He was so nice and said we could come on down to the shop. We got the spare put on really fast thanks to some nice gentlemen with power tools and a full-sized jack. We got down there and chatted with Jon. He said they'd have it fixed up and give me a call when it was done. He was so incredibly nice and personable. We went and grabbed lunch. He did call, but my service was shotty and he also sent a text. So, less than 2 hours and he had a beautiful used tire on her car and it was so incredibly well-priced. I don't think you can beat the service, time, and money spent to be honest especially with nice people. I can't say enough good things especially when he could have very well price-gouged, knowing people are in a pinch in that area. Good people.

Highly recommended and if I need service in the area again he will be my first stop.

My car decided to just stop in the beginning of an off ramp to 93N. Yup, not a great place to get stuck. So the great local police came to my rescue and called these guys. Little did I know that my co-pilot put there foot on the safety button hidden on the passenger side. Ford has this little button, so when you get hit you will not burst in to flames if the gas tank gets hit. And when you hit that button the car STOPS. The engine just shuts off. So these guys did not charge me for looking at the car. I thought that was cool. Seeing mechanics have such a bad rap for trying to hustle people for things they don't need. I can say there are a few good and honest mechanics left.

The problem was a bit of a mystery, after Ray had tried all the basic stuff (fuel pump, relays, etc) and took a lot of work to resolve. Ray showed up very quickly, brought parts, tried some stuff, bought a few more parts, tried a few more things and... after some more parts-buying and stuff-trying (keeping us in the loop the entire time about why he was doing this or that thing and giving us the option to not keep going) he was able to fix the problem, explain what he fixed in simple terms, and give us "things to look out for" as my partner drove home. He made it home with no issues! Ray's prices were super reasonable considering he was doing the work on a Sunday afternoon in the road in front of my house. He was tenacious about getting to the bottom of things and his knowledge of cars is encyclopedic. Really good communicator, friendly guy, I would absolutely use him again for anything from routine work to something more complex.

Steve Chiocca is the owner of the business and is the guy you'll get on the phone when you call. I first went to this garage because everyone I asked in the area recommended him. Both times I called, I had to book the appointment a week or more in advance as he has a very busy shop. After the first service I saw why. Steve is very thorough with his diagnostics and doesn't try to fix things that aren't broken. He says what he's going to do and he does what he says. He doesn't over state what needs to be done and works within your budget. He also gives you an idea what future issues may be on the horizon so you can plan for the repairs. Both times I had work done there, I was pleasantly surprised with my bill. He listens to you and will present you with options on how to go about the work. He is not one of those guys that just throws more and more parts at the problem in a hit or miss approach. Steve does repairs not just parts replacements. I had a windshield wiper issue. A connection to the wiper arm had broken and it could easily have been another $200.00 to replace the components. He actually took time and repaired the connection as opposed to ordering the whole assembly. I didn't have to beg for him to keep the costs down. His approach to his work has his customers' best interests in mind. His garage is the place to go for sure. He's very knowledgeable and he even remembers your name... with a year between services. Greats job Chiocca's!

While waiting in the waiting room, I overheard an employee sticking up for one of their customers regarding a price quote he got from what sounded like a part distributor. The Forrest Howes' employee was respectfully pushing back and felt this was not right for the customer and the distributor should not do this as he was previously quoted a lesser price. I couldn't tell the details of the conversation, but it just made me feel like the place could be trusted and had integrity. It's always nice to see a business truly value their customers. It was reassuring to witness as I'm not from the area and needed a mechanic.
