We were the only ones eating and we went at 10am. I don't think people know abt sat breakfast. Can't beat it for the price! Great service too.

The place is divy and dated looking with a bar and restaurant with two small dining rooms. Service was a little slow because the place was packed and they are clearly under staffed with one bartender and one server for a Saturday at 1ish. The menu says that the prime rib is market value so I didn't know what to expect but the sandwich starts at $18 which was a monster sandwich and the table next to me couldn't stop talking about it for a few minutes, that table had 4 obnoxious young men practically disturbing the whole restaurant which is my one real complaint and obviously locals because the staff didn't do anything. The king cut is $34 which is huge and a great value when you consider that they start you with a loaf of bread and butter which I declined because my plate would be more than I can eat. I had one issue with my whiskey old fashioned sour, no garnish which I brought up to my server and he promptly got me a new one and comped me my drink because it was so out of the norm. I ordered the king cut prime rib that comes with a vegetable medley and I upgraded to the twice baked potato. My plate looked great with probably the biggest slab of prime rib I have ever had. The vegetable medley was average with some vegetables mushy and some with some crunch left in them. The twice bakes potato I didn't care for at all because flavor was odd and too much baked potato was left in the shell. The twice baked portion was a rough mash so the whole twice baked potato had the similar texture to a regular baked potato which I didn't care for at all, not the pillow soft mashed that I'm used to. The prime rib was huge and too lean for me because I like a little more fat/flavor in my prime rib. The crust was pretty tame flavor wise probably to appeal to a wider audience. The prime rib was tender and juicy with the au jus being bland but no problem because the only thing I likes on red meat is salt for a good seasoning. Yes this nailed the crave for prime rib totally. Overall the prime rib dinner is pretty solid and very reasonably priced compared the the Milwaukee area known good prime rib restaurants. This is going to be my lunch time go to prime rib restaurant for sure.

This is a great dive bar. Sorry, but they don't serve food anymore, just snacks and frozen pizza…read more They have about 5 domestic beers on tap, Miller Lite, Geniune Draft, MGD, Spotted Cow, and recently added Riverwest Stein. They're going to be replacing MGD with Coors Light. Plenty of domestic cans and bottles. Also, a good selection of liquors. It's one of those places where if you don't know anyone, might be a little awkward at first. After a few times, things will warm up. There's quite a few older regulars, and some younger folks, usually from fishing or shooting. The beer is cold, and the lines are clean. If you're like me and like a good dive bar with friendly people and good beer this is the place to go.

The Hunters Nest is located pretty much at the end of Schultz Lane in Muskego. The gravel parking…read morelot is enormous but it's shared with the trap shooting club and there is also a boat launch. For $5 you can launch right into the channel that leads to Big Muskego lake, and leave your vehicle and trailers parked in the lot. The bar/restaurant itself is quite large inside and probably hopping on Friday for fish fry. We went on a Thursday and it was busier than I had anticipated with a steady stream of regulars passing through. The dining area is a distinct space that is separate from the bar. We ordered food and chose to sit at the bar, and as a bonus there was a nice view of the channel and outdoor seating area. I got the feeling that this place is cash only. I didn't see anyone paying with a card nor did I see a machine behind the bar. In fact, the register itself looked to be from 1940. I saw an ATM near the entrance so that's convenient. The same goes for the dining area. I noticed that everyone who paid for meals used cash instead of credit. For the food itself, there was a good selection of appetizers and sandwiches. Pizza is also available as well as some other main dishes. The prices were very fair for what is offered. We went with a 14" Franco special pizza and were not disappointed. It was well cooked and tasted great, for less than $15. Most of the sandwiches were between $7 and $9. I enjoyed this place, but it is dated and the bartender was kind of inattentive toward us. I felt that she catered more towards the regulars which made me feel like a burden on her. I would rate this place one star higher if she had paid as much attention to us as our waitress did- especially since we were seated at the bar.

They have multiple large TV's strategy placed so if you want to watch a game it's great for that. They have both high-top and regular height tables with the major regular height. We tried the Pot roast dinner, Mushroom Swiss burger, and the chicken dumplings soup. The soup had excellent flavor and was homemade. Only wish it had more dumplings. The Pot roast dinner came with three large, thick pieces of beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, and carrots. Everything was very good and something that I would order again. One part of burger patty was a little over done but the rest was much better. Ordered medium and it was more medium well but still very tasty and delicious. Our server was amazing and took great care of us. Also got to meet Mike, assistant GM, and really enjoyed talking with him. They have a large parking lot and I believe you can also pull up in your boat. Only recommendation I would have for them is the handicapped parking spaces are on the west side of the entrance and the handicapped ramp is on the east side of the entrance. Would be nice if they were on the same side of the entrance. Highly recommend Doc's on the Fox!
