I started calling the number on my confirmation this morning and the calls kept getting routed to the New Jersey location. They couldn't tell me anything and said the people in the Elmsford office probably weren't in yet and the calls were defaulted to them. Got someone to give me a direct number to Elmsford and it still was picked up from someone in New Jersey. Finally talked to Michaela in Elmsford who said I was on the schedule and they would be there between 12 and 3. Took me an hour to find that out. Of course no one showed up or called. I called at 4:15 (of course someone in New Jersey answered again) but finally after about 5 separate calls and attempts to transfer me where I was hung up on, someone was nice enough to stay on the phone until he could track down and transfer me the Michaela. She said they were running late but not to worry, they would still be there. Of course no one showed up. Seriously doubt they will even call to reschedule. Two guys came over and quoted me at $200 (which was expensive for the amount I was throwing away, but I didn't have many last-minute options). They took it all, I paid in cash, and thought all was ok until I received a receipt saying I paid $150 when I really paid $200. Obviously it looked like the guys pocketed $50 and only reported $150 being taken for the job. I called 3 times to bug them about what happened. The owner called back after the 3rd call. I'm not even sure where to start with this guy...it was like speaking to an over emotional 12 year old boy. He was extremely agitated from the start of the call...almost acting like I was bothering him from his extremely important daily tasks as the owner of a junk removal company. He claimed that the missing $50 was stolen from him and not me...even though he was the one who sent me the receipt? Now back to the 12 year old personality, he started yelling every time I tried to talk. I then stopped talking and he went on some weird screaming rant that seemed like gibberish. He did this until I finally put him on speaker so everyone around me can hear this guy have a meltdown on the phone. He must have gotten embarrassed because he immediately hung up the phone on me. After providing the quote, the team worked for three hours and did a great job, but the final invoice came to over $3,000 plus tax. He should be ashamed of himself for taking advantage of elderly people.
