Honestly, reviews here don't reflect my experience at all. I have rented around 10 times from them. They have been more than fair and reasonable, and the tools are good quality. They've given in-store credit for problems that weren't their fault, tried to meet my needs, even when they are last minute, and their pricing is fair and competitive. Maybe it's because I call and communicate with them clearly, so there haven't been any misunderstandings. Thanks Timp! Happy customer here for sure. read more

They have a lot of rental equipment that in truth is too expensive to buy, but when you do need it they have it for rent. Besides it's equipment you don't need to own being the amount you'd use it . Don't is better to rent read more

Rented dozens of times and always have had a positive experience. Always willing to work with these guys

I can appreciate people having strong views and real, or perceived slights and problems. It's really killed the total rating. I don't understand it. The few times I've rented equipment and vehicles, I've had nothing but positive experience. I've rented Saturday afternoon, and returned things by 8am Monday and had no issues with extra billing. The vehicles have been solid and worked well. I can't think of a lot of other things to say. They rent equipment that I've needed. I've used it successfully. The prices have been fair. I'm a very content customer. read more

I was referred to Timp rental for a part for my power washer. My power washer was a Subaru, which didn't have a dealer listed. Ryan(?) Carter looked at my faulty part from the Subaru power washer, and basically fabricated a 3 piece replacement part that works great! Price is reasonable and the service was outstanding! I have used Timp rental before for rental equipment, and have found them to be fair and accurate. Richard V read more

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Timp Rental. I have visited both locations on several occasions and they have been always been a pleasure. It's nice to do business with a family owned and run business that cares about it's customers and employees. read more

The front desk customer service was great in getting me a ionizer for my car. They were very helpful in instructions and tips as well. Support local. Leave a review. :-) read more

Timp Rental has excellent equipment and helpful staff. I have rented many things from them over the years and they have always been top-notch. Their equipment is usually rotated every couple of years, so it is newer, and everything I've used has been well-maintained. Their prices are also competitive, especially considering they have to compete with some "big-box" stores in the area. It is a family-owned business and the owners have always been willing to work things out if there are any issues. I've rented skid steers (Bobcats), excavators, trailers, chain saws, boom lifts, generators, pumps, carpet cleaners, shopvacs, tables, chairs, aerators, pressure washers, stump grinders, weed wackers, leaf blowers, and probably some other things. I have also purchased used equipment, moving supplies, and rented moving trucks from Timp Rental. Overall, my experiences have been really good. I would like to speak to another reviewer's post regarding weekend rentals. If you pick up something Saturday evening before close, and drop it off Monday morning, you can have it for a good part of the weekend (Saturday evening and Sunday) for the price of one day. That's a pretty good deal, especially for things without an hour meter. If you get something with an hour meter, I think you get up to eight hours (one day rental) on the meter, but you still get to use it at your own pace over two days for the price of one. I'm not sure why that user decided to take the equipment for around 72 hours (he picked it up Friday afternoon) and only expected to pay for 24 hours. Of course there was a late fee...probably to cover lost revenues for lost rentals because the customer didn't keep up his end of the bargain to return the equipment Monday morning. Also, if you have problems with equipment (all equipment, no matter how well maintained is subject to problems (whether wear-and-tear or user error), give them a call to work things out! I had a belt come off while I was using a stump grinder. I gave them a call, and they sent someone out to fix it and credited my time for no additional cost because it wasn't my fault. Ok, one more thing. They're also really good at walking you through how to use the equipment if you're not familiar with how something works. The employees are familiar with everything they rent and pretty patient with customers like myself who might be trying something out for the first time. They walked my wife through how to start a chainsaw I asked her to pick up for me, and she came home and started it right up in front of me. We're talking a hard-to-start lumberjack type chainsaw. It was pretty sweet! Anyway, good people, good equipment, good prices. If you've got a question, ask! I'm pretty sure it's in their interest to be helpful and ensure happy customers because they've got a lot of competitors. In any case, Timp Rental is my first choice for equipment rental and has been over the last nine years. read more

I rented a core drill instead of buying a cheap one on Amazon, and was very happy with the results. The drill was much higher quality and a much better value for the money. While it would've been nice to rent for half a day, that wasn't an option because I was getting it over a holiday weekend. The staff are knowledgeable, and trained me on some of the basics of using the tool, even though some of it might not have been too hard to figure out, but it definitely made the job easier. read more

Timp Rental in Orem is my go-to resource for moving anything or doing special projects. They are excellent and I've lived in many cities in the world where you can't find this type of service and range of resources in a one-stop-shop. Thank you for being so good at what you do! read more

These guys have been great for years for me. Always. Just jumped online to get their number for yet another rental and noticed someone gave a bad review and was like "that's ridiculous and petty." These guys have always been fair and professional and helpful. read more

Called two days ahead to rent a dump truck and medium excavator and called before I arrived that morning and told all was there!!!!! Got there and NO MEDIUM EXCAVATOR!!!! They gave me extra hours to make up for the inconvenience of me having to spend MY TIME AND MY GAS to pick up the excavator at their other location. Called later before I was due to bring it back to see what it would cost for an extra half a day. THEY BEGAN TO ARGUE WITH ME ABOUT ME STILL HAVING IT OUT!!! It wasn't due back yet. They said they would call me back----guess what? NO CALL BACK!!!!! guess what? I WON'T BE BACK!!!!!!! I've rented thousands of dollars in equipment and they treat me like crap!!!! Save yourself the aggravation, there are better rental places out there. read more

So grateful to Timp rental for making my eagle project possible. Great equipment and great service.

I've rented a moving truck and a garden tiller from the folks at Timp Rental. Both times I rented it was a good experience. There were no hidden charges. I was happy with the service I received. I felt well taken care of. read more

Friday evening at 4:00pm I walked in the store to rent a floor scraper. I only needed it for 4 hours and they said I could do that and then return it Monday because they close at 5:30pm. They decided to charge me for a full day, but I was okay with that because I was getting it for the weekend and the price was still agreeable. I returned it Monday after work and they tacked on a fee of another day's use because they claimed it was "late". The scraper sucked and I regretted renting it at all, but I'm not reviewing the quality of the tool rented nor the choice of tool, it's their service and how they treat you like dirt. It's too bad because I liked their prices at first, and they seemed so helpful and nice, but when they have your card information they turn into nasty people and don't care at all about you. I will never rent from them again. Home Depot is so much better, and they are not lying sticklers. read more
