The lady in the front desk was super rude and had an unprofessional attitude towards my family and me. As we waited in the waiting room, my name was called and I wanted my family to come with me. The nurse said, "No one is allowed to accompany him." The nurse was very rude and had a chip on her shoulder. By Florida law, one can bring in a family member to accompany them to a medical room. To not bring up tension, I listened to the mean nurse. My rights were violated and I was so uncomfortable with the walk-in medical appointment. Please, do not come to Sunshine Urgent Walk-in Clinic. I had been struggling for over a year with implant supported dentures that kept breaking and were painful to even wear. I could barely even chew with them and they had cost me over $11,000. The work had been performed in Maine and I just didn't know where to turn now that I was living in Zephyrhills full time. I'd had a horrifying experience with a different dental practice in town that necessitated my need for dentures in the first place so to say I was a bit "gun shy" is putting it mildly. He knew I was traumatized by the entirety of the situation at hand and that he was quite literally my only hope. He also knew that finances were a big issue for me but he never made me feel inferior because of it. Because of his 34 years of expertise and his kindness, I left his office with a solid game plan on how best to resolve my problems. I like to make my own informed decision based on what a Dr tells me and this Dr is very arrogant. . I told him I was hesitant about getting the Xen stent at this time because I was going in for Mohs surgery the following week . He replied that my reasoning was BS and unless I followed his recommendation he would not have me as a patient ! Very unprofessional and condescending . I was completely taken aback and should have walked out at that stage . The only positive thing about this bad experience were the office staff who were friendly and nice .
