They ended up…read morecharging $901 dollars they put in a pressure relief valve that retails for around $60 tops and takes 5 minutes to put in charged $205. Also installed pressure tank $241. Charged $150 to show up and $239 to do what was the only thing needed a filter, screen, and nozzle. After the boiler immediately stopped running they called the usual boiler professional who was familiar with system who had to redo the yearly maintenance they had done and stated there was no need for relief valve or pressure tank. The person renting is a single mother with 3 young kids who would sign off on anything they recommended. The company would not budge an inch on their over inflated bill. I would never recommend this company!

I called E&V to tell them the thermostat they installed 30 days ago was not working properly, and I was told by the service department and the overall manager that the owner BANNED us from service due to me sending a letter to the Attorney General asking for help due to the overprice of $600.00 to install the thermostat. We had another HVAC Company come and check the thermostat. The thermostat was bad, due to the E&V Technician wiring the thermostat wrong, and improperly rearranged the wiring from the thermostat at the furnace. I called E&V back to tell them what the problem was. Again, they said we were banned from service and assistance. Once again I submitted an update to the Attorney General asking for assistance in getting a refund. By the way, the HVAC Company only charged us only $179.00 for installing the new thermostat and fix the wiring at the furnace.

Technician came out and looked at the water heater, told me there were other issues to fix before he would do anything with the water heater and left. Total time in my house was less than 5 minutes and he never even touched the water heater or mentioned a bill or asked for payment. 14 days later I get a bill for $70 in the mail and when I called the owner was belligerent and informed me that nothing was for free. I explained I expect to pay when something is actually done (ie. he starts the job and can't complete etc.) or if informed up front that there is a service call fee. I pointed out that the website states they give free estimates before any work is done. Owner told me that it doesn't apply in my case and he will just send me to collection if I refuse to pay. I continued to try and explain my case and he hung up on me because he was busy and didn't have time to deal with me. I will not be using them again and I would caution anyone else to not use them because there are other options in the area. Derouin's is not that special contrary to what the owner might think.

My water heater and boiler are around 2 years old and i've NEVER had problems with them. I hire De Rouins to do an annual inspection on my boiler, next week the blower goes out. Have them come fix it for a large price tag, the next DAY my water heater goes out. Call me paraniod, but that's just too coincidental. I should have supervised them to make sure they weren't damaging my stuff.

I debated on whether or not to respond to this business owner. Some of his statements are…read morecompletely false. I had absolutely no idea our unit wasn't purchased from his business, but on the "marketplace". I don't know what that is. I never once went to his home and picked up the unit. I signed a contract, we had a date for the install, he came on the date - bringing the unit with him, and installed it. We shut it down for the winter and when we started it back up the following spring, it would only blow out warm air. Jim did come down to our home in June of that year with a temporary fix. He had to order a part , said it would be in quickly, and would be back to fix it. We never heard back so I messaged him several times. I was told he was working on a huge job and couldn't get to it just then. I waited a while and messaged him again. I was then told his family had suffered the devastating effects from the hurricane last year and he was helping them. I still have the messages I replied to him with stating my concern for them and to take care of his family. This spring rolls along and I messaged and called him with no reply. It wasn't until I placed this negative review on yelp that he finally came and fixed it. At no cost. Of course it's at no cost. He told us last year it was covered under warranty. Would not recommend.
