the reputation of this place, I just had to go. Only problem is that almost all of it was destroyed by the recent hurricane. In all honesty I was able to walk around and see how cool it was but could not take in the whole thing. I think once they finish the reconstruction it will be back to amazing. The restaurant looked very packed and the two stores inside were cute and worth peaking into. I look forward to the future of this place and coming back to enjoy. read more

Tin City had a really neat, eclectic combinations of shops. Everything from FL souvenirs to ice cream to an oil & vinegar store, and more! We definitely enjoyed the variety of stores under one roof. Jewelry stores from the real thing to beautiful costume pieces. A great wine store where you can taste the wine. They have many fruity flavors and you can have the ones you love mailed home. A fudge shop with lots of sweet treats. A magicians store with all the tricks you need to fool your friends. A beautiful art shop with one of a kind pieces. Several stores that sell nick nacks and souvenirs. There are a couple nicer sit down restaurants, Pinchers and Riverwalk. An ice cream stand for dessert. Tin City is a complex of three buildings that is home to over thirty shops, boutiques, two waterfront restaurants and a winery~all under a tin roof. Most of the shops are locally owned and operated, which I think is just awesome. Known as a tourist trap, I did find most of the prices to be fair. I'm sure during season the prices are higher. Being it's off season the stores are all slow which is probably why the great sales! The shop owners/employees were all very nice and super friendly, so no pushy sales people around here. I had a good lunch at Pinchers (separate review) and we had fun just walking around for a little while. Hey, anything to get out of the heat/rain right?!? The buildings are old and not in the best shape so I feel that after all of these years some upgrading is needed. Tin City is a good place to escape the hot Florida heat, do a little shopping, grab a meal or perhaps a wine tasting or just get an ice cream and take a walk around the shops. read more

I visited here this past Tuesday during a visit to Naples. Parking was no issue. I actually enjoyed browsing through some of the shops here. Several had unique pieces that were handmade or hand painted. The people working in the shops were very friendly. The wine shop let's you taste a few fruity wines and they actually have a good selection. They also ship their wines. I did grab some homemade ice cream from the ice cream stand. It was very tasty. I ordered the banana ice cream that had nuts and chocolate chips in it. I would visit Tin City again if I were in the area. read more
