Never anyone else in (not entirely sure how they make a profit) but its full of clocks all ticking away, and chiming away, to themselves. The chap serving always seems to have an assistant and they're dead helpful. They've replaced watch batteries for me before instantly and also they've repairs a watch for me. I noticed that their clocks on sale seemed to be quite expensive in my opinion but then if they're not busy they'll need to mark them up to make a profit! They have a lot of stuff in there - nothing dead modern or trendy but a lot of traditional stuff and they're very kind and chatty in there so its worth a visit if you need a repair or are thinking of treating someone to a clock/watch as a present. No immediate parking but there's a side road where there'll usually be a spot so its not a problem.

My check-list when buying a watch: -It has to be a good, well-known, posh brand -It has to have a metal strap or maybe if good enough a leather one -It has to, most definitely have a big dial! Oversized timepieces as said by Emma before. And then it would be perfect. Fossil has an amazing collection of watches and I truly do love them after a lot of Tommy Hilfiger, D&G, and the likes. They have great cuts and they seem to get the concept of women actually liking big dials a lot! They have an array to watches to choose from in this little store and during christmas they had some amazingly cheap deals that is way too low for Fossil! So if you're looking for a period to steal, any sale season is right for you! This branch also has some very pretty pendants and jewellery in beautiful tin boxes which can be great gifts. Oh, I forgot to mention about their 'tin box' legacy which I oh so love! Each watch comes in a box that you get to choose, these tin boxes with designs etched on them and somehow, I love little boxes. I love little boxes, little boxes love fossil, I love fossil. And its a cycle which continues forever.

Plus, they come in hardwearing, colourful tins which I STILL use to store teabags and sugar in. Yeah, my kitchen rocks, guys. Rocks... fossils, wow, I am on fire today people. Heck yeah. Er... back to the task at hand. You can get a great deal of wristwear with some interesting designs on them, and there are even mother of pearl faces on offer which I know is a big incentive for some, including my own mum. The ones on the large leather straps are particularly noteworthy as they look unusual and extremely stylish. For the men there are plenty of unique watches in the 'mechanical' category, presumably they can tell you the time in several countries, the temperature of where you're standing, if you're facing North, that sort of gizmo talk. However Fossil ain't just about watches. There's bling to be had. The male jewellery is very surfery and there are some gorgeous rings... remember, man rings are acceptable these days. For women some of the rings look almost eternity band-worthy and only cost around £35. Earrings are simple and gorgeous, as are the bangles, and the jewellery is available in silver and stainless steel. Fossil even has its own range of sunglasses for the guys and gals as well as bags, wallets and gosh, shoes, I bet you weren't expecting that. Fossil is high quality, reasonably priced and full of surprises. What more do you want?

Last Christmas i wanted a ring for my partner but they didn't really have anything i had in mind. Anyway the lady who was serving me was very helpful. She showed me a plain ring and explained to me that i could get it sent away to be engraved and have a diamond added to it. I wasn't sure at first but she managed to convince me in the end! When the ring came back it was absolutely gorgeous and looked better than what i had imagined it would. I don't think i mentioned that this was two weeks before Christmas. The lady went the extra mile to make sure i would have it in time for Christmas and she rung me frequently to let me know how the ring was getting on. I will defiantly come here again for any jewellery. I had a great customer experience and would recommend this shop to everybody!

One thing that definitely hasn't escaped my mind is just how much I wanted one! Judging by the cold metal gleam of today's Swatch stores, things have moved on pretty rapidly. I guess kids are just too savvy to fall for simply naming the big and little hands these days- damn it Playstation, what have you done to our children?! Be that as it may, Swiss watches are still the best in the world, and whilst Swatch isn't exactly giving TAG Heuer and the like sleepless nights it is a brand that makes a quality, stylish product that'll last you a lifetime. The store is uber cool and super modern and the staff are engaging and knowledgeable, making even the process of shopping for your watch much more enjoyable than it has any business being.

They have all sorts of colours, shapes and sizes. Digital watches are evil, these are heavenly. Also, they do loads of great fun kids watches as well so it's a good place to start learning to tell the time. This branch is really nice, as they all are really. Its modern inside with a glowing sign and it makes you really want the watches. The other thing I have to say about this branch is that on two occasions in my 4 years in Manchester, two different men have approached me on Market Street, not very far from this shop, offering to sell me a brand new Swatch watch in its box. Perhaps they should tighten security or something...

They provide an excellent service for repairs / alterations which are quick and reasonably priced. I purchased my wedding rings from this shop and the service was excellent. Unfortunately there have been too many disturbances at this shop recently, but that doesn't stop the staff getting on with it and providing a great service. A lovely shop, which I would recommend for buying beautiful jewellery and special gifts.

I think i would feel a bit intimidated if i went into this shop because it looks very posh inside and the staff might be a bit stuck up but like i said i have never been in so can't really judge i suppose. In the window they always have some really nice ornaments for sale like teddy bears or elephants and i swear one day i will go in and buy one!! They are gorgeous! My sister bought a watch from here like years ago and it still works and shes never changed the battery so they must be good! :)
