All aces. I'm a bilateral mastectomy patient who had reconstruction but needed aereola and nipple tattooing. There's a lot of emotional baggage that goes along with doing this. She really listened to what I wanted (a winged, smudged liner), modeled a couple options on my eyes with just a pen, and explained to me why she wasn't comfortable doing what I wanted. I had lash enhancement/subtle eyeliner done as I have a hand tremor that makes applying eyeliner difficult. Jill is a very skilled artist with excellent taste. She spent a long time both consulting with me and doing the procedure by hand as some aspects of my skin would've made using a machine less effective or more tricky. I had no discomfort during the procedure and am thrilled with the results. Update, February 2019: this is my favorite thing I've ever had done for my appearance, including haircuts, coloring, mani/pedis, waxing, tinting, etc. I just returned from two weeks vacation in Thailand where I was at the beach, in the pool, scuba diving, or in high heat and humidity non-stop. What a delight to have just a subtle little bit of eyeliner all the time, with no smudging. Between that and a good eyebrow tint, I only bothered with makeup once or twice at dinner time. Permanent makeup - basically, tattooing your face - is never a decision to be taken lightly. Selecting the right permanent makeup artist should never be taken lightly, either. That said, Jill is a true artist and professional. She will give you her honest opinion, even if it means not going with what you initially thought you wanted or was willing to pay for. After several surgeries for a detached retina, the end result was blindness in one eye. I have great difficulty applying and maintaining eye and brow makeup without looking like a crazy old lady. I did a ton of homework before committing to fill in my aging, sparse eyebrows; naturally enhance my eyes with a soft upper and lower eyeliner (aka 'tightliner'); and opting to enhance my fading lip vermillion. It was not a cheap process by any means, but I am absolutely thrilled with the beautiful, natural results. I felt like pampering myself so I browsed around and stumbled upon Timeless Skin Spa. I've gotten regular massages before but noticed they also offer hot stone therapy, which really pulled me in. I called and made an appointment for an hour massage. It also mentioned somewhere on their website to arrive a little before the appointment so you could relax a bit, which was a good idea since I'm always running late =X. When I arrived, I checked in at the front desk. There was something wrong with their computer so they weren't able to print out forms for me to fill out, so we did the questionnaire verbally and it was quicker, so I didn't mind. Next thing I know, I was laying half-naked on the bed. Audra asked me how I wanted to start out. I told her to just ease her way into it, and I'll let her know if it got too intense. I was ready to escape reality. The instrumentals were soothing, the aroma, the silence, and the hot stones all contributed to a very pleasant experience. I found Jill after extensively searching and comparing different salons. I have never had a full set up eyebrows and have been drawing them on since I was about 14. It takes me about 25 minutes to do my eyebrows alone. I was getting tired of it. I met with Jill and we literally had to start from scratch. I drew, she drew, we tweaked, until we were both happy. that in it self took a while and she was very patient the whole time about it. Because I have no eyebrows, we had to use what was just drawn on to start the actual tattoo. So the first pass, for me, was very, very painful because I had no numbing cream. As soon as she was done with that she put some numbing cream on and it was much better. I had two follow-up appointments to complete my eyebrows. Jill really is a perfectionist. I get compliments from people saying my eyebrows are "perfect". Now, most days, I throw on some concealer and mascara and I'm out the door spending only 5 minutes on my make-up daily. Not sure what happened to my first review but this one's for my consultation, appointment and follow up. Problem: up until I decided to have my eyebrows "tattooed" I would have given anything to have my bushy eyebrows from high school back! I went through a lot of phases with my eyebrows--from thick and full to extremely thin. About a year and a half ago I decided to start going to a new place to get my eyebrows waxed and began the process of growing them back in (at that time my eyebrows were painfully thin) and I wanted thick and full brows again. A year and a half later I had grown in as much of my eyebrows as possible and had the shape that I wanted however, my brows were sparse in a few areas and it was driving me crazy! I realized that I had taken my brows as far as they could go. Solution: I decided to do some research on permanent makeup and eventually decided that I would definitely be getting my brows filled in. After researching several places I decided to schedule a consultation and make the hour long drive to Timeless Skin Spa. Consultation: Timeless Skin Spa is a cozy and CLEAN facility. I was greeted by the receptionist and met with Jill shortly after. I found Jill to be friendly, enthusiastic and professional. She took one look at my eyebrows and it was as if she was reading my mind. She knew the exact problem areas that I had and explained the different techniques that she used for filling in. It was very important to me that my brows looked NATURAL, meaning I didn't want a ton of shading done and instead wanted fine hair strokes to make my brows look even and complete and Jill explained that she would do just that. Jill was excited about my filling in my brows and so was I. I left the consultation feeling completely informed about what I would be getting. Appointment: I arrived one week later for my appointment and Jill went over what we had previously discussed. She took several pictures of my eyebrows and thoroughly measured and drew them in with pencil to make sure they were PERFECT before starting. Each step of the way she showed me what she was doing, made professional recommendations and asked for my approval before moving forward. She then mixed the color to match my eyebrows and after about a full hour of making sure the shape, width, length and color was exactly how I wanted it she began. The process was painless and only took about 35 minutes to complete. When she finished and I looked in the mirror I knew I had made the right decision. Jill reminded me implicitly that color does fade and that it takes time for color to set into the skin before you can really see how it turns out. Follow up: exactly six weeks later (yesterday) I returned for my follow up appointment. By this time I was extremely happy with my brows and received a ton of compliments on them. As Jill informed me, some of the color had faded (but not much in my case) and a few areas needed a bit of touching up. Jill took more pictures and explained where I could use some additional filling in and we got started. Once I was finished I was even more happy about the way my brows turned out! Jill did a FANTASTIC job. Conclusion: I would recommend Timeless Skin Spa for permanent makeup since I had a very positive experience there with Jill. I am very pleased with the results of my eyebrows as well as the level of professionalism and personal attention that I was shown. I recently moved to the South Bay and had a baby. Between those two things I haven't been able to get to SF to get any touchups done on my 'permanent' makeup. I decided to look locally and found Timeless Skin Spa based on their reviews. I made an appt to see Jill and get my eyebrows redone and have my eyeliner done (since the liner I had done previously in SF was completely gone at this point). I went in for an initial consultation and got an estimate and recommendations on what she thought should be done. I came in for my appt a couple of weeks later. Jill uses the tattoo gun on my eyebrows and a combination of gun and hand tool on my upper eyelids. She has a great eye for balance and is very precise in her work which are BOTH very important things to have in the person tattoo'ing makeup on your face! When the process is done and your face is puffy and swollen the makeup looks so great dark. I didn't put any thing on over it for the first couple of weeks. It looked incredible! Once it healed it got lighter (as it should!) and if I wanted it more dramatic I added to it. A month later I came in for the touchup appointment on both. I'm even more impressed this time around since my eyeliner looks perfect now! (you need the touchup appt, also to be expected!). I added all the 'to be expected' comments since the questions or comments I've either received or read about permanent makeup procedures always revolve around people thinking that it will be as dark as the day you got it and that you don't need touchups. You might not but sometimes you do. It's not a big deal. I highly recommend Jill though. I'm super picky and super happy about how it turned out. I wil definitely go back in six months or a year for a touchup if I need it. To me it was reasonably priced and worth every penny. I am the kind of client that obsesses over a procedure for a very long time before actually going through with it. I have wanted to have my eyebrows micro bladed ever since it began to become popular. I barely have any hair left on my right brow and my left brow has hair but is super thin. There was no shape and I was terrible at applying makeup. I found Jill through Yelp so I feel it only fair that I follow up and provide a review that helped me ultimately trust her to work on my brows. Jill's expert knowledge of her craft is apparent the moment your consultation begins. I saw online other Eyebrow artists use a graph to align your eyebrows in a perfectly symmetrical way and questioned Jill why she didn't use the same technique. She explained to me that since my face is not perfectly symmetrical (including the height of my brow bones) it wouldn't look good to draw perfectly symmetrical brows. This made so much sense to me and she began to gain my trust. Then she explained that she prefers to use multiple different techniques to achieve a natural look. Micro blading is not her first choice and she decided that she would do shading for our first session. After it healed the shape was everything I could have hoped for. It was exactly what I had wanted. I just finished my follow up visit and we decided to go a bit darker. She was conservative on our first session to make sure the change wasn't too drastic (which I really appreciate!). This time she used a stippling technique to go on top of my previous shading. I cannot wait to see the finished result. I love that I have found Jill and I plan to use her again in 1-3 years when my brows are ready to be redone. read more

I went to Jill because I was tired of dying my brows. It worked ok--they looked pretty good for about two weeks after. Then I saw a friend of mine, who I had just seen about a month previous, and immediately I noticed that her brows looks gorgeous. She said she had them tattooed. I never even heard of this! She does not live in this area so I did what any self respecting gal from the land of technology does: I got on yelp and did some homework. I picked Timeless because of the location and the fact that there we so many five star reviews. I could not be more pleased with my eyebrows. Jill is a perfectionist who is a master at tattooing eyebrows. She studied my skin tone and took her time picking out just the right shade for my brows. She also gave me some input on tweezing which has really improved the shape. I can't believe what a difference it makes. I feel very comfortable without makeup now. I felt before like I disappeared without some makeup. If I had just dyed my brows it might be ok, but now I don't even have to think about it. My brows always look good. Plus they look totally natural. I am going to go back to Jill for permanent eye liner. I met one of her clients who had it and it also looks totally natural. If you are thinking of it, stop looking and go to Timeless. It is now 2 years later and I've come back in for a touch up. I didn't know how long permanent eyebrow color usually lasts before eventually fading a bit - but I do now, and it looks like around 1 1/2 years. By the time I found my previous session photos and got back in to see Jill, my color had lightened quite a bit and some areas had faded unevenly. Mental note - slow down and make the time. I'm still a weenie when it comes to pain - knowing this Jill came up with a more effective local anesthetic - she's just wonderful! So, since there was a base color established from 2 years ago, Jill was able to use her feathered stroke technique and a slightly darker pigment to draw in individual hairs. With the better numbing agent, Jill was able to implant color deeper and darker. I so love my "freshened" look - these brows bring definition to my entire face. On top of that, the calculated distance and spacing Jill does for the start points, the peak arch locations, and the end of my brows, provides a polished and alert look that my sparse-to-non-existent hairs would never have been able to do.
