I received a notice on my door that I had flowers to be picked up at Bangor Floral Co. so I went in…read morearound 10 am (hours are 9-5). This is definitely the prettiest flower company I've ever been to. Occupying what appears to be an old church, you enter on the backside and walk up a staircase into a flower wonderland. There is an archway of greens and flowers to greet you and all sorts of flowers and vines for any occasion from "Just Because" to "I'm Reallllllly Sorry". The counter is straight ahead after ascending the steps, and if you're lucky you'll get a welcome bark from the friendly, brindle greyhound and a tweet or two from the parrakeets in a cage on the left. The staff was super friendly and very expedient in retrieving my flowers (which by the way were GORGEOUS). Lillies, roses, and really big pretty purple ones, of which I don't know the name. Bangor Floral Co can really put an arrangement together! They also are famous for their Flower Happy Hour which is a cash and carry event for all cut flowers M-F from 4-5 pm.

This little spot (110 acres) right here is a slice of heaven in the middle of nowhere Maine. The grounds are immaculate. The small outdoor wedding service area is super quaint. It looks to accommodate about 250ish. There is a covered area for cocktail hour and a massive closed or open air 'barn' for the reception. If just screams Maine country vibe with total class. The food was outstanding as well. Sometimes you lose quality with quantity. That was not the case! The staff were incredible too. All around A+. My buddy and his bride picked a winner! Fall seems to be the right time. The leaves were poppin! Plan on guests having about a 30 minute drive from most accommodations in the area. It's remote! Highest recommendation to tie the knot (:

I had the crab cakes which were delicious but small for anyone with an appetite. The salad was fresh and well sized. My husband had the duck and it looked very good, he liked it. I opted for the scallops and risotto- I'd say it was the least tasty of the apps and entrees. Scallops were excellent but the risotto was a bit odd. It was a massive serving with lots of ingredients but lacked flavor. Raspberry Crème Brûlée for dessert was just OK. Love the outdoor rooftop bar. Will try that for a drink before dinner on our next visit. There are cute rooms with pool table, seating and games. Complimentary valet service. Will be back!
