My dad was one of Dr. English's first regular customers after he graduated from dental school, and our entire family has become addicted. Unfortunately, I've moved, and had to find a new dentist, but I have no doubt that I'll be back here someday. TLDR; Make sure you get a receipt if you make any payments at the office and pay with a card so you…read morehave a paper trail. Went in for a simple checkup and cleaning in 2019. Paid my full balance on my way out. A couple months later, a debt collector agency calls me asking for payment for that visit. I dispute with the agency and give transaction info showing I paid. I call the dentist office too to let them know about the collection attempt and give them the same info so we're all on the same page. It's 2021 now. I learned that the debt collection was still on and they were calling my family. I documented everything and requested everything in writing. Disputed the collection again, gave them redacted bank statement as proof of payment and error. They rejected my dispute (mmmhm). I called Premier Family Dentistry and left a voicemail summarizing this issue and identifying their mistake. I get a call back and am asked to email the redacted bank statement. Just got confirmation from Medical Bureau of Pittsburgh that my balance is now paid in full (on behalf of Premier Family Dentistry). How do you put someone through all of this and then not apologize? Or even acknowledge the mistake? Free tip for the office: Consider, "Sorry about our mistake and the inconvenience it caused you." And here's some review accounting for everyone: (- 1 star): turning to a collections agency rather than calling your patient about a billing error (- 1 star): not following up when I called the office in 2019 and alerted you to the error (- 1 star): not owning up to your mistake with an apology or acknowledgement (+ 1 star): correcting the mistake in 2021 (+ 1 star): fine dental work, thumbs up

This man CARED about his patients!! If u had a question he would encourage u to call. He was there for his patients. He took the TIME he needed to make everyone feel COMFORTABLE. Comfortability is very big factor when it comes to dentistry. A lot of people have fears & r uncomfortable even walking in the door. So, making your patients feel comfortable is extremely important in this line of work. And Dr. Houy made u as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately Dr. Houy retired. So, I had to go w/ the other dentist. Dr. Gaga Sandu. At first I didn't get any bad vibes. Was he fast & tried to rush u out...YES! But, that was it (atp). Eventually, I had to get major dental surgery! Something that not only terrified me. But, I didn't know much about after care. I was supposed to get the surgery @ AGH & then return to Dr. Gaga Sandu after. Not only did Dr. Sandu cancel appointments w/o notifying me b4 showing up (prior to surgery). He also blatantly LIED TO ME, GASLIT me into thinking the hospitals ER offered something they didn't, & then when MISCOMMUNICATION was happening he refused to take ANY ACCOUNTABILITY & made me out to be some kinda incompetent fool!!!! I was able to get an Emergency appointment (no thanks to Dr. Sandu) & the HOSPITAL whom was ONLY SUPPOSED TO EXTRACT gave me an aftercare paper & told me to call my dentist for a follow up. Which...MADE SENSE! He is in fact my normal dentist that LITERALLY made a "plan" as far as my teeth & what needs done. So, almost a wk later they squeeze me in between appointments. This appointment was an "adjustment" & to make sure there was no infection. Which also....made sense considering it was a MAJOR DENTAL SURGERY & I needed to know the next step! I go in for my appointment & this "dentist" DR. Gaga SANDU says to me, "y r u here". I repeat what the appointment is for. ATP he is looking at me confused. Did NOTHING, told me NOTHING except "this was the hospitals responsibility but sometimes they're lazy & tell u go to the desntist". Like excuse me sir...U R THE DENTIST & this IS INFACT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR AFTERCARE! Get this, I even had to ASK him how I'm even healing! lol!!!!! THIS GUY...DR. GAGA SANDU IS A JOKE!!!! And doesn't have a CARE in the world about his PATIENTS! He sees a money sign $$$ walk in the door instead of a person. He doesn't know it yet but, he has not only lost me as a patient but, MY ENTIRE FAMILY! Which is not 1 but, 6 patients! I have plastered ALL over every social media site how horrible of a dentist he is. And will continue to preach to people NOT TO GO TO THIS GUY!!! Dr. Butler whom works for this dentistry on the other hand is a VERY NICE, POLITE woman who DOES seem to care for the patient themselves as opposed to if they have "good insurance" or how much is in their bank accounts. Dr. Toth and his wife (the office manager) always ask about my parents and my grandma and share funny stories about times my family members were at the dentist. I have been petrified by any type of dental procedure since I was little--and have had to have a fair amount of dental work including fillings, caps, broken tooth repair... Dr. Toth is extremely gentle and caring, never rushes you, scares you, makes you feel guilty or leaves you unsure of what is going on. Dr. Toth also knows that my worst fear is getting the Novocaine shot...UGH! Just this past month I had to have a small chip filled to prevent it from becoming a cavity. Dr. Toth remembered how much I hate the shot as said we could try it without the shot to start and then if it became too painful he would give me the shot. Thanks to how gentle and skilled Dr. Toth is...no shot! Best of all, my appointment was at 9:45 and I was out the door by 10:10! I would recommend Dr. Toth and everyone in his office to anyone. He is truly an amazing dentist.

I have not been to the dentist in a while and they did not make me feel guilty or embarrassed at all. I had to pay out of pocket for my son because he's not on the insurance plan yet and they gave me a discount because of his young age. I had such a negative relationship with my last dentist this was a breath of fresh air!
