I tried to control my Bipolar symptoms for years without success. I tried medication and therapy but nothing seemed to help. I was stuck. Now, a year later on Armour medication, I look forward to the future. I make plans for the future. My kids look happy since I'm always around cooking their favorite foods and we even planted a vegetable garden that has some weird shaped cucumbers growing. And I'm happy my husband didn't divorce me lol, he stayed with me even in this crazy rollercoaster. I'm so thankful for McCall. She listened to me even at my lowest point. Today, I called her office to notify her of his death and to ask her about Texas policy regarding the release of his prescription history, as my family needs this information to decide on whether or not to move forward in exploring joining the class-action against Pfizer for their drug Chantix, which she prescribed to my brother. Not only was there no humanity in her tone or in the content of her dialog, but she didn't have the basic decency of professional etiquette and manners to extend even the most perfunctory: "I am sorry for your loss". Her response to my enquiry? - "I have been told that he passed away but I can't confirm or deny that." (What?) If you are wondering how I can be so sure of her exact words, it's because I recorded the conversation (this, by the way, is legal in NY, provided at least one party is aware of the recording). As an executor of my brother's estate, I've made it a policy to record every conversation I have pertaining to his affairs in order to safeguard myself against any potential legal issues. (I'm not a lawyer and have never done this before, so I decided that this is a good way to keep my records-and my memory-in order.) Then, while trying to make sure I understood the protocol of the release, she interrupted me to say: -"Even though...the person...may be dead...there is a $25 charge for the records, and since the request for the HIPPA compliant release of the records has to be mailed [to me] through certified mail, there is also a $5 charge for [my signature] prior to my releasing the records." -"Ah, okay, and these are your charges [or the state's]?" -"Yes, those are my charges." I then just said "Thank you so much for your help" and hung up. It is just so upsetting that people like this exist -- especially when people like this have been given the honor and responsibility of supporting and monitoring the psychological and neuropsychiatric well-being of clinically depressed individuals. This woman is a disgrace to medicine. Zero compassion, zero professionalism. Someone with so little insight into the psychodynamics of such sensitive and complex circumstances cannot be anything but a threat to the demographic that she alleges to help. Her energy literally borders on psychopathy. Please carefully think it through before deciding on making an appointment with her and review the other complaints about her on other websites. Note: I can and will defend everything I stated here if it is challenged as "defamation". I have the recording and all the evidence proving that everything that I stated as fact, is a fact. There's the main hospital which is quite large, and across the drive is a tall building that houses all of the specialty clinic offices (i.e., cardiology, obgyn, colorectal surgeon, GIs, etc). A complete renovation of the interior was completed during Covid when the clinics were closed. It's all bright, shiny and new, and now all the check in counters are on each side of a very wide long hallway on every floor. I really like all of the physicians and NPs that I see. It has taken me over six years to build my medical team and several of them are part of BSW. My favorite by far is my cardiologist. My least "dreaded" appointment to attend. Would be five stars, but a few things to note: like a few others have said, scheduling can be a bit of a nightmare at times. There's a central line you must call if you are unable to schedule through your patient portal (which is most often the case). I really wish I had the ability to contact each physician's office separately to speak to the schedulers who I personally know. And yes, some specialists are booked months out, sometimes into the following year. The specialty clinics appear to be understaffed. The parking garage is also not very convenient. It is located a little far away, and is not idea for someone with limited mobility. I have an inpatient procedure coming in the future, so I will be able to give an updated review of my experience at that time. Wish me luck!

Although it does take time to get your thyroid balanced, Melody has stuck with me through different levels of healing and metabolic stresses. I've been hypo now for 35 years and started with Melody about three years ago. Most recently, Melody tried to get under why my hair was still falling out when my labs looked good except for ferritin stores. I have grappled with hair loss in years previous, but it would go away when my thyroid balanced and now it's not, so I was really stumped. Melody's remedy was to send me to an oncologist who does iron infusions. After two infusions, I was overtopped but eventually came down within normal range, which shows that I can hang onto iron now, meaning my ferritin anemia was not permanent. I have more energy now too, even with Covid everywhere. I prefer a doc who is less insulated from patients, one who allows email and telehealth meetings. Once you get set up where she is now, Melody is easy to access, quick to respond, and very much a real person after you get to know her. There's not a lot of ego here.

NP Oladosu makes sure to do a complete intake of your history with a series of questions only served to provide the best care while looking at an overall view of your symptoms. She treats all ages and multiple psychiatric disorders including mood, anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia and many more. I appreciate that the visits are via telehealth during these times which makes it convenient to be in the comfort of your own home. My experience was…read moreextremely disappointing, and there are multiple serious red flags for anyone seeking competent, patient-centered care. The telehealth platform itself is poorly designed, confusing, and not user-friendly. When calling, you get the same staff member who is often dry, sarcastic, and unhelpful, regularly telling you to use the online portal instead of actually helping with your concern. As for the provider, Olubunmi Oladosu, she is consistently late to appointments and visibly frustrated by technical issues, problems that are completely normal in telehealth. Sometimes, she doesn't show up at all, and getting a refund for missed sessions is unnecessarily complicated and stressful. During sessions, she asks about your concerns, but her attention clearly seems elsewhere. At the same time, she is rigid and insistent about her methods, refusing to accommodate reasonable patient preferences. She expects appointments every three months for over a year, which felt unnecessary and like a cash grab. She repeatedly pushed anxiety medications despite me clearly stating I wanted to avoid anything potentially addictive. When I returned after six months off medication, she acted as if she had never met me and refused, in a rude manner, to provide a doctor's note for a medical accommodation at my job. The combination of inattentiveness, pushy behavior, and disregard for patient needs makes her practice extremely unprofessional. Frankly, she should consider a different line of work. Sitting in your living room and slapping a white coat over pajamas does not make you qualified for this type of job, and it shows in every interaction. In short: missed appointments, rude staff, lack of patient-centered care, pushy medications, and rigid, inattentive sessions make this practice unworthy of anyone's time or trust. I would not recommend this provider or the telehealth platform to anyone seeking serious psychiatric care.

At my first annual physical with Fagerberg, my bloodwork showed slightly elevated TSH level. No T3 or T4 ordered. Fagerberg diagnosed me with hypothyroidism and put me on too high of a high dose of thyroid meds. I questioned the diagnosis but she insisted I would feel better. The dose was so high that my TSH level fell to zero and I was now diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, with severe symptoms of sleeplessness, hair loss, and quick weight loss. My body became out of whack. I went to an endocrinologist who removed all meds and after three months, did bloodwork and got a new baseline. He put me on a low dose of thyroid meds. I went for bloodwork every two months and he adjusted the thyroid meds for two more years, but I never believed the original diagnosis since there was no thyroid disease in my family history. I also charted my thyroid bloodwork for ten years prior and saw fluctuations that were consistent to what I had seen with bloodwork done by Fagerberg. Two months ago, after consulting with yet another endocrinologist, I stopped the thyroid meds. I got new bloodwork today and all thyroid numbers came in normal. I feel fine and am very glad that I listened to myself and forced the issue. I suffered terribly due to the bad diagnosis, bad treatment, and having to take a medication that not only seriously affects your body, but is difficult to impossible to get off of as it is a drug for life.
