I'm a new customer at Tim's and originally came in for service on a .22 semi-auto pistol and was immediately impressed by the friendliness and knowledgeability of the new proprietor - Kent. I told him of my need to adapt to shooting with the middle finger on my right hand because of weakness there that has developed over the years (I'm 73). First, I wanted to find a new gun store besides (Turner's) and I found Tim's Gun Shop. Went in on a Tuesday and instantly was helped unlike Turner's, just need my new ar15 compensator torqued to spec and they had it done fast and efficient. When I collected my ar15 I had a problem with the bolt carrier. Callled the shop and Kent answered, told him I had a problem with the bolt carrier. Kent told me he'll fix it on the spot and went back to the store the same hour and had it fixed in couple of minutes flat. Will be returning to the shop. read more

The staff Kent and Luis are very nice and helpful gentlemen showing me how to field-strip and clean my gun, helping me with my paperwork and everything. Rae and Tim were both so helpful! As a first time gun buyer, they were patient with me and let me ask lots of questions. They never made me feel like a dummy for being new. I assured them I planed to take lessons and get proper training, because it was obvious I didn't fully know my way around a firearm. Went in for gunsmith work on my 1911 - needed a gold bead to be drilled and installed on the front sight. With so many projects that Tim had, he was still able to complete mine in a timely manner. This place has a really good selection of firearms and accessories. It's bright and VERY clean, which is a nice change compared to some of the more rustic shops out there. I went in looking for a rail riser for an AR. They didn't have it in stock, but they did have a very good collection of other similar, niche accessories that would rival a big box store like Bass Pro. In typical gun shop fashion, the staff is a bit condescending. Seems to come with the territory. However, after a bit of talking, the walls come down and it's quite clear everyone is genuinely nice. While I didn't get the riser I wanted, I did get a good education on various weapons and found a good spot for used firearms. read more

These guys have a great selection! From Benelli M4s to Stripped lowers. The help is knowledgeable and i enjoyed talking to them. They only get 4 stars because of their high prices. $75 + $25 dros to do work as an FFL is absolutely ridiculous, $585 gen 3 glock 19s is very high too. This is a small store that is HUGE on service and selection...New and used at prices , in some cases, $100 lower than others The personal service and warmth was outstanding. I bought a GREAT GUN and had to jump through all the state BS tests,A letter from Jesus, Permission from the ACLU. And promise to vote for Gavin Newsome. Within 45 min they gave me the test the safety card, made out all the forms and checked me out on the weapon.... It was fun to be a customer at Tims and they were fun too like they mad me feel like a life long customer..valued and appreciated..... Wow Rude? Condescending?
