Leading up to that, we have seen some improvement to some of the trails but not all of them. Some of the trails are pretty much impassable at this point and could be closed. For this past Halloween duck hunt event, it was publicized as including an after ride party with live music. There was no live music either night, and the bar was not open. No liquor license renewed, so no bar. For some in our group, this was a major disappointment. They are currently looking at other options for holiday bookings for our riding group where more amenities will be consistently available.

The day before they told us we could go to the left side to pass everyone since we already had our passes. I believe the weekends they have the night ride is when it's super crowded like this. We had a lot of fun and there were thousands of people there. The only thing I did not like was like I said the traffic. They should've had a dedicated lane for people who already had passes although we rode past everyone as soon as we get off the highway on a two-lane road and we're able to get in after about 15 minutes there were people that had been in line for three hours that we actually knew that did not do what we did. So that's one downside. Another was ordering the food was quick, but it took 15 minutes for an order of fries to come out. There was only one line so that was another thing where they should've had it split and had two people on the register if possible, but other than that, it was an overall great experience. I would definitely go back, but maybe not during a weekend there is a night ride because it was so crowded. We decided to leave and not do the night ride which was the whole reason we actually had went Unfortunately, someone actually lost their life this past weekend while we were there. I'm not sure all of the details but I did see their body laying on the ground, which was a bit disturbing so I will not go into details out of respect for the person in their family. Another thing I noticed was that all of the other ATV places we've gone to there is a rule if you are on a four wheeler or dirtbike you have to have a helmet. Apparently this rule is not enforced here because there were several people who were on four wheelers and dirt bikes, and no one had on helmets! And the side-by-side or ATVs of course it's not required, but I would imagine being on a four wheeler or a dirtbike it's strictly enforced whether you're on a trail or on the road in the parking lot. And unfortunately, the person who lost their life was on a four wheeler and they did not have a helmet.

The vibe? Birthday party meets family reunion meets "just one more ride." Food: The pizza was doing its job. Big slices, greasy in the best way, and absolutely necessary fuel before unleashing kids (and adults) onto go-karts. Nobody left hungry. That alone deserves a star. Party setup: Long tables, shiny tablecloths, balloons everywhere, and enough space to spread out without feeling rushed. It felt organized but still fun--like someone said, "Let them be loud, just keep the pizza coming." Go-karts: Listen. These kids took the track seriously. Focused faces, death grips on the steering wheels, living their Fast & Furious dreams. Outside track + night lights = elite combo. I saw confidence unlocked in real time. Rides & games: Spinning. Flashing. Laughing. Screaming. Someone always yelling, "WAIT FOR ME!" Another person waving at the camera like they're in a music video. Zero boredom detected. ‍‍‍ Overall: Perfect for birthdays, big groups, teens, families, and anyone who enjoys controlled chaos with snacks. There were a lot options for people from elementary school aged to adults. You could bring an infant but not to participate, obviously. Did the go karts, the VR Carnival game, and A LOT of of games in the arcade. They also had several outdoor attractions that I did not participate in such as mini golf. The staff were consistently respectful at each ride and made sure all riders were safe and securely fastened before the rides began. The only thing I didn't particularly enjoy was the cost of food and beverages. However, I appreciated that they had a refillable water station available, so I recommend bringing an empty reusable water bottle to refill there. All in all, the park was clean, and I appreciated the security at the entrance. Parking was easy since we paid extra for preferred parking. We had kids with us, so it made the walk to and from the car much more convenient.

When we first got here at 11:30 it wasn't too crowded since the temperature was cool today, but it was quickly got busy. A little disappointed that they were short staffed as the staff member doing the Wax hands was also doing the bumper cars and he was busy for like an hour so the bumper cars were not running. The challenge zone is a joke. There are weeds, nets are broken for the basketball hoop and the little trampolines for the aero ball cover are with pine and so worn and shredded. We only found one ball and it was ripped and deflated. If I ever came back again, it would definitely be on a day that they have a special or a deal. Ropes course and zip line is definitely great for beginners kids or adults. I just feel like the price should not be charged fully is everything is not working and available.

We went explicitly for mini-golf and played one round of it, so this review is limited to that experience. The staff was pleasant and welcoming and the course was entertaining. As mentioned in some other reviews, there are holes where there is a risk that your ball will fall into flowing water but that did not present a problem for our group even though multiple balls fell victim. Overall, we had a great time. The crowd was very bearable and did not interrupt the flow of our game. On an advisory note, the golf course is pretty much open air so dress appropriately if it's a hot/sunny day. I look forward to going back for additional rounds of golf even though there is only one course. I'd also like to try my hand at the axe throwing. After our first visit, I would comfortably recommend.

The staff was super friendly and explained the concept of the games. You can also watch a module on how the game should be played. Everyone should experience activate at least once, I brought my son here for his birthday and he and his friend had a blast. Everything seemed clean, my only gripe was the the hand sanitizer stations that they had set up were empty. Some of the games require you to touch balls and leave your hands feeling icky, maybe that's a me thing but why have sanitation stations set up that aren't working or empty. Note: If you go on weekdays it's only $24 per person. Anyhow, everything else was fun. If ever in the area we'll def come again!

Lasers and hoops were easily my favorite, but some of the other strategy and memorization games were super challenging go and fun as well. Also, some of these games really get you to work up a sweat haha! Friendly staff, easy interface with wristband to enter game rooms, a couple of them took a few tries to get the hang of, but other than that, most were straightforward and loads of fun. This beats any escape room, hands down- it's more active, complex, and engaging for everyone, plus it's nice that you can choose which games to play as you break up into smaller groups. Fury is basically the sole reason I chose Carowinds over Dollywood on my trip back from Florida and…read moreit was every bit the bucket list coaster I expected it to be. WOW! I don't usually spring for Fast Lane either but seeing how it was Saturday and Opening Day where The Carolinas Come Together I shelled out mainly with this magnificent mechanical monstrosity in mind. I got in seven rides on this beautiful beast. Carowinds doesn't let you choose what row you want to ride but the luck of the draw eventually rewarded me with both the front and back rows. Front is very scenic. Carowinds still had some skeleton from Halloweekends laying on the ground at the end of the veeery looong first drop which was a nice touch. Front row had my eyes watering like crazy from all the air rushing by at such high speeds. It took several rides before I got anywhere near the rear of the train but when I did I landed in the very back row and Jesus Murphy! The way that train yanks you over the crest of the lift hill had my heart in my throat! That first drop is a doozy. I couldn't get enough of it. Nor of the rest of the ride. The huge overbanked turns, the airtime hills, the flyover and flyunder of the concourse leading to the park entrance, just the overall speed - Fury is the complete package. That tunnel under the walk up to the main entrance is so much better and more dramatic than Gatekeeper's keyholes up at Cedar Point, which doesn't seem like it should be the case since they're so cool looking and unique but this coaster is much faster, bigger and better. What a way for a park to announce itself. Fury is also much better than Cedar Point's giga coaster, Millennium Force. Better pacing and elements and you really feel those extra few feet in that first drop even if it lacks that beautiful Lake Erie setting. Because of this the Cedar Point fanboy in me is glad that Carowinds has nothing like Top Thrill 2. (Which I haven't ridden yet though I've been on its predecessor.) After 7 rides on Fury I'd place it as my third favorite coaster of all time, behind only RMC hybrids Iron Gwazi and Steel Vengeance. So I see why it won all those awards for Best Steel Coaster. It's got a great color scheme and lighting package too, even if short daylight and park hours kept me from getting a night ride in. As a Pistons fan I'm not a big fan of the blatant ripoff of the Charlotte Hornets for the theming but it's funny they don't get any royalties and even I have to admit the logo and hexagon hive theming look pretty cool. Hell, I almost bought a 70s style ringer Fury t-shirt with colored sleeves but they didn't have it in my size. Ride ops were top notch even on opening day. I imagine they staff this one with their best people. I don't know if I'll ever find myself at Carowinds again. I probably won't go out of my way unless they build at least two more amazing coasters but this one here is worth the trip if you've never been. And if I lived around here this one would keep me coming back.

Carowinds recently revamped their midway area and re-branded it the "County Fair" adding four new…read morerides with a small town carnival feel. One of those new attractions is the DoSiDo, and its a fun take on an amusement classic. In similar a fashion to most "scrambler" style rides you're placed in a two person seat and strapped in by a bar and belt. Each seat is attached along with its sibling carts to a large arm, which is then attached to the center tower. The ride starts up and you begin to spin in a circle on your individual arm while the entire apparatus spins as well. Just before it gets up to what you think would be top speed the arms tilt upwards! Your seat is now spinning at a 45 degree angle to the ground while the center spins parallel to it. It's just as much fun as the ground based version, but a little less intense. Somehow the tilt actual puts less force into each rotation while at an angle so it's rather nice. Exciting enough to enjoy, but gentle enough to relax while riding. Great ride for the whole family.
