Corn--not good ( I would remove from menu)

We went without a reservation on Xmas eve. Tin box was recommended by a local. Suchi and slow cooked meats don't typically go together and here they are actually separate kitchens. We were seated right away with friendly staff . We ordered fruit juice (mango and watermelon) and got them right away. They were excellent and super cold (maybe too much ice and not enough drink). Boxsalad--one of the few salads we saw on a menu in the island. It was outstanding. Fresh greens and perfectly toasted pine nuts and a mango vinaigrette. We don't eat a lot suchi but we thought both the rainbow rolls and Buddha rolls were solid. BBQ platter-ribs were outstanding!!! Mac and cheese was okay, I would not order again. Slaw was good and pulled pork was great. Corn is a hard no. Chicken was okay (best we've had in the island). Pork taco plate was very good. Excellent tacos, and fries were solid We would definitely return!

This place is a vibe! Loved it. Sushi and calamari were on point (and I'm picky, having lived in Japan) and staff were super friendly. Wish we had time to go back more than once! Ambiance and food were well worth the slightly more expensive prices. The two of us spent $62 on one appetizer, two sushi rolls, one mocktail, and tip.

Had Christmas day 2024 dinner here. Cozy atmosphere, outside but covered dining. Decent sushi (rolls were rice heavy compared to what we're used to back home in NJ). Good BBQ. It was a long wait for the sushi but it was a beautiful warm night and allowed our family to talk and spend quality time together.

Tin Box is an experience. It has those "island vibes" on the drive in, the open air seating, and the mountain/ garden setting. Odd combination of sushi and BBQ menus, along with 10 or so cocktail options. The drinks were pretty good but not as strong as some places we've been, at $10 each. Bacon appetizer was a good choice. Bacon on the thicker side with some good sauce that made the lettuce below taste great too. Sushi- el gordito tempura battered roll was very good. Hearty amounts of wasabi and ginger with chopsticks and small bowls for soy sauce made this a great sushi experience. BBQ- trio platter with chicken, ribs, and pulled pork. All good. Not the best bbq ever but solidly good, and I wished we had some sauce to add ourselves, but I imagine it's the best bbq you are getting on the island. The southern slaw was refreshing. The corn bread was very sweet but good, definitely had a coconut island flavor going on. Hush puppies were dry and could be skipped. All in all this was a good dinner and worked well for my partner and I since I like sushi and he doesn't. Would return for sushi or when we are tired of fish and fried food elsewhere.

Oh my wow! This place has that perfect, open air, island vibe with delicious food and drinks. Very kind staff and the food came out pretty quick as well compared to most spots on the island. If I lived here I would probably be a regular at this spot.

I had the watermelon margarita and my fiancé had a fresh raspberry cocktail and both were outa-sight!

We opted for an order of two bbq porkchops with a side of white rice and habichuelas. Chops were tasty although a tad hard to cut. Rice and beans very good. Pleasure to be in an air conditioned venue after walking up and down from Krustys to Zacos and back again. It's small, no atmosphere, but the food was decent. This place had locals trickling in and was packed by the time we were forks deep into our meal. We ordered the 1/2 lb. BBQ chicken, beef broth rice, sweet plantains and yuca. SO GOOD! The chicken was juicy and full of flavor, rice was cooked perfectly with a beef rib in it, plantains were sweet and savory & yuca had a garlic flavor combo that made it the best yuca I have had to date! If only we had found this place before our last night in Culebra, we would have probably eaten here 2+ times a day here. Prices & food are an amazing value!! Oh and try the pique sauce, it's a local hot sauce at the front counter - it pairs very well with their plates.
