Throughout my first appointment he was very open and honest explaining everything that he was doing and not asking me questions I couldn't answer when his hands were in my mouth (I hate that). He also does his own cleanings and even asks the patient to take responsibility for suctioning their mouth, which I liked because it gave me a job to focus on rather than worry about what was happening in my mouth. After the initial cleaning and xrays I had to get two cavities filled. Scheduling and rescheduling appointments is simple and made the process of getting back to the dentist easy! Overall if you are looking for a dentist who will listen to you and help you through your fear Dr. Strcula is the person to go to!

He and his entire staff are extremely friendly and helpful. He is extraordinarily nice and detailed in what he is doing and your options. I loved that he would put the x-ray up on the screen and point out different areas that might need a filling, or ones that could wait, etc. I never thought for a second that he was trying to get extra money or fillings out of me, he seemed very honest in what needed addressed and what didn't. He was able to fit me in on very short notice, and I was extremely pleased with the fillings that he placed. I also felt the prices were very reasonable. And now I have to get a second opinion because I've heard so many stories about how inaccurate her assessments are. The badly trained hygienist shoved the whole metal x ray holder in my mouth (the metal ring should be outside) for maybe a dozen x rays. I started screaming in pain and was even in tears. When the doctor came out she expressed no concern for my pain, just blaming my experience on my large tongue. It had never once been brought up before and it was a really crappy way to get around validating my pain. Later that day as I started having symptoms of a respiratory infection, I lost it. In addition to that agony and degradation, now I had to put everything on hold for nearly a week because of whatever nastiness was on that metal thing shoved to the back of my throat again and again, all while the "medical professional" blamed me for my large tongue. And I missed out on paid work I really needed. Dr Monahan hasn't responded to my other review or two emails. I will not contact her directly again but if she wants to apologize she can reach out to me. I am definitely going to report her and her practice and encourage others to do the same. No one should have to endure this.

THIS IS HIGHLY HIGHLY ILLEGAL. They did this while a girl, whose name is Emma, sat on the phone being condescending. Oblivious to the law or the gravity of the situation. They only released them after I filed a complaint. Do not allow medical professionals to withhold your medical information under any circumstances! This is why we have laws against this. STAY AWAY!

Over the past 30 years, I've had extractions, braces, a couple dozen fillings, and numerous other…read moretooth repairs and cleanings. I have never, in my entire life, had as terrible an experience as I did at Dr. Parker's office. My visit for three cavity fillings began when Dr. Parker went to numb me up. When I told him I have a tolerance for dental anesthetics and generally need a bit more than most people, I was told it was psychosomatic. That was my first red flag...even if pain is only in one's head (and my dentist back home has told me I have this tolerance, it's not a new thing, it's been true since childhood), isn't the point to make the patient feel comfortable? He then proceeded to do one of the shots directly into a nerve in my cheek. (If you've never had this happen, the pain is BLINDING. I actually screamed.) When I had trouble opening my mouth (because he shot numbing agent DIRECTLY INTO A NERVE), instead of helping me gently ease it open, Dr. Parker stuck two fingers in my mouth and literally yanked. The fillings themselves turned out very good, and I've had no problems with them in the two months since they were done, but I was in misery the entire time, CLEARLY in pain and discomfort, and Dr. Parker never stopped, never once asked if I was okay, never bothered to add more anesthetic. Not once, in an hour of work. He clearly has no patience for patients themselves and doesn't care about anything except getting through his work. He also spent a good chunk of this visit belittling the female hygienist assisting him, and even took a break at one point in the middle of my work to go do an eval of another patient. The sheer unprofessionalism would have been enough to turn me off all by itself, even without the horrific way he did the work. I went home after that visit and sobbed. This has never happened to me before. I was supposed to go back after an upcoming root canal to have a crown done, and the thought gave me literal nightmares until I decided to find a new dentist instead. If you have a pain tolerance and don't care about bedside manner, Dr. Parker knows what he's about and is good at the actual dental side of things. If you have any anxiety about dentistry whatsoever, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
