The inside has such a cool relaxed music studio vibe, I think I spent most of the time walking around and checking everything out from the different rooms to all of the awesome artwork on the walls. I even love their giant wall where all the kids sign and doodle on it! When we arrived, one of the owners welcomed us and gave us a tour. I love that they have glass doors so you can see other students practicing everything from drums, to bass, to singing! As much as you'd think all of the noise could be a bit much, I actually found it relaxing and liked hearing all the different instruments. My daughter's singing coach (Cale) was very patient and kind and she left even more excited to join than when we arrived. When we left, the receptionist gave us a flyer with the pricing and class options for my daughter's age - I thought it was a bit steep at first, but it includes 8 classes a month - 2 a week - 1 one on one session for 30 minutes and 1 group lesson for an hour and a half. Everyone there was so nice and you can tell the coaches/teachers love their job and what they can offer to these kids! The coaches offer everything from bass, guitar, drum, singing, and even keyboard/piano. They also offer summer camps, workshops and they even have the kids put on concerts! We will definitely be joining soon and I can't wait to see where School of Rock takes my daughter's confidence! Check them out!

Not only did Ms. Debbie provide amazing foundational skills in music reading, piano repertoire skills, and overall playing skills, but more importantly, she made me love music and playing piano. She prepared me amazingly for the MTAC's Certificate of Merit piano testing from Levels 2 to the advanced level (Level 10), resulting in outstanding performances in all of the levels I participated in! More than anything though, Ms. Debbie instilled the discipline of practice, a keen eye for detail, and musical expression that very few teachers would be able to inspire in students. Thank you so much for your years of support, motivation, and patience Ms. Debbie!!

I'm not at all commenting about the likely wonderful work and repairs. I was hoping to get advice on what to look for in a violin. What wood, what features, what to avoid, what separates price points. I did say that as well. I was shown a violin and told that it was $560. Ok. Then I was shown one that was $720. Then 2 more in about the $1.500 range. Oooook, sooooo..... What was special? What are the differences? No information offered. I went in looking to walk out with a violin. Just ended up walking out. Disappointed for having driven in traffic to be there at a quiet time. I guess it's online for me, as much as I prefer shopping locally. Was it my sweatpants? Maybe I didn't look the part.

Two weeks later when expected to picked up he says he doesnt have the nut and still needs to order it. Sure, I wait another week. Picked up my guitar to see very poor workmanship. The nut slot heights are not only not cut to my specifications that I requested. G string was cut too way too low compared to rest. But also the new nut has gaps all over the place and does not sit full bearing within the slot. It's a combination of maybe not cleaning out any existing glue or not filing the seat level. He said I was giving him anxiety by my expectations of good workmanship. In response I said im going to call this work order a loss, im swallowing the loss of ~$170 and i'll take my business elsewhere. It is not right if he is accepting this nut as the best he has to offer as workmanship and not fixing what is to be expected. Photos attached.

I called them back later that day and the next day, the manager did not bother to get on the phone with me but was relaying messages to Megan on the phone. They assured me they would be calling me back. The next day. I received a text message letting me know it would be six more weeks and the manager would update me. I had yet to talk to a manager or receive an apology. I texted back that it was unacceptable since they already had it 6 weeks and they lost it. They said they would try to get it done as soon as possible. Two weeks later I was informed the manager would be picking up the instrument and would contact me. A week later Gabe contacted me and was very apologetic for the situation. This was the first apology that I had received. Gabe is the reason this review got one star. He went above and beyond to apologize, communicate and called me more than once. I did get the instrument back. However, when I went to go pick it up, Megan acted like she did not want to help me or recognize that I was in the store. I paid over $300 to have the instrument fixed and my daughter informed me not all the pads were replaced. Very disappointed in this music store and the customer service received. I will be using a different music store in the future

This is high end local shop and it was recommended by Fender as a place to get great service. I dropped it off early July and was told i would get it back around early August. No big deal to me I was in no rush. Its not a large location (located in a small strip mall). The shop is very nicely kept but all the guitars have string locks on them so there is no casual picking up guitars here. They have a great selection. I went by today to pick up my guitar and paid $90 for the tune-up and presumably a new set of strings, which I was told would be replaced. I got home and plugged in and in less that 5 minutes of playing my fingers were black from the strings! The strings had a weird feel to them I don't know what brand they use but it would not be a brand I would purchase. In previous setups at other shops the tech would always ask what type of strings i would like to have as replacements... this was not offered; my mistake for not specifying but considering it was a higher end i was guessing they would use better strings... Some of my frets are still rough so I don't know why they were skipped. The action itself did not appear to have been worked on at all... Overall, this was not a stellar experience here. My search for a tech goes on... word to the wise.... make a written list of what you want done if you have your guitar worked on here...

He has such a calm spirit and really has a natural way of teaching. He also has an excellent musical education and background. Our son keeps improving his skills and we owe that to his experience at Music Lab. He also took an interest in guitar and bass. He first started on guitar and then moved to bass lessons. His bass teacher is also incredible. I think he could play and teach just about any instrument. He is very calm and intentional with his lessons. He is another good fit for our son. One of our favorite things about Music Lab, beyond the lessons, are the semi-annual music showcases that they put on for their students and their guests. It's the perfect way to showcase the students' new skills and highlight their growth through the years. The owners, teachers, and staff are all so supportive. Music Lab also puts on great summer camps with fun and talented teachers. Last year, our son did intermediate drum camp, and this year, he tried a musical theater camp. I love that there are so many areas for him to expand his talents! I even got brave and took voice lessons. My teacher was very patient and talented. I learned so much and improved my skills, too. I can't say enough good things about our experience at Music Lab!
